ALL SKYE WANTS FOR CHRISTMAS IS A FAMILY 💔🐾🎄 Skye has been waiting sonce October 2023 for a second chance…. Shes been waiting patiently this whole time for a forever home. This special girl needs to get out of the kennels. She’s been here WAY too long. Skye was abandoned by her owners in our parking lot as a very emaciated scared girl. Thats ok though we made sure to shower her with love and got her feeling MUCH better!!! Skye is a very good girl and tested well with other dogs! Unfortunately she does resource guard so if adopted out through us she would need to be the only pet in the house. If pulled by a rescue and placed with a foster who had experience with resource guarding, she could potentially live with another dog! This is a story that will tug at your heart. Hi. It’s me. Ava. Yes, I have the little squishy pug face. Yes, I am a middle aged lady. Yes, I am soft in every possible way. They found me wandering around Calumet City. Just out there. Alone. I am a tiny girl and the world is big. Bigger when you cannot see it very well. We think I am blind. Or close to it. Someone who does not mind being my eyes. I will follow your voice. I will lean into your legs. I will curl into you like I have known you forever. I am the kind of dog who bonds deep. Not flashy. Not chaotic. Just loyal. Devoted. Yours. If your home is quiet and your heart is open, I think we might fit together perfectly. Update - 03/19/2026:She is an attention seeker. She hears a voice and she jumps up to find you. LOVES FOOD. she does not like it if you take too long to get her bowl ready. She has started doing a low grumbling bark when she thinks your taking to long. Loves to cuddle and be close to her people. Can this girl get any cuter?We can't imagine what she went through when she faced uncertainty and is blind. Our hearts broke. We had to keep her safe and give her a chance at finding a loving home.
