Please go to our website at www.milehighlabmission.com to find out more about this pet and to submit an adoption application.  Please DO NOT call or email us; all information about current dogs available, adoption donations, vetting, and this specific dog are on our website. We are a non-profit organization and we are completely 100% volunteer run. We DO NOT have a shelter and only approved applicants can make appointments with our foster homes to meet the dogs we have. Our volunteers will not discuss dogs we have available for adoption UNTIL you have an application on file and are approved to adopt.General Notes | If you're looking for a dog who's mastered the finesse of the snort, the gentle art of the slobber, and the undeniable charm of a flat face, then Finn just might be your guy. This handsome pug is excited for Colorado, where he's heard he'll actually be able to breathe freely and might even retire his constant panting. Above all else, Finn is thrilled to find the comfort and love of a family he can call his very own! Want to adopt this dog?  Please do not email us.  Please fill out the Adoption Application ASAP.  Personality | Finn is pure pug charm: loyal, a bit silly, and wonderfully cuddly.Story | Finn was pulled from a high-kill shelter in Galveston, TX. This little pug is eager to trade long, sweaty Texas days for crisp Colorado evenings and happy outdoor strolls.Other Dogs | Good with other dogs. Cats | Finn hasn't been cat tested yet. Since he's practically the same size and just as good at napping, we think Finn would do just fine with a kitty companion.Children | Finn's perfectly lap-sized for kids, making him an instant best friend for cozy cuddles and story time.Training | In progress. Leash | In progress. Activity Level | Very low energy for a lab ;)Health Notes | Finn was recently neutered and is now ready for the good life in Colorado!Thank you! | Adoption Donations |  Our adoption donations are $475 for dogs 8 weeks to 1 year, $425 for 1-6 years, $375 for dogs 7-10 years, and $250 for 11+ years of age. Purebred dogs regardless of age are $525. These minimum donations help to defer the costs of initial vet care, food, and supplies while in foster care that currently average over $700 per dog).Meeting Dogs | Foster dogs may have meet & greets by appointment to approved applicants only.  To become an approved applicant - please complete the application process. Please know | Available dogs are updated as soon as possible and we do our best to keep it up-to-date, but occasionally dogs shown may become unavailable without notice due to a pending adoption. We encourage you to put in an application even if you don't see your new family member currently, as once you are approved, we can place you on the waiting list for first priority on the selection of the dogs we do bring in. That means you can often meet a dog upon transport arrival and adopt before they even make it to this page!We can not guarantee that a dog you wish to adopt is available by the time your adoption application is submitted, processed, and approved.  Your application is good for one year from the time of applying for any dog as long as it is a good fit for your family and your lifestyle. June 13, 2025, 1:42 am

**Adoptions are currently by appointment only. If you're interested in adopting, please start by clicking the "Apply for Adoption" button above** Hi! My name is Enid. I am a silly and wild Pug puppy that is ready to take on the world. Well, almost... I've had a rough start to life. When I came to the shelter it was discovered that I had fractured my leg. I am scheduled for surgery at the end of June. I would love to be able to have a family around me while I rehab from this surgery. The vet team here at CARE can tell you all about what that looks like. Enough about that though, let me tell you more about me! I am so so silly. I love to play and I've got typical Pug puppy energy. This leg doesn't slow me down at all. I would love an outgoing family and would probably be down for some adventures once I'm all healed up. I love all people and seem to enjoy being around other dogs. I am working on potty training and would love to learn what a leash is. If I seem like a good fit for your family, please reach out to C.A.R.E. today!

Story
Meet Alvin! At just 1 year old Alvin is such a perfect age..old enough to be past his babyish behaviors and young enough to have many, many healthy and active years remaining. At 29 lbs, Alvin is a perfect size to accompany his family just about anywhere a very sweet small/medium sized dog is welcome while being large enough to be an active best friend enjoying the gorgeous hiking trails of Colorado. From Alvin's foster: "Alvin is amazing. He is such a good dog! He is SO sweet and so friendly with new people he meets, and new dogs he meets. He is the perfect balance of young dog playfulness, cuddling, and gentle. Such a sweet guy who will make someone so so happy! He is also truly the perfect size. He is not too small and not big - the perfect 'shmedium' size! He is potty trained too! He sleeps in his crate at night and does well in it when I leave the house." Alvin loves everyone..be it human or canine. We want to nurture this positive vision of the world by matching Alvin to a family who expresses their devotion for him in many different ways. We'd like Alvin to attend in-person or virtual positive reinforcement / force-free obedience classes to be the very best adult dog he's capable of being. We also feel Alvin will be most comfortable with an adult family or one with older, dog-crazy kids. We wouldn't want tail pulling or awkward handling by very young children. Right now, Alvin is a blank slate who will soak up positive feedback with every effort to be the best behaved and most cuddly guy around. Alvin is so loyal that he can easily be a constant companion. He would love nothing more than being together enjoying and learning from his family. Trips to the store (he's a great window-shopping friend), lap-sitting or a place on the couch for movie-watching with belly rubs..all would be perfect for Alvin's sweet personality once he's comfortable in his environment. Alvin has the stunning coat and cottony-soft hair that speaks of his breed mix. He will require a lifelong commitment to periodic baths / brushing and excellent nutrition. A daily salmon oil supplement and 5 star food will be excellent choices for Alvin's coat care and longevity to keep his hair cottony-soft and shining with good health. Alvin has been fully vetted and vaccinated to support Farfel's commitment to adopting out only healthy dogs. He has also been neutered in recognition of the overpopulation tragedy in the canine population. Alvin is available for adoption now. Applications are currently being accepted for this very sweet, loving and loyal best friend. An application can be found at http://farfels.com/farfels-rescue/adoption-form/. If interested, please fill out completely and submit. **PLEASE NOTE** If you're truly interested in adopting Alvin please be sure to fill out our Farfel's Rescue adoption application found at the link above or at farfels.com. Adoption site applications such as Petfinder and Adoptapet don't provide enough information and therefore aren't useful. Our Farfel's application is the only initial tool that we have to determine a great match for this very deserving dog. We're sorry, but in many cases, we're unable to get back to those that don't submit our Farfel's Rescue adoption application. Thanks very much for choosing rescue.
