Meet Lake! Lake is a 5 year old, 12 pound, Rat Terrier/Chihuahua mix. Lake came to TNT from a hoarding situation, so he is still decompressing and getting accustomed to life in a home as a family dog! He does well with other dogs, but he's still nervous about new people. His foster family is helping him along the way, including starting to work on training. Slow and steady wins the race! He is looking for a forever home with a family that will be patient as he learns how to feel comfortable with them. He would love to have a confident resident dog who can show him the ropes! He's already started to show us that he wants love - he approaches his foster family for pets and paws gently for more. We are sure that with more guidance and love, he will understand that his life has really just begun! Let us know if your home could be a good fit for Lake! Lake's adoption fee is $400

Story
Jack was born in rescue after his mother was surrendered when owner passed away. He and his sister were the only surviving pups. The mother rejected them at 2 weeks, and they were bottle fed until able to eat puppy food. Jack is a good and smart little boy. He has mastered pee pad training and will start learning house training very soon. We do not allow puppies to touch ground until they have received multiple distemper parvo vaccinations. His siter is with a foster to adopt and now it's Jack's turn to find his family. Look into those eyes and tell me he isn't the most handsome little guy. He is fostered in East TN, but transportation is included in the adoption fee and provided by Rescue Riders LLC. Lucy was surrendered from her family because hospice came and the family could no longer care for her. Lucy is a very affectionate little girl that loves to snuggle under the covers with you at night. She loves to walk on a leash and go for car rides. During her vetting, she was found to be heartworm positive. She has completed all vetting and had her heartworm treatment. She is looking for a family to call her own. She does have an underbite, but otherwise very healthy now. Will you be that family to give her a new life in the new year? She is fostered in East TN, but transportation is included in the adoption fee and provided by Rescue Riders LLC. Please let me know if you have any questions. I don’t mean to brag… okay, maybe I do a little. Kylie is the true definition of why they call dogs a man’s best friend. Everytime she sees a human she greets them with kisses and wags her tail so hard her butt wiggles. She truly desires the simple things in life. An owner and nice couch to cuddle on. Her foster family says although she’s a princess, she is very low maintenance and would be perfect for someone who wants a dog to cuddle them at night and stay out of trouble during the day. She is even trusted around their basement alone! She is awesome in her crate and is good about know where she is supposed to go potty. Story
Brandy is a 1-year-old rat terrier mix who is house-trained, great with other dogs, and friendly with people. She’s energetic and playful, but may not be ideal for homes with small children due to her tendency to nip during play. Brandy is very vocal, especially when she's excited about dinner or playtime -- she sounds like a little "demon" but in the best way! At night, she sleeps in our bed, though she’ll happily move to a dog bed if she’s had enough. In the mornings, she’ll greet you with kisses or a wagging tail to help wake you up, making sure your day is off to a great start. Brandy loves walks, though she can be a bit unruly for the first few minutes. Once she settles, she walks well but tends to be reactive to other dogs, so a harness is recommended to prevent injury to her neck. Brandy is healthy, though she does have bilateral luxating patella, a condition she was likely born with. The vet suggests keeping her under 16 lbs. to manage it. Her ideal home would be active, possibly with another dog her size who enjoys playing. Brandy is smart and would benefit from formal training. Snap is a bundle of energy…until he’s not. He pretty quickly transforms into a lapdog cuddle-bug. He is a 2 year old Rat Terrier & has a lot of puppy in him & he has a big desire for you to tell him he is a good boy. He is a dog for the people, less so for dogs. Don’t get me wrong, he is friendly with most dogs, but he is a bully to others. To be specific, he turns into a ninja who talks a lot of crap he can’t back up when big…really big dogs are around. He has gotten more tolerant to being the smallest dog in the room and generally, pays more attention to me than he does any of the dogs. Snap is the kind of dog that will, with enthusiasm ,ride along with you in the car, follow your every step outside, and then come inside and curl up on the couch to watch a Lifetime movie. He’s down for any adventure but he will sleep in as long as you do.FOCCAS is a foster based, non-profit rescue in Crossville, TN. The adoption fee Includes Age-Appropriate Vaccinations (DA2PPV, Bordetella, Rabies), Deworming, Spay/Neuter, Microchip, Flea/Tick/Heartworm Prevention, and Sheltering.
