She is an owner surrender to the Program when the prior owner, a Breeder, would not sell her or her littermates. She's a 9 mo. Old puppy, looking for her first family. She weighs 39# at this time. At the Prison Program, she is learning...Has started the following and this will be her first week here Obedience Manners Self-control Husbandry skills Crate skills Socialization with lots of dogs and people Grooming Skills Temperament assessment was excellent. Great with dogs and everyone she has met so far. No resource guarding of toys, food, treats, bedding, crate or her trainer. Because she's not lived with cats or children, we do not have an assessment on them at this time. Daisy Mae's adoption fee is $450 to help cover the medical costs of getting ready for adoption. Never in your wildest dreams will you come across a never-ending bundle of happiness and kindness like Nolan. I am a dog of many nodes of joy. I prefer to be very active, as my energy knows no bounds. Long walks, big yards, non-stop tug of war are the things that I smile most for. Leash walking is no problem for me, but like my hound dog roots I prefer to set the pace and direction. Calm and quiet are my preferred settings so I would do best in a home nuzzled in a quiet neighborhood or on a serene block. A few Nolan "no-no's are other pets or children. I need to be in a house with an experienced owner who can give me their undivided attention. I do have a strong startle reflex so I should not be allowed on the furniture with you. I would like my own bed to the side where I am safe and sound. Take the time to get to know me, be patient with me as we warm up to each other, and I will show you a dog who will never leave your side and who will always be there for you.
