Story
My name is Lacey and I am just a pretty young, 2 year old, 50 pound Rhodesian Ridgeback mix girl that lived the first years of my life on a chain outside in a man’s backyard.  She has  had a few litters of pups and PREFERS to be the only q         queen of the house.  Being chained, many dogs have a defensive attitude of being jumped on and often prefer to be the only pet in the home.  She is very sweet and loving and adores meeting new people and making friends.   She loves men especially and is gentle with children. She is so very calm and easy going around the house.  She is not a fan of the crate because it is new to her.   She was never crated until now.  She doesn’t seem to be destructive at all in the house.   She loves sleeping on the bed at night and will sleep right next to you.  She has been in HEAVEN because she has never had the inside comforts of a home. This smart girl can be taught so many things.  Please consider giving her a comfy and loving home and the life she deserves.  She is ready now!  She is housebroken and loves car rides and can travel to a new home anywhere. If you want a well rounded and easy dog  you really need to pick Lacey!!!   Email Critter Cavalry Rescue and ask for an application to adopt.   Email:  ccrnewengland@gmail.com  She is ready to pack her bags and head fast as lightning to a new dog bed and people who will treat her like a Queen. PLEASE NOTE:   Our dogs and cats are fostered in Tennessee and can transport weekly up to the Northeast region.  Request an application and learn more about Critter Cavalry at https://www.crittercavalry.com/adoption.March 26, 2024, 11:20 pm

For questions about Lucy Lu, please contact jessica.fredericksen@lostdogrescue.org or alicia3joelle@gmail.com Lucy Lu wants nothing more than to be your best friend for life! This 2 year-old girl is sweet and playful. She loves digging up sticks, playing fetch, and having the "zoomies". She promises to always greet you excitedly like you're her favorite person in the world (because you will be!). Expect full body wiggles, tail wags, and lots of kisses. Lucy Lu is also super smart and will gladly show off her tricks for a treat or some words of praise. She has impeccable house manners and is the perfect mix of chill and fun! Lucy Lu would do best in a quiet home with a fenced yard and without cats or small animals (she has a hard time telling the difference between a cat and a squirrel). Lucy Lu loves to play with other dogs and is more confident and comfortable in new situations if she has a doggy friend with her. She would love a dog sibling who likes to play and run as much as she does! Her ideal forever family is patient and understands she needs a bit of time to get used to new things and new people, but that once she does, you are in her heart forever.

Story
1 year old Harley is up for adoption through Pep’s Pals Rescue! She is ready for transport to most states in the PNW, MW, or NE. All details are below! Harley is the oldest “puppy” we’ve ever known! She’s playing puppy catch up, doing all the silly puppy things – playing, running, jumping, getting belly rubs – almost like she’s trying to make up for lost puppy time. Most of all, she wants to be close all the time. Harley is amazing with all dogs. She’s all mush, even getting into a big play-bow position as if to convey to a dominant dog, “yes, you’re the boss. I’m just here to be loved.” She became fast friends with all of the other dogs in her foster home.  When she is finally ready to collapse after all the playing, all she wants to do is snuggle, to be close, to be loved. She likes to lick, but it’s more of a sweet, little kiss to show affection. She’s very kid friendly, but jumps. She has learned how to sit, go to her kennel, move (when she’s in your way while walking), and learning stay/wait. She is fully potty trained and crate trained. She hasn’t shown any signs of resource guarding! She has to be encouraged to go potty as she just loves to play outside so much, lol!   She doesn’t know how big she is. She wants to jump on her smaller dog foster siblings and can play too rough sometimes. With that being said, it would be best if she goes to a home without small animals like cats or small dogs (also due to her high prey drive), kids under 10, or anyone that is a falling risk/unsteady on their feet. She doesn’t have a mean bone in her body, she just doesn’t realize her size!  When she’s in public, all she wants to do is meet everyone and treat everyone like her friend. She reminds her foster parents of Ranger, their Rhodesian who knew everyone loved him. Harley is a Ranger, an honor they don’t bestow lightly. The family that adopts Harley will be blessed. She has amazed us with how easily she adapts to new situations and meeting new people and dogs. She’s curious about everything, with a wonder that is endearing. She’s easy to love and will make you wonder how you managed to live without her at all. Adopters must have a fully fenced yard (at least 6 feet - she will clear anything shorter), an active lifestyle, and another dog for her to play with in the home. Again, no children under the age of 10, small animals, or anyone that is a fall risk in the home.   She is up to date on vaccinations, on monthly heartworm and flea/tick preventatives, microchipped, has had a negative fecal test, heartworm negative, and is spayed. She weighed 63 lbs the last time she went to the vet and has filled out some, so guessing she’s around 70 lbs by now.  DISCLAIMER- Breed type is determined based on general appearance and behavioral characteristics and cannot be guaranteed unless DNA test results or AKC registration were provided at intake, which they were not in Harley’s case. She does have a very pronounced ridge on her back, indicating that she is very much a Ridgeback mix.  FYI: $600 adoption fee includes all vetting, transport, & health certificate costs to the DMV/PA or other states (depends on where she’d be going - it can sometimes cost a bit more). Transport is available to most states in the Pacific Northwest, Midwest, and Northeast. Harley is currently in Texas in a temporary foster home awaiting transport once we find an out of state adopter, and our transporters do runs every 2-4 weeks. We don’t offer the foster-to-adopt option or adoptions within Texas for Harley.  Ready to make Harley a permanent part of your family? Story
Roo-Rhodesian Ridgeback mix female, ~ 18 mo. (Feb. 2024) Please contact rescuebc@hotmail.com for application Roo came to Rescue through a local Trainer. She was surrendered to the Trainer when her family could no longer take care of her. She's a lovely, fun girl. The trainer has evaluated her and given her high marks. She is fairly well housetrained, rings a bell to go out. She's fully crate trained. AS for other dogs, the best home is as a single dog or with other large dogs, preferable male. No small children or small dogs, due to her size and play energy. Her foster mom says she is sweet and has a goofy playfulness about her. She is living with cats and not bothering them, but due to her breeding a home without cats may be the best. She is a strong girl and will enjoy an active lifestyle . She has so much going for her, just needs a new home and new start on life. Her weight is about 45#. Her adoption fee is $350 to help cover the medical costs of getting ready for adoption. For our application, please email rescuebc@hotmail.com
