Story
This dog was rescued from a high kill shelter in Texas. Meet and greets are by appointment only.  An approved application is required to schedule a meeting. Check out our events page for upcoming open adoption events! We have no additional back story or update for this dog at this time.  When we do, it will be updated here.  This is all the information we have currently. Approved Applicants may make the adoption fee payment by clicking donate above.  Partial adoption fees will not hold a dog. If upon meeting the dog of your choosing at your scheduled pickup time you find that you aren't a good match, your deposit will be fully refunded. Adoption fees include vaccines up until time of adoption, microchip, spay/neuter and 1st 30 days of free pet insurance.  We are not affiliated with MetLife pet insurance. (you have to sign up for the insurance or it will not go into effect).  Adoption fees help cover the medical care of the animals while he or she waits for a new home, as well as food and transportation costs. These fees help to provide care for the other animals in the shelter or rescue group who may have medical bills that are much higher than any possible adoption fee. The money also acts as a donation to help support the organization as a whole, allowing the group to continue its efforts to rescue and rehome pets. The dogs in our care are fostered in Colorado, Texas, and New Mexico.  While all dogs are picked up during our scheduled times, sometimes transport dates change due to unforeseen circumstances.   More questions?  Read our FAQs here: https://4p4l.org/faqs/  Breed labels are a "best guess" by a shelter veterinarian and cannot be guaranteed.  ##2651359##

Story
Meet Juice Breed: Pug Sex: Male Birthday: 8/24/2024 Weight: 16 pounds Health: Healthy; in the process of being neutered and brought fully up to date on vaccinations Training: Crate trained, leash trained, potty training in progress Juice is a sweet, playful, brindle Pug with the gentlest soul and the happiest heart. At two and a half years old, he’s the perfect blend of youthful energy and cuddle-ready calm. Juice takes his meals and snacks very seriously (food is life), but everything else in the world is met with joy, friendliness, and an open heart. He truly has no mean bone in his body — Juice just wants to be everyone’s friend. Personality Juice is loving, social, and full of joy. He adores people, loves other dogs, and thrives in social settings like the dog park, where he happily runs, jumps, and plays with his favorite toys. He also does well with cats and has a calm, easygoing nature that makes him a pleasure to be around. Juice enjoys walks and adventures and is good on a leash. He’s playful and energetic when it’s time to have fun, but once the day winds down, he’s more than happy to curl up close and melt your heart. He’ll also proudly alert you when someone knocks at the door, making him a great little watchdog with a big sense of purpose. While he hasn’t had much exposure to children yet, Juice has shown nothing but kindness, gentleness, and a playful spirit. Breed Info: Pug Pugs are known for: Loving, people-focused personalities Playful yet relaxed temperaments Strong emotional bonds with their families Thriving on companionship and inclusion They do best in homes where they are treated as true family members and not left alone for long periods. Owner Responsibilities Juice will thrive with an adopter who can provide: Daily companionship, playtime, and affection Continued positive reinforcement for potty training Moderate exercise and mental stimulation A consistent routine and lifelong commitment Pugs are deeply social dogs — Juice wants to be included in everyday life, not just cared for. &#226&#154&#160&#239&#184&#143 Things to Consider Before Adopting Before adopting Juice, please consider: Do you have time for daily interaction and play? Is your housing stable and pet-friendly long term? Are you prepared for routine vet care and breed-specific needs? Will Juice be included as part of the family? Adoption is a lifelong promise, through all of life’s changes Vet Care Although Juice is healthy, adopters must schedule a visit with their own veterinarian ASAP to continue his care, complete neutering follow-up if needed, and establish a long-term health plan. 3-3-3 Rule First 3 days: Juice may be excited and slightly overwhelmed First 3 weeks: He’ll learn your routine and feel more secure First 3 months: Trust deepens, and he’ll fully settle into his forever home Patience and consistency will help him thrive. Why Juice Is So Special Juice is the kind of dog who brings happiness wherever he goes. He’s playful, gentle, affectionate, and full of life — the perfect mix of fun and heart. He’ll happily play all day, make you laugh endlessly, and then curl up beside you like he’s always belonged there. Juice is ready to give his whole heart to a family who will love him the way he deserves. If you’re looking for a joyful companion who offers loyalty, laughter, and unconditional love, Juice is your boy   If you are interested in adopting this amazing dog, please follow the link https://www.ozzieandfriendsrescue.org/adoptions and fill out an application  Thank you for choosing Ozzie and Friends Rescue.
