Story
Hello, I'm Mike and I really enjoy playing with other dogs and enjoy being around people as long as they know a few guidelines. I absolutely LOVE to snuggle with people.  I really like if you'll play ball with me or take walks together and while I'm thinking about it, other kinds of toys are a lot of fun too.  I'm great at watching movies because it lets me perfect my couch potato skills.   While I like to cuddle and get into the personal space of my people, I don't necessarily like to have my space invaded.  I enjoy head pets and will let you know when I am overwhelmed. I am very vocal.  I do have some rules and I need structure from my humans so that I don't take advantage and know my boundaries.   I would do best in a home with a patient person who is willing to take things slowly with me and enforce good boundaries for me.  It's mostly small things that help give me structure like reminding me to walk through doorways last and sit for food and treats.  Because I am a work in progress, I would not do well with children. I am kennel and potty trained, and good with other pets.  I won't eat your favorite shoes or chew on the furniture, And, do I even need to mention how cute I am?  Just look at my overbite, I know, it's hard to resist. Are you interested in meeting me and seeing if I could be your good buddy?  Please click on my link for more information and let my friends at Demi's know when we can play ball. All dogs are spayed/neutered, mircochipped, heartworm tested (if over 6 months old) and up to date on vaccinations (combo shot, bordetella, rabies(if age appropriate) ) ##1677280##

Story
Animal Rescue of the Rockies believes every pet should find a wonderful and caring home. To ensure Loopy finds the best possible home, we ask you fill out our adoption application so we can learn more about you and your household. We review each application in the order submitted and will contact you within 48 hours  (please check your spam folder for our emails) .   Loopy | 10 months | Pug Mix | Snuggly Couch Potato Loopy is a sweet and playful 10-month-old Pug mix who is ready to find her forever home. This little lady is mostly potty trained, letting you know when she needs to go out by standing by the door, and she enjoys calm, enjoyable walks on a leash. Loopy has a bit of separation anxiety, so she would do best in a home where someone works from home or with another dog for companionship when left alone. She is very social with other dogs, positive around kids 10 and older, and shows no preference between men or women. This girl is a classic Velcro pup—she loves to cuddle, rests her head on you, offers her paw for affection, and happily shows her belly for rubs. She has low energy for the most part, with only short bursts of puppy playfulness, and enjoys toys and chewing on bones when she gets a playful mood. Loopy is a picky eater, so love and attention, sometimes paired with a little wet food, is the best way to win her heart. Loopy came to us as a stray from Texas and has already had a litter of puppies, but she is now spayed and ready to enjoy a carefree life with a loving family. She is easygoing and friendly once she gets comfortable in her surroundings, and she would thrive in a patient home where she can settle in at her own pace. Loopy is truly a cuddly, affectionate companion who is looking for her perfect homebody match.   If you and the dog are a good match then we'll connect you with our dog's foster parents to chat more in-depth. If both you and the foster agree that the dog is a good fit then a meet and greet is scheduled. We require applicants' dogs to meet ours to ensure they get along. We'll ask you to read and sign our adoption agreement and pay the adoption fee to complete the adoption when it comes time. Our adoption fees help cover the costs of saving more lives!  A home visit will be scheduled within one week of your new pet going home with you.  The adoption fee for this pet is $400. Our adoption fee covers the following: Spay/neuter Microchip DAPP vaccinations as age-appropriate for the dog.  Rabies vaccinations as age-appropriate for the dog. Adopters shall be responsible for all vaccinations after adoption. Please fill out an adoption application by clicking  here . Please give us 48 hours to review your application and respond to you. (Remember to check your spam folder for our emails!) We want our pets to go to a lifelong new home, so thank you for your patience during the adoption process! Please email dogs@arrcolorado.org for more information, as we can't accept calls. PLEASE NOTE:  The breed listed is the information we've received from the shelter.  Shelters usually guess at the breed, so there is no guarantee, as we don't DNA test our foster pets.  Here is some interesting info on breed identification:  https://arrcolorado.org/category/puppy-dog-tips/ Our adoption process is: 1. Fill out our Adoption Application online.  We'll contact you within 48 hours to answer any questions you may have about the pet. 2. If the pet looks like a great match, we'll schedule a meet and greet and ask you to fill out our online Adoption Agreement if you'd like to proceed with adopting.  Once you've completed the Adoption Agreement and pay the pet's Adoption Fee, you can arrange to pick up your new furry family member! She never destroys the items, she's just sharing! Story | Indy and her 2 brothers found themselves in a Houston shelter and Mile High came to the rescue!Other Dogs | Great! She is in a foster home with 2 big dogs and loves them. She also has had playdates with small dogs and did great.Cats | No cats in her foster home. Children | No children in foster home, but with her sweet, gentle personality, she would most likely do fine.Training |She seems to be potty trained! Purebred dogs regardless of age are $525. These minimum donations help to defer the costs of initial vet care, food, and supplies while in foster care that currently average over $700 per dog).Meeting Dogs | Foster dogs may have meet & greets by appointment to approved applicants only.  To become an approved applicant - please complete the application process. Please know | Available dogs are updated as soon as possible and we do our best to keep it up-to-date, but occasionally dogs shown may become unavailable without notice due to a pending adoption. We encourage you to put in an application even if you don't see your new family member currently, as once you are approved, we can place you on the waiting list for first priority on the selection of the dogs we do bring in. That means you can often meet a dog upon transport arrival and adopt before they even make it to this page!We can not guarantee that a dog you wish to adopt is available by the time your adoption application is submitted, processed, and approved.  Your application is good for one year from the date of applying for any dog as long as it is a good fit for your family and your lifestyle.November 24, 2025, 12:33 am

Story
Hi. My name is Poppy, and I am a Pug/Chihuahua mix.  I am 14 months old, weigh about nine pounds and everyone says I am cute as a button and full of personality. I love to play, take walks, ride in the car, and snuggle. I have a lot of foster mutt siblings at my foster home. I like most of them, but one is really big. Foster mama says he weighs thirty pounds! She tells me he is very friendly, but I am not so sure of that, so I have to show him who’s boss. Foster mama says I can be protective of my favorite human around the other resident mutts. She says it's understandable because I didn't have the easiest past and so I want to make sure I keep tabs on the nice humans.  My best fit forever family or human would be a patient and loving adult or adults, maybe with another dog my size.  I like treats, lots of cuddles, and sleeping curled up with my human. I also like to go wherever my human is going. Sometimes I dash out the door in excitement, but I come back when mama calls. My new family will have to understand that I am just a little thing. The world can be scary, and I need to show how brave and fierce I am. (Mama says that is the Chihuahua in me.) If you're interested in adopting Poppy, please fill out an adoption application here: https://underdogsrescue.org/adopt-form/ Underdogs is a small volunteer-based animal rescue and we unfortunately do not have the resources to respond to phone and email inquires about our adoptable animals at this time. If you're interested in learning more or setting up a meeting with one of our animals, please complete an adoption application first. It may take up to two weeks for application review and one of our coordinators will reach out to you as soon as we are through the intitial review process. We appreciate your patience and understanding! Thank you! ##1943487##
