Story
** If you are interested in adopting Kyle please fill out our adoption application at http://farfels.com/farfels-rescue/adoption-form/ ** Meet Kyle! Kyle is an adorable, 5 year old Pug with a huge personality packed into one squishy, little, 24 pound, bowling ball like body. Kyle came to us after being surrendered to a shelter we work closely with in New Mexico. Thankfully, that sad chapter is behind him now, because Kyle has made his way to Colorado and is ready for a fresh start filled with love, comfort, and absolutely zero drama! Despite losing his home, Kyle remains an incredibly social, happy little guy. He absolutely loves people and other dogs. He also is currently living with a cat with no issues at all! He's New Mexico foster had 8 other dogs, including both big and small dogs, and he gets along wonderfully with all of them. He's proven himself to be easygoing, friendly, and very dog social. Kyle is also potty trained, which is always a huge plus! Kyles personality is impossible not to fall in love with. The second this boy gets excited, his tiny little feet start doing the cutest tippy tappy dance like he physically cannot contain his happiness. Pair that with his giant smile and goofy little tongue hanging out half the time, and he will absolutely melt your heart within seconds of meeting him. One thing his previous home did note to the shelter is that he does not do well with children. While we have not personally tested him with kids ourselves, we do want to respect the information they provided. The reality is that many dogs simply feel uncomfortable around young children due to the noise, unpredictability, fast movements, and high energy that often comes with kids. Because of that, we think Kyle would be happiest in an adult only home. Kyle is ready to leave the stress behind and start the next chapter of his life with a family who will adore him for the funny, affectionate, joyful little guy he is. We cannot wait for this sweet boy to finally get the happy ending he deserves! We'd like to place Kyle in a home where he'll get consistent stimulation, exercise and love. A (virtual or in-person) positive reinforcement group training class promotes great behavior, bonding and confidence. Training is so important in the future behaviors of every dog. It's for this reason that we're unwilling to adopt to a family that doesn't make this loving choice. Farfel's is happy to provide a list of both in-person and virtual positive reinforcement / force- free trainers in your area. Kyle is up to date on his vetting, vaccines, and neutered. He did test LOW positive for heartworm, which is extremely common in dogs coming from states like Texas and New Mexico where mosquitoes are active much of the year. Heartworm is NOT contagious to other dogs, dogs can only get heartworm through the bite of an infected mosquito. Kyle is only lightly positive, which is truly the best case scenario when it comes to heartworm diagnosis, and he has already started treatment. Heartworm is fully treatable, and we will cover the full cost of his treatment until he is heartworm-free! Farfel's Rescue is a fully foster based rescue, and offers a one week trial with every adoption. We feel that this is much more beneficial to not only the dog, but the adopter too. We believe that only getting 20-30 minutes with a dog before deciding on a lifetime commitment is not a fair amount of time to the adopter, or the dog. Therefore we give adopters one week with the dog to assure it is the right fit, and offer a full refund of their adoption fee should it not workout within the week trial. Farfel's Rescue has been doing adoptions this way since 2005 and is thrilled to adopt out 400 dogs each year. Applications are currently being accepted for our wonderful pup. If interested in this gorgeous, very cuddly/sweet and loving best friend, please fill out an application completely at http://farfels.com/farfels-rescue/adoption-form/ and submit. **PLEASE NOTE** If you're truly interested in adopting from us, please be sure to fill out our Farfel's Rescue adoption application found at the link above or at farfels.com. Adoption site applications such as Petfinder and Adoptapet don't provide enough information and therefore aren't useful. Our Farfel's application is the only initial tool that we have to determine a great match for this very deserving dog. We're sorry, but in many cases, we're unable to get back to those that don't submit our Farfel's Rescue adoption application. Thanks very much for choosing rescue.

Story
** If you are interested in adopting Poncho please fill out our adoption application at http://farfels.com/farfels-rescue/adoption-form/ ** Meet Poncho! Poncho is an adorable, 1 year old, 14lb Chihuahua / Pug mix with the cutest squishy little pug face (and tail!) and a personality that absolutely lights up the room. This goofy, happy little guy came to Colorado from a high-kill shelter in rural Texas, where he quickly became a staff favorite and completely stole everyones hearts. Poncho is incredibly friendly, social, and full of personality. He has that hilarious, clownish charm that makes Pug mixes so lovable, combined with the affectionate, loyal nature of a Chihuahua. He's the kind of dog who keeps you smiling all day long with his silly expressions, funny little noises, zoomies, and playful antics. Poncho loves being involved in whatever his people are doing and has a naturally happy-go-lucky attitude that is impossible not to adore. From Poncho's foster: "This little boy is SO funny!!!! He is totally potty trained!! He spends the night in his crate quietly, but LOVES to cuddle and would love to sleep in bed with his person if they let him. On walks he is very eager to say hello to all new people. He is so social and SO friendly!!! He's a really good boy. He truly knows no stranger. He greets every new person like they're his long lost friend and he is SO excited to see them again, haha! He is adventurous and will try to slip out the front door and adventure, so be cautious opening the front door with him around!" Poncho is a social guy who does enjoy the company of other dogs. During his time at the shelter, he was even kenneled with a dog he had never met before because he was so friendly and easygoing with other dogs. Like many young, enthusiastic dogs, Poncho can get overly excited when he spots other dogs while out on walks. His excitement currently comes out as barking when he sees another dog on walks. Off leash, he is quiet and loves other dogs and loves to play. Poncho is very food motivated and responds well to positive reinforcement training. When his foster is walking him, if he starts barking at another dog she will get his attention with a high value treat. We'd like to place Poncho in a home where he'll get consistent stimulation, exercise and love. Farfel's is happy to provide a list of both in-person and virtual positive reinforcement / force- free trainers in your area. Poncho is up to date on his vaccinations, has been fully vetted, is healthy, heartworm negative, and is neutered. Not good with kids, Not good with cats, Needs special attention, Needs experienced adopter,
Story
He’s a sweet dog that loves to go on walks, takes naps and eat treats. He can be protective when it comes to someone he loves and has lashed out at strangers. He doesn’t do well with babies or young kids and is semi okay with older ones. He is a very quick learner who knows sit, paws, lay down, rollover, circle and stay. An ideal home would be with someone who’s home often and does not have any children. A fun fact about him is he will let you spin fidget spinners on his paws.
