Meet Ringo, a 1-year-old English Bulldog/Pug mix weighing about 45lbs. Ringo has had a rough start and is looking for a patient, dedicated home to help him blossom. He is dog friendly and very curious about other dogs, we think it would be very beneficial to have a friendly, confident dog in the home. Ringo can jump or climb any barrier or fence. He cannot be off leash outside at all as he will escape and run away. Ringo is quite nervous and will need a couple meet and greets to get comfortable. Once he is comfortable, he thinks he is a lap dog and will jump onto staff or into their laps. His ideal home would be without kids and in a quieter environment, away from a lot of traffic.If interested in Ringo, please understand he will be foster-to-adopt as he will need time to decompress. We also have a behaviorist we utilize to help with the transition and adjustment.

While she is registered as a Pug, based on her size and the length of her muzzle, we suspect she may actually be a Puggle mix (which would include some Beagle). Either way, what matters most is her wonderful personality — and this girl truly has the best of both worlds. With her age comes a lovely balance of energy and calm. Cocoa Belle is the perfect mix of playful and relaxed, happy to enjoy some fun and attention but just as content to settle in and relax with her people. She has been around kids her entire life and understands how to respect their space without jumping up, making her an easy addition to a family home. She does great with cats, kids, and other dogs, and her adaptable personality means she could thrive with an active family or a quieter, homebody-style household. If your days are busy, Cocoa Belle will be perfectly fine holding down the fort while you’re out, then happily making the most of playtime and family time once everyone is home. Now that her mothering days are behind her, Cocoa Belle is ready to sign her forever contract and simply enjoy being loved. We look forward to your response in regards for this delightful gentleman, but when you do, please use our application at sparrowdogs.com, or tell us a bit about yourself please. Meet Otto, he is perhaps a Pugchi, part Pug and part Chihuahua. We think the Pug genes gave him his love for the sedentary life, appetite and some girth. His Chihuahua side of the family tossed in a little bit of spice into that mix and gave him just a dash of attitude. He is a man of leisure. He enjoys a fine meal and a soft bed. He prefers his blankets swirled around his portly frame. Occasionally his face will poke out, just for a sniff, perhaps there is a snack headed his way?? Or...one of the other foster dogs might need his stern guidance if things are getting a little willy nilly. He does not suffer fools lightly.(lol) Well, with that said, that is the reputation Otto tries to uphold. He wouldn't want anyone to know that he really has a fun side, ya know! He can be a little cantankerous on occasion, but all that amounts to is a few grumbles. He wouldn't want to admit it, but he has had a lot of fun running around with the playful dogs in the yard. Even at 8-9 years old, he can be a spunky guy. Otto enjoys spending his time relaxing on a soft bed. He is looking for a more laid back home, and one that will understand that he may need a little time to get to know you. He will do well in a a dog savvy home that understands that it takes time to develop some relationships, and those can be the best ones!! He can be fine with kids, but we think perhaps teens, no little guys. Otto is fine with women, but really prefers men, he would like a buddy to hang around with. Salty is a sweet, compact little guy with a big heart and an even bigger love for people. Around 2 years old and about 20 pounds, Salty came into animal control with his buddy Riff Raff, and the two have been thriving in foster care ever since. We believe Salty may be a French Bulldog/Pug mix - he’s playful, social, and happiest when he’s close to his humans. He enjoys romping around with other dogs, soaking up attention, and being part of whatever you’re doing. Salty is currently undergoing heartworm treatment, fully covered by Dogs 4 U Rescue through our vet partner in Naperville. Because of this, adopters must be local to ensure he can complete his treatment schedule. Salty can be adopted with Riff Raff or separately - either way, he’s ready to bring joy, snuggles, and nonstop companionship to a forever home. -Local adopters only during treatment

Around 2 years old and about 20 pounds, Riff Raff arrived at animal control with his best pal Salty, and they’ve been an adorable pair ever since. Thought to be a French Bulldog/Pug mix, Riff Raff has the perfect combo of goofy charm and loyal sweetness. He loves other dogs, adores people, and thrives when he can be close to his person - whether that’s on the couch or following you from room to room. Riff Raff is currently being treated for heartworm, with all medical care provided by the rescue through our Naperville vet. To stay on track with treatment, adopters must be local until he is fully cleared. Riff Raff can go home with Salty or on his own — but either way, he’s going to make someone an incredibly lucky best friend. -Local adopters only during treatment
