Story
Copper is a 7-year-old chihuahua/pug mix with a gentle soul and a heart full of love. Recently surrendered, he came to us in rough shape, suffering from severely overgrown nails – one of which had painfully curled into his paw pad and caused an infection. Despite the discomfort and neglect he’s endured, Copper remains incredibly sweet, affectionate, and trusting. He’s now receiving the care he needs and is ready to begin a new chapter with someone who will cherish him and keep him safe. Copper is looking for a calm, loving home where he can heal, be spoiled, and enjoy the comfort every dog deserves.

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Meet Gus – Your New Best Friend!  Gus is a lovable Pug mix with a heart as sweet as they come. Through no fault of his own, he found himself owner surrendered to a shelter, but he's ready to leave that chapter behind and find the forever family he deserves. Gus can be unsure of meeting new people at first, and may be a little shy and territorial. Once he knows you, he will be your best friend for life. He will welcome you with kisses, happy jumps, lots of tail wags.  When Gus was owner surrendered, we were told that he is potty trained and does know how to use a bell to alert when needing to use the bathroom. He is also not much of a barker, gets along great with dogs, rides well in a car, and walks well on leash.  Gus is neutered, 4DX negative, microchipped, current on all vaccinations, and protected with ProHeart 12 and Bravecto.  His adoption fee is $400. To apply to adopt Gus, visit www.adoggie4you.org. Gus is currently located in Texas but can be transported to Washington, Portland (Oregon), Minneapolis, Milwaukee, Chicago, Des Moines, Omaha, Cincinnati, Lexington (Kentucky), and locations along the East Coast for an additional $250 transport fee. Please note that transport is not available to Rhode Island or Massachusetts due to state regulations.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.August 21, 2026, 4:09 pm

Story
Lily the Chug Are you looking for a small bundle of energy full of love, antics, & sass to liven up your home? Then look no farther than Lily the chug (3/4 pug, 1/4 chihuahua with a whole lotta chi attitude)! This long legged, grumpy faced little minx has adorable ears that either stand up at attention or rest crossed atop her head. Her overbite, often with her lip stuck on her teefers gives her adorable expressions. Lily has no enemies, loving to play-play-play with dogs & people of all ages & sizes. At her foster mom’s house, she cavorts with a 90# Great Pyrenees as much as she does with a pair of pugs. She’d also like to play with the cats, but she is too hyper for them & gets swatted. Lily does calm down to cuddle & actively seeks attention. Lily was a neglected outdoor pup until her surrender to God’s Dogs Rescue, so is still working on her housebreaking. She almost has it down pat with use of a doggy door. You will never experience a dull moment with this petite cutie in your life! Attributes: Housebreaking in progress. Good with doggie door HIGH energy Local adoption fee is $350(in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $650 (includes transport to your area)

