*Name: Sienna  *Age: approx DOB 6/10/24 *Current Weight: 8 lbs  *Adoption fee: $550 (plus $150 spay/neuter deposit, see below for more information) Meet our little social butterfly! This sweet girl is the total package—friendly, adorable, and absolutely brimming with puppy charm. She gets along wonderfully with everyone she meets, whether they’re cats or dogs of any size! Her favorite things? Playing with anyone (and anything!) and showing off her fun-loving, spunky personality. She’s still in that playful puppy stage, so she’s a pro at nibbling, teething, and exploring everything with her mouth—just part of her natural curiosity! Despite her love of play, she’s surprisingly quiet and doesn’t bark or whine much, making her an easygoing, joyful little companion. Oh, and she’s a BIG food lover! Snacks are her love language, and she’s always happy to taste-test anything you’re willing to share. This little cutie can’t wait to find a forever home that matches her sweet, playful spirit!  IMPORTANT: This dog has not yet been altered. SNARR requires a $150 deposit in addition to your adoption fee, as well as a strictly enforced Spay/Neuter Contract stating you will have this dog altered within 6 months of adoption. The $150 deposit will be returned once the contract has been fulfilled. To apply to adopt, fill out an application at https://snarrnortheast.org/adopt/ PLEASE CLICK HERE FOR FAQs  ##2227474##

Story
Nova is ready to join a forever family! She is a small dog with a BIG personality! Nova is your perfect compact companion. Always ready for an adventure, Nova would make the perfect hiking/walking partner! Nova loves everyone she meets dogs, cats and especially kids! She absolutely loves to play, and would play ALL DAY LONG if you let her! She’s especially great at playing fetch. This spunky gal will make an amazing addition to just about any family. Her ideal home would be an active one, and/or they’d have a very playful doggy companion but a family that matches both of those things would be make her dreams come true! After a day of playing she loves to settle on the couch and end the day with a good cuddle session. Nova is house trained, walks great on a leash, is a perfect passenger in a car, knows the commands "come", "sit", "go to your pen". Nova is a pug/shih-tzu mix, and may need the occasional trim with a professional groomer to keep her looking her best! If you're interested in adding this adorable, energetic puppy to your family, visit our website www.pprct.org and fill out an adoption application!

Story
Meet Yin Yang Yin Yang is a perfect example of the quintessential CHUG - a chihuahua and pug mix. Yin Yang is still very young - we know his real birthday is November 29, 2023 - so he shall soon turn the big ONE! We know his birthday because he was an owner surrender, as he was the result of an accidental litter. He is only 11 lbs today and will likely not grow much bigger. Yin Yang is great with kids, dogs and cats. He is house-broken and crate trained as well. He will need a little help learning to walk on leash but otherwise is a laid back sweet little guy. Interested in becoming this pup’s forever home? For immediate consideration, please fill out our online adoption application: http://www.friendswithfourpaws.org/adoption-form.html This is the first step in our process, and we DO NOT go any further without an application. If there are multiple dogs that you are interested in, please fill out an application for each dog. This does not include bonded pairs, one application will be fine. We have different adoption coordinators working with different dogs, and your application may be missed if you only apply once. Find more adoptable pets, news and information on Instagram @friendswithfourpaws or our Facebook page Friends with Four Paws . We put a lot of time and energy into processing our adoptions to find our babies the best fit home for them and you. Please do not submit an application if you are not serious about adopting. We are so excited to work with you to find you a new forever friend, and the perfect forever home for our dogs. We appreciate you working with us. Our adoption fees cover spay/neuter surgery, full (age appropriate) vaccinations, microchip insertion and registration, deworming, heartworm testing and prevention, flea and tick prevention and travel expenses. All of our dogs are rescued from local shelters and the general public. Each dog is then placed in a foster home where he/she is kept for quarantine, to ensure if the dog gets sick it can receive proper treatment. We have foster homes in the NJ/NY area waiting to receive their fosters. Once an animal has received an application or there's an adopter interested, we make arrangements for transport. If a dog is already in foster care in NYC/NJ, an adopter will be put in touch with the foster home AFTER an application is being processed. Thank you in advance for your patience with our process and for making adoption YOUR option!

