Story
HIGHLIGHTS -Heartworm positive, may require medical follow up after treatment Duncan is a spunky and lovable pug with a big personality in a small package. He is friendly, sweet, and food motivated, which makes him eager to please and a joy to spend time with. Duncan gets along well with other dogs and would make a wonderful companion to chill and hang out around the house—he enjoys being part of the family’s daily routine and soaking up affection. Duncan is heartworm positive and will need ongoing medical follow-up to complete his treatments, so he will need a family ready to support his health needs. With a little care and attention, Duncan is ready to be a loving, loyal member of a patient and caring home. ------ Before being rescued, many of our dogs had limited socialization, so they may need some time to adjust to life as a family pet. Older kids are often a great fit for our dogs, and homes with younger children will be considered based on each dog’s individual needs. Skills like house training and leash walking may take a little extra patience and practice. However, with understanding and a gentle hand, most of these dogs adapt quite quickly. Being a part of their rehabilitation is a truly rewarding experience. To learn more about mill dogs and start the adoption process, visit our website!

*We will not be at Pet Supplies Plus on December 20. Instead, join us for our annual Deck the Paws holiday adoption event! From 11 AM–1 PM, you can find us at Maxline Brewing (2724 McClelland Dr #190, Fort Collins, CO 80525). See you there!* Meet Rick – The Happiest Pug You’ll Ever Meet! If you're looking for a joyful, confident, and playful companion, look no further! Rick might be the happiest dog in the world (according to his current foster dad!). With his sunny disposition, he’s ready to bring endless smiles and wagging tails into his new home. Rick is as friendly as they come. He gets along wonderfully with dogs of all sizes, ages, and personalities. Whether it’s playing with his two big 50lb foster siblings or snuggling with his tiny 10lb friend, he is always ready for some fun and affection. Rick is house trained, kennel trained, and has excellent manners – making him a great addition to any home. This active little guy is looking for a friendly, outgoing family where he can shine and share his love and joy. Whether you’re an active family who loves outdoor adventures, or just looking for a lovable, happy buddy to relax with, Rick will be the perfect best friend. If you’re ready to welcome this sweet, confident, and playful pug into your life, reach out to us today – Rick is waiting to meet you! Rick is a 1-year-old Pug rescued from a high-intake shelter. This dog's adoption fee is $800 and includes up-to-date vaccinations, microchip, 4DX testing, and neuter. Rick is also tested with other dogs, children, and potty and kennel trained. He is not tested with cats. We would love for you to meet this dog and see if he might be a good fit for your home. The first step to adoption is completing an adoption application on our website at www.bounceanimalrescue.org. Pending approval, your application is valid for 1 year, and you will be eligible to request a hold on an individual animal for the Saturday adoption event. The hold does not require that you take the animal home, but ensures you get to meet and make an adoption decision prior to other applicants. Also pending approval, you will be able to acquire foster home contact information, so you inquire on personalities of specific animals. We do offer midweek private adoption appointments for approved applicants pending staff, foster home, and vetting schedules. Because we are 100% foster-based, private adoption appointments are only offered for individual animals. (If interested in viewing multiple animals at one time, we encourage you to attend our adoption events!) Please note, we do not have the ability to process adoption applications at our adoption events, so please plan accordingly. If an application is submitted past 5pm on Monday-Thursday, it will begin review the following day. If submitted on Friday-Sunday, it will begin review on Monday. It takes approximately 1-2 business days for an application to be processed. Our adoption events take place every Saturday from 10am-Noon at Pet Supplies Plus (Front Range Village, 2912 Council Tree Ave #100, Fort Collins, 80525). For additional questions regarding meeting this dog please contact us via text/email at 970.699.6772, or contact@bounceanimalrescue.org. We apologize for any inconvenience, but due to a high volume of inquiries, calls and voicemails regarding adoption will not be returned. Thank you for choosing adoption! Story
"Bug is one-eyed wonder with a BIG personality! At just 8 months old, she’s already had a tough start in life, with the loss of one eye, but that hasn’t stopped her from being one of the sweetest, goofiest, and most affectionate dogs you could ever meet. Bug’s personality is absolutely one-of-a-kind. She has a little obsession with smelling people’s chins as her way of saying hello and showing affection. She also has a hilariously stubborn belief that once she’s on a chair, she cannot get off without help. Her foster family has learned to anticipate this dramatic moment, which never fails to make them laugh. Every day with Bug brings a new funny little quirk that keeps everyone smiling. She’s a social pup who gets along beautifully with kids, cats, and other dogs. She’s leash-trained and loves to explore, but she also enjoys snuggling up and sharing her affection. Bug has mastered crate training and is making excellent progress with potty training. She’s smart, eager to please, and ready to learn more with a patient and loving family. Despite her missing eye, Bug’s spirit is whole and full of life. She’s incredibly sweet, cuddly, and always looking for someone to love. She’s ready to find her forever family, the one who will embrace her quirky personality, laugh with her, and give her the love she’s been dreaming of. If you’re ready for daily laughs, cuddles, and a heart full of unconditional love, Bug is ready to meet you!" Pug Bug is being fostered in Longmont, Colorado. *We require all adopters to come to Colorado to adopt. *We do not transport dogs.* You can view this wonderful dog at https://www.milehighcanine.org/post/dogs/pug-bug/.