Story
Pal's Place has three of the sweetest, cutest, and lovable little nuggets in town, all looking for loving forever families. These precious lovebugs were rescued from an overburdened animal control facility in rural Kentucky and are now in a loving foster home in Chicago, waiting to meet their forever families. Their mother is a purebred Boston Terrier; their father is unknown, but the family that surrendered the puppies mentioned a neighbor's Beagle/Hound mix or their Cattledog mix was the suspected father. The puppies are approaching 6 months of age and weigh in at 30 pounds. Given their current age and size, we expect a mature weight of roughly 40 pounds of love and sweetness neatly packaged within an adorable, short, solid, stocky build. Swiss, Cheddar (Adopted!), and Colby are curious, energetic, social, and happy, making great companions for active families who have the time, patience, and energy to keep up with these young whippersnappers. Swiss and Colby are making good progress with crate training and housebreaking, but are still young pups learning the ropes. Potential adopters should be prepared to continue their training and provide the guidance and structure all young dogs need to develop into the best canine citizens they can be as adults. Puppies are undoubtedly adorable and fun, but require a great deal of time and attention during their first several months. Please remember that dogs this age need frequent potty breaks (every 4-5 hours or so) and lots of playtime, engagement, and mental stimulation throughout the day, so please consider if you truly have the time for a puppy before applying. *Colby and Swiss are fostered in Chicago, and meet-and-greets are by appointment only after an adoption application has been received and approved. The adoption fee per dog is $475. Pal's Place is 100% reliant on donations and adoption fees to care for our rescued dogs. This fee helps cover their medical and general care expenses while they await adoption. They are neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, and started on monthly flea and heartworm preventatives. *For more information or to apply, please email palsplace1@hotmail.com or visit our website at palsplacerescue.org. Correspondence from the rescue may end up in spam or junk folders. Please check these folders regularly if waiting for a response. *All of our dogs reside in foster homes, and meetings are arranged by appointment only after our adoption application has been completed and approved. For more information or to apply, please email palsplace1@hotmail.com or visit our website at palsplacerescue.org. *Unfortunately, we cannot place holds on our dogs for more than three days after an application has been approved, and we have reached out to schedule a meeting. Please do not apply to adopt unless you are ready to welcome a dog into your home within three days of applying. *ADOPTION APPLICATIONS AND CORRESPONDENCE FROM THE RESCUE MAY END UP IN YOUR SPAM OR JUNK FOLDER. Story
Hi, my name is Lucy. I am the sweetest, 50 lb. most gentle little girl who is looking for a place to call home. Unfortunately my eyes werent always able to receive the best care and as a result of long term dry eye and infections I am fully blind in both eyes. But don't worry because my hearing is excellent and I'll know exactly where you are and follow you everywhere. My foster mom says I have superpower hearing. Ive been learning the layout of my new foster home quickly and after just a few weeks I already know where Im going and feel safe. I maneuver around my foster home well which includes maneuvering steps to get out to a big back yard where I love to just sit in the grass, taking in all the new sounds and doing my business as well. My foster mom has taught me verbal commands for steps and other things and Im a quick learner. I'm a little bit scared, hesitant and sometimes bark at the neighbor dogs who bark and run at their fence in my backyard and also around some dogs when I first meet them but my foster mom thinks it's just a defense mechanism due to my blindness. But with trust building everyday, I hope to overcome that. I get along great with my foster family's adult children and get very excited when they come over. I recently attended a dog rescue street festival and did ok for a little while and even met a nice female bulldog who I sniffed for a bit but the city, people, cars and everything was a little overwhelming for me. Plus it was really hot that day. I think I prefer hanging in a place where I know the lay of the land and guests come to see me. Pets from new humans are always welcome. Although I don't have accidents in the house I often pee on my blanket in my crate at night. I spent a lot of my life in my crate so I am still getting settled into this new routine. Plus soft things are just so nice to snuggle up with. My foster family and I are working on it. I love my crate and find it to be my safe place. I'm a huge napper and don't mind snuggling in there on and off during the day as well as its my preferred overnight sleeping spot. I sleep in my foster family's bedroom in my little crate. I hope snoring won't bother you, but it just happens when I sleep. Once I go to sleep I'm tucked in for the night until you tell me its time to rise and shine. A little more about me. Im a pretty small girl, with paws like a little bear paw. I let you groom me, poke at me or whatever. I'm pretty chill. Same thing at the vet - I know they are trying to help so I kind of just let them do their thing. My fur has been getting softer since coming into rescue. My foster mom gives me these nice baths and makes sure Im clean. My perfect home would be a quiet house, maybe as an only dog, older kids and a yard would be a great bonus. All I really want is to give love, kisses, paws and just need to know that you're close by in case I need a hand navigating something big. Ill get the hang of it but just need a little support. Im also fine being left to snooze while you go out. Ill pay you back with all the love in the world. Lets get together for a meet and greet. Id love to talk about coming to your house. Im heading for a nap now. Love, Lucy. Please visit our website www.ebullymatch.com to learn more about this amazing pet and to see other available dogs.