Story
Ladybug has had a really rough life - she lost her eye to an accident and now her family cannot take care of her like she needs. When she was rescued, Ladybug was battling a raging skin infection from allergies and fleas. She is now on the mend and is slowly getting her hair back. Ladybug is an almost 2 year old spayed Pug weighing 10-15 lb. She is up to date on vaccines and heartworm prevention. Ladybug was completely trained on pee-pads but is slowly getting better at going potty outside. She does pull when walking but thankfully she is a little petite baby. She gets along great with other dogs and people and she's the biggest wiggle worm! She does love to rule the roost on a couch or recliner if allowed. If you would like to give Ladybug the loving home she deserves after all she's been through, please fill out an application at www.northstarpets.org and be sure to ask for LADYBUG THE PUG TX! Her adoption fee is $425.December 7, 2024, 3:00 pm

Story
TIKKI - 2 years, 18lbs, Puggle, Spayed  This dog is eligible to join our foster-to-adopt program. Please email fostertoadopt@socialteesnyc.org with the animal’s name in the subject line if you are interested! Want to straight up adopt? Submit an adoption application at socialteesnyc.org. Thier Foster Parent Says: "Meet Tiki! This sweet girl is finding her confidence on the bustling streets of New York. Tiki is a high-jumping fetch enthusiast who is adjusting to city life well so far. Tiki is fully potty trained, crate trained, and a super fast learner who wants a hello from everyone she meets on the street. Tiki loves giving kisses and is always ready for a snuggle. She’s great with cats and dogs. Tiki would benefit from basic training and structure, but her eagerness to learn will make it a rewarding journey. Whomever adopts this sweet angel will be so lucky as Tiki is ready to find a forever home where she can continue to blossom and bring endless love and joy!" BEGINNER: This means we predict this dog will be low on the challenge scale due to its breed/age combo. Potentially a good fit for someone who has relevant dog care experience (fostering, dog sitting) and is looking to adopt their first pup. MEDIUM: Needs a daily 60-90 minute walk or window of quick paced exercise (minimum) in addition to potty break strolls (10-30 min each). Also needs significant socializing opportunities outside the home and mental stimulation at home like tricks training practice, chew items, and puzzle toys. (This is regardless of dog size – many small breeds were designed for lots of activity and will exhibit unwanted behavior when they’re understimulated.)  Cuddle Bug LevelHigh -- Wants to be in your lap pretty much all the time Potty TrainedYes -- Few or no accidents Comfy with strangers?Yep -- Wants to be friends with everyone who walks by, super social butterfly, loves anyone who will stop to say hello. Comfortable with Children? (ALWAYS requires supervision)Yes for 12 and up -- may be a little energetic or a little skittish, best with older children that can be extra gentle or that are big enough not to get accidentally knocked down Social with Other Dogs?Yes -- Good with all other dogs (sizes, breeds, etc.) as far as we know and enjoys socializing with other caninesRespectful of Other Animals? (cats, small pets, etc.)Yes -- okay to live in a home with a cat. One of her foster parents had a cat in the home :)  Mouth Behaviour Low – Little to no interest in chewing on stuff or putting things in its mouth that aren’t food. Doesn’t try to chew on hands, feet, etc. during playtime, doesn’t wreck your stuff -- only chews on appropriate things like dog toys and bones. Leash Manners?Getting the Hang of it – Probably hasn’t been on a leash much in its life but he/she is figuring it out. Might be a mild puller but responds to correction. Okay in the city?Yes -- Seems unfazed by the sights and sounds, they may as well have been born here.Jumping on People to Say Hi?High – Very excited to greet everyone and has no idea how to do so politely. Jumps up on most strangers or other dogs that go by. In puppy phase or wasn’t trained as a young adult. Separation Anxiety?Low – Completely fine being left home alone. Doesn’t cry or do anything shitty when you leave the apartment or house. Crate training?Yep/mostly – Seems comfortable in the crate, may whine a little at first but settles pretty quickly. We use the crate when we leave the pup alone and/or at night. Medical statusHealthy as far as we know. Up to date on their DHPP, Bordetella, and Rabies vaccines; heartworm negative; spayed/neutered; microchipped; treated with dewormer upon intake  How this dog ended up with Social Tees:Most of our dogs come via partner groups who help us save them from shelters where they are at risk of euthanasia in Tennessee or St. Thomas. There are very few spay/neuter resources there and many more animals in those areas than there are people to adopt them. Rescue groups like ours bring them to the northeast where the desire for pets like these allows us to save their lives.  PLEASE NOTE: We cannot guarantee any breed mix, exact age, or full grown size (if the dog is under a year old). We do our best with very educated guesses though!  This animal is not at the Social Tees office, all are in foster homes.
