Story
What would a life with Oliver look like?  Considering adopting Oliver is a commitment to such a deserving boy who, despite his past, refuses to let that stop him. It’s also a commitment to yourself to meet him where he is at and watch him grow. It’s honestly one of the most rewarding experiences I have had and an honor to earn his trust little by little. This gremlin is brave, eager to please, goofy, soulful, stubborn, smart, and such a joyful presence to have around.    A day in the life of Oliver   5-8am ish: wake up, wake up foster mom with foster siblings, give kisses and exaggerated butt wiggles, make gremlin noises, and bed wrestle with foster siblings. Outside to potty (I’ll use the dog door if I have one), play, and wait patiently for breakfast while my foster mom gets ready for work. Breakfast in my slow feeder, outside again before my foster mom leaves for work, and bound in to my kennel to wait for the yummy chew I get.    Weekday 8am-4:30pm: hard chill time because apparently someone has to work around here.    4:30-5pm: exaggerated butt wiggles, gremlin noises because I’m so excited to see my foster mom, and straight outside to potty. Business first. Dinner, most important.    5pm-10pm: Training exercises for 15-20 minutes! I am working on so many things and I absolutely love my training! Sit, free, place, readyyyy…..catch, leave it/impulse control, look, find it, touch, repetition of getting my harness and collar on, building confidence, and learning what kind of play feels good with a human (I’m an expert at playing with dogs).    On weekends I love to participate in the yard work, sun bathe, play with my dog friends, join on walks (a little bit of a process right now but I’m doing great!), play with toys, chew on bones, and try out new enrichment activities.    *Getting in the car: right now I have to go into my kennel and be carried to the car but it’s something we are working on in training.    *Getting harness/collar/leash on: this also has to be done in my kennel because that’s still too close for my comfort but also necessary so.    *Petting: Oliver’s life before rescue is a mystery but I have a suspicion that humans were not very nice to him. As humans we want nothing more to pet a dog, with Oliver that is going to take a lot of time for him to trust touch. He has made strides but he prefers treats from humans versus petting. Understanding this about him and not letting it stop you from witnessing the amazing things Oliver is capable of is so important for his new home. He may or may not ever come around to it and that has to be okay.    Oliver’s musts in his forever home:  Another playful dog. It’s required, he thrives with a canine companion.  Someone who can see through his quirky tendencies and into the soul of a dog who continues to show up and try.  Willing to continue his training, I will make sure you have everything you need.  Someone who will have his back and advocate for him. Think: please don’t reach for him, he doesn’t want to be pet. Here feed him this treat, he loves food.  Oliver’s adoption fee has been sponsored and we are looking for the right home for him.  Please fill out an application so the rescue is aware of your interest and a meet and greet can be arranged. He sometimes goes to adoption events but not always.    Oliver is so deserving of his forever home and anyone who has met him can feel just how hard he is trying.  ##2605241##

Story
Meet Leo — a one-year-old pug mix with a heart full of love and enough enthusiasm for life to brighten every room he enters! This sweet, loyal boy is happiest when he’s close to his people, soaking up attention, snuggles, and every little adventure the day brings. Leo has an ecstatic zest for life that makes even ordinary moments feel special. Leo would thrive with an adopter who understands pugs and small breeds — someone who appreciates their quirky personalities, affectionate nature, and sometimes sensitive side. He bonds deeply with his humans and is looking for a forever family that will cherish him as the devoted companion he is meant to be. When it comes to other dogs, Leo does best with slow, thoughtful introductions to help set everyone up for success. Once he feels comfortable, his playful and loving personality shines through beautifully. Whether you’re looking for a cuddle buddy, a loyal shadow, or a tiny best friend to share life with, Leo is ready to fill that role with his whole heart. He’s the kind of dog who will greet every day — and every person he loves — with pure joy. ##2722688##

Story
Meet Molly! ✨ If you're looking for the sweetest little companion, look no further—Molly is pure perfection! This adorable girl is ready to find the loving forever family she's been waiting for. Molly is a friendly, playful 3 year old pug and absolutely loves spending time with her people. Whether she's soaking up cuddles, playing with her canine friends, or simply being by your side, she's happiest when she's surrounded by love. She also gets along wonderfully with other kind, gentle dogs. Molly has one very special feature that makes her even more unique—she has had one eye removed after suffering a painful injury before coming into rescue. The good news? She's now pain-free, thriving, and happier than ever! Her missing eye doesn't slow her down one bit—it just adds to her charm and reminds us how resilient and amazing she is. Molly is ready to leave her past behind and start the next chapter of her life with a family who will love her just as much as she'll love them. Could Molly be the missing piece your family has been waiting for?
