Name: NellieBreed: Rat Terrier MixDOB: 1/2/23Good with kids: YESGood with dogs: YESGood with cats: YESFoster location: Hampshire, ILAdoption fee: $325Fun Bio: Poor Willie and Nellie were found after being dumped and abandoned in someone's yard.....on Christmas Day! What the heck?! We aren't sure if they are related (maybe father daughter? Grandfather?) but Willie is very attached to Nellie. Both Willie and Nellie are great dogs who, despite being abandoned, love life and being around people. They will entertain you for hours! Nellie is just about a year old ready to find a home that will love her Willie forever where they'll never be abandoned again. Can it be with you? If interested in a pet from us please fill out the adoption application that is located on our website.  We process applications in the order in which they are received.  We will likely not respond to interest emails regarding puppies and/or kittens, we get so many "interest" emails that we simply do not have the time to respond to each one.  We always recommend crate training, positive reinforcement training, exercise, playtime, and a regular schedule for potty breaks when bringing a new dog/puppy into your home. Adjustment takes time for both you and your new family member, so remember to be patient and enjoy this new and exciting time!Included in the adoption fee are age appropriate vaccinations, heartworm testing, deworming, spay or neuter surgery, and microchip. ##1914509##

Story
Looking for a companion for walking, hiking, camping, RVing, hunting, farming, or anything outdoors? This is your dog! Bea is a beautiful 3- to 5-year-old with many of the characteristics typical of a Decker rat terrier, not least of which is her size--30 lbs. Before coming to New Rescue, Bea showed up at a Missouri country home, where she quickly befriended the resident Lab puppy and demonstrated what a nature girl she is. She enjoyed roaming the five wooded acres and tracking and chasing critters!   Now in her foster home, Bea has had a chance to show off more of her awesome qualities. She is sweet, gentle, polite, quiet, and smart. She already understands some commands and will easily learn more! She walks nicely on a leash and looks forward to daily walks. She's also house-trained and lets you know when she needs to go out to potty. For those of you who work from home, Bea is the perfect coworker, quietly napping on her dog bed in the office during the workday. She's working on how to meet and greet other dogs with trips to the local dog park.    Bea is looking for a family that loves the outdoors as much as she does. A wide-open country space to explore or a large fenced property would be great. Otherwise regular, substantial (she can go for hours) leashed walks are a must. A home where Bea can relax and be her happy, playful self would bring out the best in this nature gal. See more Bea in her online album at https://imageevent.com/newrattitude/bea . Our adoption fee is $200 for adult dogs or $250 for puppies under 6 months old. If you are interested in adopting this dog, PLEASE READ THE DETAILED ADOPTION PROCESS information on our website at www. NewRattitude.org/adopt/  From there, you can access our adoption application or contact our Adoption Team for more info. April 25, 2024, 1:00 pm

FAST FACTS:*6 Years Old - 14 Pounds*Snuggly and Affectionate*Loves Blankets, Cuddles, and Enjoys Car Rides*Low/Medium Energy*People Friendly*Only Pet*Mostly Potty Trained*Crate TrainedBIO:Hi there! My name is Sunlee, and I want to bring my happy, affectionate sunshine personality to your life! I am a snuggly little lap dog who is happiest when I can curl up with you under a warm blanket for movie nights and tv show binge marathons. My favorite activities include going for car rides and being carried around like a baby so I can sneak in an extra hug or two. I am very friendly with people, but because I like all your attention focused on cuddling with me I think I would do best as your only pet. I have good manners in the house and am potty and crate trained; I know to do my business outside, but if I have to hold it for very long hours I might have to use a potty pad. I have pretty good leash manners, too, though I prefer short walks and will lead you back towards home when I decide exercise time is done haha! If you love that lounging lifestyle and are looking for a best furry friend to relax by your side, I am the girl for you! I hope you fill out an adoption application, because I would like to get comfortable on your couch and catch up on my stories soon!If you'd like to adopt this dog, please get started by filling out a complete application (incomplete submissions cannot be sent.) Please note that while we take time to learn as much as we can about each dog in our care as possible, our bios are written from current observations. Though we do our best to share as much information as possible about each dog we care for, we are unable to make any guarantees on the future health or temperament of your adopted dog. Most dogs in our care come with unknown pre-rescue history, and information pertaining to breed and age are often educated guesses.

Story
Tula is a wonderful companion who thrives on genuine connection and love. Tula has a lot of love to give and specific needs that make her an ideal companion for the right home. Her comfort with other dogs and her preference for a quieter, adult-only environment are key considerations for anyone looking to adopt her. Her playfulness and intelligence would certainly shine in a home that can provide regular mental stimulation and physical activity, such as teaching her new tricks and enjoying outdoor adventures. For Tula, potential adopters should be prepared to provide a nurturing, attentive setting where she can form strong bonds. Given her discomfort around children, a calm, stable home with one or two adults would likely be ideal. Also, the presence of another playful dog could be a great source of companionship and help her adjust to her new environment more smoothly. It's important to find the right environment for her where she can feel comfortable and happy. Fill out an adoption application to schedule your own private meet and greet with this furry friend.
