Story
Hello everyone! I’m Piper. A pretty little 2-year-old, 20 lb Pug mix ready for a chance to live a much better life as a beloved pet instead of a breeding mama. I was owned by backyard pug-mix breeders, and after a fire burned down their trailer, the neighbors helped the survivors by calling dog rescues. I was saved by 4 Little Paws Rescue, along with another pregnant mama now named Penny, and just in the nick of time! The very next day in our new foster home in Von Ormy, Texas, I delivered a single puppy on April 13th, and two days later, Penny delivered 6 puppies. It was a puppy palooza, and now that they are all weaned and getting ready for adoption, so am I. I’m now spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, and up to date with flea/tick/heartworm prevention. Yep, I’m ready to GO!! My foster mom wants you to know that I am a very sweet and happy girl. I may be shy when we first meet, but I warm up quickly, and even when I’m scared, I’m gentle and will still let you pick me up. Almost right away, my joy for life and sparkling personality resumes, and I’m running zoomies, playing with dog friends, and enjoying doggy toys. I am affectionate, not kissy, but I LOVE to cuddle, and when I see you plop down on the couch, I’m right there beside you. I am also well-behaved, housebroken, know how to use a doggy door, and only bark when I need to alert you. I enjoy going for walks, and I love a ride in the car, so feel free to take me along on road trips. I know I will become a cherished member of your family, so inquire about me today! Adoption Fee: $650 * 4 Little Paws is based in CT. We adopt in many different states along the East Coast. Transport costs are included in the adoption fee. If you are located outside the states we typically adopt to, we have options to get the dog of your dreams to your location.

Story
Meet Koda! Looking for Their Forever Home A couple of months ago, we were made aware of two dogs in urgent need of rehoming. At first, we were not sure we had the capacity to help—but after meeting them, it was clear they needed immediate care, safety, and a second chance. With the help of an incredibly compassionate foster mom and a generous donor, Snoopy and Koda received full veterinary care and have been learning what it means to feel safe, loved, and part of a home. Now they’re ready for their forever family! Koda
Koda is an approximately 2-year-old female pug—and she is everything you love about pugs. She’s petite, playful, and incredibly sweet. She comes with:
A tiny tongue that peeks out when she sleeps
, the cutest little “vampire” underbite
, a squishy muffin head that’s impossible not to kiss She’s full of personality and love, and she will absolutely steal your heart. Their Personalities
: Both dogs are incredibly sweet and affectionate
, great with people and children, house-trained and adjusting well to home life
, learning how to play, relax, and just be dogs They share a strong bond and came from the same situation. However, we understand that may not be realistic, and we are open to applications for one or both. Both Snoopy and Koda are up to date on vaccinations and have been spayed/neutered/microchipped. We are committed to finding the absolute best homes for them. Adoption Requirements Completed application Personal and veterinary references Proof of home ownership or landlord approval (verbal & written) Meet & greet Home visit Interested in adopting? Please email: sdbpctrescue@gmail.com An application will be sent to you.

Story
Get ready for Bob Buttons to take over your life and your heart! This 10-week-old pug mix (supposedly a poodle-Yorkie mix) is a tiny ball of chaos with a genius-level grasp of mischief. He’s a pro at “sit” and is working on potty training (wish him luck!). Dogs? Bring them on, if they can hang. He does respect the resident curmudgeon’s rebukes. Kids over 7? They’re his favorite - nips and all. Bob will need a home where he will not be crated or left alone for long periods of time as he is a puppy and will get into mischief and he is too young to not have any accidents. . Bob's ideal home would be with a family where someone works from home to keep up with his training. Apply at petresqinc.org and let the fun begin! Please don't email with questions. Once we receive an application, if approved, it will be sent to the foster who can answer questions and set up a meet. May 22, 2026, 9:31 am
