Adoptable in: MA, RI, NH, CT, and VTGood with dogs: YesGood with cats: YesGood with kids: YesCrate trained: Mostly (May protest at first but then settles and is mostly accident free)House Trained: Mostly (1-2 accidents/week; just needs time and consistency)A beautiful 2-year old Rottweiler with a heart of gold, Willow has truly never met a stranger. Human or animal, large or small, she loves all creatures at first sight!Any home ready for a true companion should work for Willow. She is a social butterfly and wants to be involved in everything; whether it is playing, learning new tricks, or cuddling on the couch, she is all in and by your side! Very dog friendly, she is up for playtime on or off leash. She also does great with children as she seems to understand the need to take it down a notch around little ones. Willow also loves cats.Overall, Willow does well in the crate. She has had some history of vocalizing or trying to escape, but that has improved dramatically as she has gotten more comfortable. She simply wants to be included and with her people at all times. Potty training is almost there. Willow does very well on a schedule, but her alerts are very subtle still. A routine and focus will help her to master this. She also walks great on the leash.Because she is just a big puppy at heart, she does have the tendency to jump up still. It is purely out of love, but it will need to be addressed, especially because of her size. Willow also needs to be watched with chew toys as she tends to shred them and swallow large pieces.Willow is a big ball of love and cannot wait to meet her forever family! Please Note: All dogs currently available for adoption are posted on our website. If you cannot find a particular dog on our website, he/she may be on a temporary foster hold. All dogs are otherwise posted until they are officially adopted. This dog may have other interested adopters in line. If you are interested in adopting, please fill out an application.July 24, 2024, 11:47 am

Story
Shimmer very much fits her name and she shines with the sweetest disposition. Shimmer is an adorable, sweet puppy who loves snuggle time with her person. If she isn’t in your arms, she will settle at your feet or be found snuggled up against another pup. She loves to be with you and also loves playtime with her pup friends of all sizes. She is feeling more and more confident as she learns to trust them. Sadly, a lost person with no light abandoned her and her brother Sparkey in a yard to fend for themselves, and thankfully, someone got them to the shelter safely. She is precious with all and looks to her foster adult dogs for guidance but follows their cues and respects them well. All Shimmer needs is your heart and puppy patience and you will have an amazing forever baby. Apply fast. This beautiful baby won’t last long.Name: ShimmerBreed: Rottweiler/CrossbreedSex: FemaleAge: 10 weeksWeight: 10lbs as of 7/23/24Spayed/Neutered: Too young - Spay/Neuter Contract will be required and strictly enforced.Vaccinations:   Puppy vaccines will be up to date - all vaccinations required after adoption are the responsibility of the adopter.Heartworm: Too young (testing is done at 6 months of age)Housetrained:  Not usuallyMicrochipped: YesLocation of dog currently:  Alabama Puppy Adoption Fee:  $550.00 (includes a spay/neuter surgery rebate of up to $200.00 to be paid to the adopter when proof of spay/neuter is provided to Paws New England). Consider the lifestyle change this puppy will come with. He cannot be crated for more than 3-4 hours at a time until he's older. Puppy-proofing your home will be necessary. Story
Sparkey will no doubt ignite a spark in anyone who meets him with his gorgeous coat, markings, and eyes that look right into your heart. Sadly, a lost person with no light abandoned him and his sister Shimmer in a yard to fend for themselves, and thankfully, someone got them to the shelter safely. So far, he seems like a very laid-back boy who appears to chill even more every day as he learns to trust and feel safeThis handsome boy looks very much like a Rottie, so as we can’t be sure of their mix-they are either very Rottweiler or purebred. So, learning to see more about the size and energy of that breed will help you know if Sparkey may be the pup for you. Sparkey is just learning to navigate his world, but thus far, he is a sweetheart with the best snuggles, precious demeanor, and an old soul energy that is sure to steal your heart!Name: SparkeyBreed: Rottweiler/CrossbreedSex: MaleAge: 10 weeksWeight: 10lbs as of 7/23/24Spayed/Neutered: Too young - Spay/Neuter Contract will be required and strictly enforced.Vaccinations:   Puppy vaccines will be up to date - all vaccinations required after adoption are the responsibility of the adopter.Heartworm: Too young (testing is done at 6 months of age)Housetrained:  Not usuallyMicrochipped: YesLocation of dog currently:  Alabama Puppy Adoption Fee:  $550.00 (includes a spay/neuter surgery rebate of up to $200.00 to be paid to the adopter when proof of spay/neuter is provided to Paws New England). Story
I’ve had Hazel for 5 years, and she is about 6-7 years old. When I adopted her from a shelter in Alabama with my (now ex) husband, she was emaciated and withdrawn. With lots of love and food, she is now a healthy and happy girl! I am rehoming her because I left my ex husband and moved to a tiny studio apartment with Hazel and my other dog, Coal. My apartment is just too small for Hazel, and I know she would be happier in a bigger home with a yard ideally. She has a lot of energy and needs a home with someone who is willing to play with her regularly. She loves going on walks/runs, fetch, and tug of war. She does bark when it is time to go for a walk and when she thinks you are leaving, but if you give her a treat to chew on, she will stop barking. She is sometimes good with other dogs and sometimes she can be reactive to them (especially other females), so I would prefer a home with no other dogs. She has never been around a cat, so I’m not sure with cats. She loves children.

Adoptable in: MA, RI, NH, CT, and VTGood with dogs: Yes, with proper, slow introductionsGood with cats: NoGood with kids: Older children only (16+)Crate trained: YesHouse trained: YesIf you’re looking for the ultimate companion, Jaxtyn checks all of the boxes: he’s extremely smart, attentive, dedicated, and eager to make his humans happy. (Plus, he’s extra, extra handsome if we do so say so ourselves!)Jaxtyn absolutely loves affection and thrives on the connection he makes with his humans. While he does prefer a slower introduction when meeting new people, he quickly becomes comfortable and loves to show off his impressive manners. Jax gets along well with other dogs after proper introductions (he can still be wary of new friends he meets on the street), and while he would enjoy a dog sibling to nap and play with, he would be just as happy as an only dog where he can be the center of attention.Jaxtyn has been working diligently on his training with his foster dad and has an impressive skillset that includes focus and release commands, expert-level leash-walking skills, and all of his basic commands like ‘sit’, ‘down’, and ‘wait’. Jaxtyn is fully house and crate-trained and thrives with structure and routine. Jaxtyn is currently working to gain more confidence on walks around things like bikes, scooters, or busy sidewalks and he’s making stellar progress. Jaxtyn would do great in a home in the city as he’s shown he can be comfortable in an urban setting or would love a more low-key house in the suburbs with a yard to romp and roam in. Bonus - he’s great in the car so he’d be thrilled to be your adventure buddy! Jaxtyn is an amazing boy who’s ready to find - and unconditionally love - his family! July 24, 2024, 11:47 am
