Story
Meet Jojo! He is 30-pounds of energetic happiness! When he is excited, he hops and gallops around like he is the happiest boy ever! We just know he is going to be the most fun dog ever in a home once he settles. He isn't necessarily a pup who loves to play fetch and chase toys, but as long as he has a person to play with and entertain, he's good to go! Since Jojo can get excited, we think he'd do best with an adopter who wants to be able to play but then is also able to help him relax and calm down; maybe with some enrichment puzzles! In his previous home, he did well with being house-trained and crate-trained, too! He knows how to sit, come, stay, and lay down! We are working with him on polite leash-walking! Since he is so intelligent, we know he can learn quite quickly! We're also teaching him to take treats gently and how to share. If you are considering adopting Jojo, we ask that you continue to work on helping him feel comfortable with people being around his food (in a structured manner in order to set him up for success!). Jojo is such a fast learner, though. Just a quick teaching session and he catches on. Be a leader that he can follow and we see lots of success for him! Jojo has been doing great in his dog playgroups. He also has lived with a cat before and was a good furbrother to her. We think he'd be the coolest furbrother to teenagers and older. Going for walks, car rides, and running are a few things he loves to do. A quiet home with interactive activity is what he is looking for, if that makes sense! A little bit of both worlds is what we think would be best for him. He is about four years old and is neutered and he recently had a dental done!

Hi! I'm Bean Bag! I'm a lovable chunker with a heart of gold. I have a silly personality and a smile that will keep you laughing. I love to be with my people and I get along with other dogs too. I am at that age where the puppy energy is gone and it's time to enjoy the finer things in life! Like sunbathing and trotting around a nice yard. If you think that you could be the only to scoop me up and love me forever apply to be my foster or adopter. I'm in TN but I can be transported to my perfect people! I cant wait to meet you.

Story
Welcome Dozer! He came to us as a breeder surrender. He is said to be approximately 5 years old and weighs approx 20 lbs. He is a sweet boy who got his name because he is like a bulldozer - happy and friendly, but no problems with running into anything in his path. He is good with other dogs, but would recommend dogs that would be ok with his bull-in-a-china-shop personality. He does have an issue with his left eye, which we are getting evaluated by our vet. Dozer's adoption donation of $450 helps cover the cost of his medical care. Application, reference checks, and home visit required. Adopters must live 1.5 hours driving distance from Romeoville, IL. For more information on adopting, please email us at info@perfectpooches.org. If you are interested in adopting, please complete an adoption application, which can be found on our website at www.perfectpooches.org under the Adoption Process tab. All dogs are spayed/neutered, current on vaccines, heartworm tested (age appropriate), fecal tested and/or dewormed, and microchipped.

Story
Hi, I'm Yzma! I'm a 1-year-old pug lady who is looking for a new home because my owner is no longer able to care for me. My personality is sweet, gentle, and playful. I'm happy to sit on a lap and watch what is going on like a queen on a throne, but I also like to be involved in the action! I'm a girl who loves her toys and is an expert at playing fetch! I'm pretty athletic if I do say so myself. I have a nice high jump for a tiny dog, so push your chairs in or I will be grazing on your kitchen table. What can I say, I'm tiny and I can't see anything from down here! Despite my playful nature, I settle down pretty well and can relax when playtime is done. I like the company of other friendly dogs and am very good at sharing my toys and sitting nicely for treats while my friends are served. With my calm demeanor, I do well with people of all ages and would make an amazing addition to most homes. Don't miss your chance to be the lucky one who brings me home! Apply to meet me today!

Story
Rudy is a 1.5 year old, 40lb terrier/pug mix looking for his new home! He loves to run around investigating the grounds and rolling around in the grass. He has great form with summersaults too. Rudy is a nervous dog who will need a less busy home with plenty of patience. Ideally, he would do best with someone with experience with nervous dogs. He needs consistency and routines so he can comfortably expect what is coming.
