Story
Wakanda came from a local hoarding situation. Due to this they do require a fenced yard as well as another dog in the home.  Wakanda is one of the pups rescued from the Wauconda hoarding case and is just beginning to discover how good life can be. Wakanda tends to warm up more quickly to women and is still learning to trust men. He’s working with a trainer to help build confidence and ease his protective streak. While he’s still figuring things out, his sweet side is shining through more each day. He loves spending time outside, so a securely fenced yard is a must for this curious explorer. He’d do best in a quiet home with older kids who understand that trust takes time. With patience, love, and continued training, Wakanda is sure to blossom into a loyal and loving companion.    Stop by our weekly adoption events on Saturdays from 12-4 pm at 372 Townline Road in Mundelein, IL 60060 to meet our adoptable animals in person. Follow us on Facebook for additional updates and sneak peeks of new dogs!  https://www.facebook.com/reachrescue ##2460452##

Story
Bruce Springsteen is currently in a foster home. If you would like to meet him, please start by visiting www.sccrescue.org and completing an application.Bruce Springsteen didn’t earn his name by accident—this fella lives like he’s headlining a sold-out arena every single day. Long-legged and lean, he’s got that unmistakable rockstar silhouette, often spotted mid–“encore nap” with his legs kicked up in the air or poking out from under a blanket like he just dove offstage and disappeared into the crowd. He’s got a quirky sense of humor, a laid-back stage presence, and the kind of cool confidence that comes from knowing he’s already stolen the show.Behind the swagger, Bruce is the ultimate professional. Thought to be around 9-years old, he’s fully house trained, doesn’t need a crate, and can handle solo time like a seasoned touring artist between gigs—no drama, no destruction, just smooth sailing. He rarely barks, preferring to keep things low-key unless there’s a good reason to make noise. And when it comes to fans? He’s easy to handle, totally scoopable, and always ready for a little attention from his inner circle.Of course, every rock legend has a weakness—and for Bruce, it’s treats. He’ll gladly be the best boy in the world if there’s a tasty reward involved, working the room with charm and good behavior to earn every bite. He’s intrigued by other dogs, especially ones his size or smaller, and would likely enjoy a chill bandmate or two. While he’s more “late-night lounge act” than “kid-friendly matinee,” in the right home, Bruce Springsteen is ready to bring loyalty, laughs, and a whole lot of rock & roll heart to his forever stage.Interested in adopting this dog? Story
Senior lady Molleigh has been part of the New Rattitude family for many years, and her story is one of love, change, and quiet strength. She first came to the rescue in 2020 with her daughter when their family made the difficult decision to surrender them. Both girls found loving homes, and at age 11, Molleigh settled into a wonderful life with two devoted parents, a spacious home filled with sunlight, and plenty of windows for critter-watching—plus uninterrupted snuggle time. Five years later, through no fault of her own, Molleigh finds herself looking for a home. Her adopters, now facing age- and health-related challenges, could no longer provide the care she needs. Now 16 years-old, Molleigh is once again in foster care—comfortingly, with the same foster family who lovingly cared for her back in 2020. Molleigh is a 19 lb. lady who enjoys the simple pleasures in life: long naps in a cozy dog bed, leisurely walks, and tasty treats. She’s a gentle soul who does well with cats and calm dogs. While she spent much of her life around a child, at this stage she would be happiest in a peaceful home without active young children. Stairs are hard for Molleigh, and since she doesn’t like being carried, a single-level home is important for her comfort and safety. She was house-trained in the past, but now uses potty pads—either because she’s forgotten or simply can’t hold it as well as she once did. After so much transition, Molleigh deserves a quiet, loving home where she can relax, feel secure, and be cherished for the rest of her life. If you have room in your heart and home for a gentle senior who asks for very little, Molleigh would love to meet you. For more photos of Molleigh, visit her online photo album at https://imageevent.com/newrattitude/molleigh   If you are interested in adopting this dog, PLEASE READ THE DETAILED ADOPTION PROCESS information on our website at www. NewRattitude.org/adopt/  From there, you can access our adoption application or contact our Adoption Team for more info.March 9, 2026, 11:01 pm

Story
Meet Raptor, the puppy who likes to pretend he’s the cool, calm, collected member of the group… until you get him one-on-one. Around the other puppies, Raptor acts like the laid-back observer. But the moment he has you to himself? Surprise! The chill guy disappears and the attention-loving goofball comes out. If you stop petting him, he will absolutely let you know about it. Raptor believes attention should be continuous and uninterrupted. His favorite hobby is shoe sabotage. Raptor specializes in sneaking up while you're standing there minding your business and carefully untying your shoelaces. It’s a very important job and he takes it seriously. Raptor gets along well with his siblings and lives with four adult dogs and four cats. The dogs are cool with him, and he would very much like to be friends with the cats… but the cats have not yet approved his application. If you're looking for a puppy who is equal parts chill, silly, affectionate, and mildly mischievous, Raptor is ready to keep you entertained. Local adoption fee is $250(in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $550 (includes transport to your area)
