Story
Eddie just can’t seem to catch anyone’s eye or heart. He’s a precious boy, estimated to be 10 years old, weighing about 20 lbs. But for Eddie, age is just a number!! He’s an active, fast-moving, but cuddly guy. He is looking for a family who will play with him, play ball, and make sure his toy box is overflowing with toys of all kinds. Once he’s finished playing, he will want to cuddle under the covers with his person! Eddie absolutely needs another dog or even two, in his family. He’s more of a follower than a leader! He gets along with dogs of all sizes and loves to out-sprint everyone, racing around the secure, fenced yard of his foster home. Older kids (12++) may be ok but he’s too energetic for younger ones. Eddie is housebroken; he does not need to be crated when left home alone. When his person is home, he absolutely loves to be nearby!! Eddie is in overall good health, up to date on vaccinations, neutered, microchipped and heartworm negative/on year-round heartworm prevention. If you are interested in adding this precious pup to your family, please contact BAARKDogRescue@gmail.com or 847-852-0895. Please note that BAARK is located in Barrington IL, and adopts only local to our area.

Meet Your New Best Friend! Hello there! I'm a playful pup who loves car rides and snuggling up in my foster mom's purse. I adore playing with toys and get along wonderfully with other dogs. Right now, I'm staying in a warm and safe foster home in Buffalo Grove, IL. My foster mom is taking great care of me until I find my forever family. Please note, I'm still learning the ropes of potty training, just like a little baby! I'm looking for a lifetime commitment from loving adopters. If you're interested in adopting me, please apply atthecharlieprojectdogrescue.com. Once approved, you'll pick me up in Buffalo Grove. Important Information Adoption Fee: $800, which includes my microchip, vaccines, deworming, and spay/neuter at our rescue vet. If you prefer your vet to handle the spay/neuter, well reimburse $100 with proof, provided it's done before I'm six months old. An enforceable contract will be signed to ensure this. If you're renting, please have your landlord ready to email us confirming that dogs are allowed in your home. We're eager to find a forever home, but please apply through our website, as we do not respond to emails from Petfinder. Thank you! Story
Hi, I'm Ruthy. A sweet and loving gal, looking for a loving home. When I arrived at Anderson Animal Shelter from their partner shelter in Oklahoma, I tested positive for Heartworm. The staff believes that the best place for Heartworm positive dogs like me to be while going through treatments and recovering is with a loving and forever family like yours. If you choose to adopt me, the clinic staff will be with you every step of the way, answering questions and offering support. The process from detection to the final treatment is generally three months and involves some simple at-home steps to keep me safe while I recover. The last step in the process is a follow-up test six months after my treatment begins. The Heartworm treatment process is highly successful and the staff anticipates that I will fully recover! Yeah! And you should know that Heartworm can only be transmitted from animal to animal by mosquitoes. Stop in and meet my cute self in person during our adoption hours. For more information, email info@ahconnects.org or call us at 847-697-2880 x: 0, and the staff will be happy to help you. I hope to meet you soon! Our dogs and puppies go home spayed/neutered, microchipped, heartworm tested (6 months and over), and up to date on core vaccines, heartworm, flea, and tick preventatives. Their adoption also includes a free-vet exam at one of our participating veterinarians.

Story
My name is Capricorn and I am looking for my fur-ever home. Clicking on my picture is the first step in getting to know me! Potential adopters always ask a lot of questions about me. Here are the most common ones:Q: What is your back story?A: I heard that I used to live in a home with several dogs until my owner died. Luckily the volunteers at Almost Home Foundation saved me so I could have a second chance. I am currently in a foster home with two adult humans and two doggie sisters while I wait to be adopted. I am on the shy side, but with love, patience, and encouragement, I continue to gain confidence.Q: Are you housebroken and crate-trained?A: Yes to both! In fact, I love my crate. It’s my own little den where I feel safe and comfortable. Q: Are you good with dogs, cats, or kids?A: I am dog-friendly. I am timid so children would be too scary for me. It’s okay if they visit once in a while as long as I have a quiet place away from all the activity. I am not sure how I would be with cats.Q: Do you chew furniture, etc.?A: Nope. Not at all. I spend most of my day curled up in my doggie bed under a blanket. I’m so quiet that you hardly know I’m there!Q: Can you be left home alone?A: Yes! Just put me in my crate with a Kong toy and a blanket and I’m a happy camper.Q: Do you need a fenced-in yard?A: Yes. I do not potty on a leash so I will need a secure fenced yard for potty-time. It doesn`t need to be a big yard, just a secure one. Besides, I LOVE running around the backyard and having fun!Q: What is your ideal forever home?A: In terms of a forever home, I need someone with lots of love and patience to help me learn to trust. I am not a social butterfly or cuddle-bug that wants to meet everyone. An overly busy home with lots of people coming-and-going would be overwhelming. Q: Anything else we should know?A: I am up-to-date on shots, micro-chipped, heartworm negative, neutered, and in overall good health. I weigh about 15 pounds. Oh, and I LOVE cheese!Do you have room in your heart and home for me? If so, email dogs@almosthomefoundation.org to get in touch with my foster parents.Adoption fee is $360Email: dogs@almosthomefoundation.orgAlmost Home Foundation`s adoption requirements:(1) Be at least 21 years of age;(2) Have the consent of all adults living in the household;(3) Have approval from the residence o

Story
Tinkerbelle is a sweet, 7+ yr old female that will need a fenced in yard. She came to us a very neglected dog with health issues that we took care of including having mammary tumors removed, a hernia repair and a dental. She does have some special needs as she does suffer from minor focal seizures often lasting only a few seconds which do not require medication, and has 2 discs in her back that are compressed which can cause her occasional discomfort. Besides all of this, she is a great dog! Fully housebroken and crate trained, she is very polite and gentle, would be ok with one other small dog or with an owner that wants a great companion. She is good in the car, is not a barker and ignores cats. We are looking for a special owner who can overlook all of Tinks "quirks" and let her lounge with you on the couch. Please submit an application at pawshs.org and NOT a Petfinder inquiry as they may not be answered due to the volume of these inquiries received. Our adoption fees include the cost of spaying/neutering, vaccinations (including rabies for cats / dogs over 4 months of age), flea prevention, worming, FeLV/FIV testing, heartworm test for dogs over 1 yrs old, and microchipping. The location of our Adoption Center PAWS at 7282 N. Cherryvale Mall Drive . Check out all of our adoptable dogs, cats and kittens on our website at www.pawshs.org.
