Story
Cannoli was left with me unexpectedly. She is very sweet and social, but it is clear she was never taught manners and needs a lot of training. I cannot keep her as I have a reactive dog who does not like her. I think she would do well with another dog in the house or as the only pet. It is hard to tell how she is with cats as mine avoid her, but I think she would be ok. We are working on house training, but a new adopter would have to continue this work. She is a power chewer and will shred anything she can, so a potential adopter needs to have a clutter-free home and understand she cannot have blankets in her kennel. She is also a counter surfer and not afraid to try to take food out of your mouth, which we are working on. Due to her size and unruly nature, she needs an owner who is experienced with large powerhouse dogs/breeds.

SEEKING A RESPONSIBLE AND EXPERIENCED ROTTWEILER OWNER FOR THIS CHARMING YOUNG MAN Meet Carlo, an exceptionally handsome nearly two-year-old Rottweiler. Carlo is a smart and eager learner, highly motivated by food and responsive to positive reinforcement training. He is looking for someone who will continue to develop his training and refine what he has already learned. While he occasionally needs reminders not to pull on the leash, he generally walks nicely. Currently, he resides with a female Rottweiler of similar size and gets along well with her. He has interacted with other female dogs of his size, but not all appreciated his playful nature. Interestingly, he is remarkably tolerant of smaller female dogs. Carlo enjoys playing fetch, excels at catching balls or treats, and is making great progress with sitting patiently for his food until given the command to eat. Due to his robust size and enthusiastic greetings, Carlo's best suited for homes with teens or older. He's working on his manners! Brutus's Story Brutus There’s no pre-heating needed to get this guy to warm up to you! Brutus has a sweet disposition and is friendly and affectionate with people right from the start. He’s easygoing, too – 30 minutes after we met him, he curled up and relaxed on the floor while the humans chatted around him. Rescued after being abandoned behind a restaurant, Brutus is estimated to be two to four years old. He is a good-size boy, weighing about 60 pounds, but is gentle and aware of his size. He takes well to being handled and groomed with a brush. Brutus walks nicely on leash and seems to be good around other dogs, showing interest and keeping calm.
