Story
Nova is a little over a year old. She extremely loving with people. She's been great with teenage kids, as we do not have younger than that. Alot of energy and loves to play. She is good with commands. Loves outside and car rides especially. Our only issue is she has issues with other pets at times. While she does get along with our other pets, she has had moments that she has become aggressive with them. We feel that she would be best in a home without other pets. We are only looking to rehome due to this issue with our other pets. Feel free to ask any questions.

Story
There are two things in life Timber loves. Peanut butter and her people...in that order Peanut butter is life! Single guy needing a ride or die? Timber's your girl! Single lady that loves to walk? Timber will be by your side every step of the way! A couple looking to change the world for a dog? She's got ya! We believe Timber is a rottweiler mix, she's got a big ol beefy head. She's 5 years old, and over 100 lbs. She's pretty quiet unless she needs to potty or she wants peanut butter. She's great left out of the kennel and is housetrained. She has been around kids, but truly does NOT know her size. She also prefers to be the only dog, she doesn't like to share her peanut butter or huggies...which means more love and more peanut butter for the two of you!!! No sharing!!

Story
Oh, sweet Bubba! He is such a handsome caramel and black Rottweiler mix of ~7.5 years and ~55 pounds who came to us through @Saving Death Row Dogs in Topeka, Kansas. He's an amazing boy who deserves an equally amazing home. Bubba just adores children! His perfect day is being with his humans, running in the grass, and lounging with his toys. Bubba loves playing on the couch and rearranging the covers, too. Oh, and giving his human friends kisses! He's been around cats and does fine. Because they are scary to him, though, Bubba will not do well with other dogs in his home. Text or call The Pet Connection at 913-671-7387 for more information about Bubba. If you'll foster him, all of his expenses will be paid. Bubba's adoption fee is also being paid by a friend and we can transport him from KC, if needed. 💕 #thepetconnection #RottweilerMix #RescueDog #AdoptDontShop #DogLovers #KansasDogs #PetAdoption #FosterAPet #DogRescue #KCAdopt #DogsofInstagram

Story
3 year old Portobello is an easy going big boy who enjoys going for walks and meeting people, as well as hanging out in the shelter playgroups with the other polite pups. This handsome boy was found as a stray so we don`t know anything about his previous life but we do know that he`s going to make his new adopters very happy with his gentle ways. Portobello needs a home with no children. He is fully house trained and kennel trained. He stays in the kennel when we aren`t home and at night. He will go into the kennel for a treat. Can sit, lay down, stay, and come. After a few slow introductions he became great buddies with our pitty. He is very interested in the cats, he will chase if they run. But there`s one cat that doesn`t run and he just sniffs that cat. With slow introductions he could likely live with other cats.On a leash he listens. He can be reactive over food and should be fed separately. We are working on that. He will do anything for a tennis ball.Portobello is up to date on his vaccinations, neutered, microchipped and ready to head home with you! This boy is currently living in a foster home. If you would like to learn more about him or meet him, please email foster@kcpetproject.org.

Roxy is a courtesy listing for one of our partner groups, info for adopting is below: Meet Roxy Anne You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Please contact Virginia (virginiak@tarasdream.org) for more information about this pet. Please visit our web site at https://tarasdream.org/adopt to fill out an adoption application for this pet and for more info about our adoption process.Meet Roxy! Roxy is one unique girl who's had a rough go being in our boarding facility for several years now, which is never good. That said, her personality is still that of a smiley happy dog, who loves to go on walks with our volunteers. Roxy was recently fostered in a home for the holidays where she did very well, having no accidents and behaving like an angel! Roxy can be a little nervous and unsure of men, which just means men should give her time to familiarize with them, and respect her by moving slowly, and not acting like an idiot or aggressive (I'm a guy btw, I can vouch we are idiots at times). Roxy needs someone patient, but once she connects with you, she will be your best friend and love you in the most special way. If you think you are that unique opportunity for Roxy, she's been waiting!Approximate Birthdate: Oct 2017Adoption Fee: Roxy's adoption fee has been sponsored by the Kansas City Crime Lab!TARA's adoption fee includes: spay/neuter, age appropriate vaccinations, microchip, heartworm test (if age appropriate), heartworm and flea prevention, and deworming. TARA's pets are all eligible for a TWO WEEK TRIAL.Due to the fact that many of our dogs come from the local city shelters, we do not know the background of many of them and therefore cannot always guarantee age or breed. Size is subjective but we use the following guidelines: Small 1-20 pounds, Med 20-50 pounds, Large 50-80 pounds, Extra Large over 80 pounds. For more information please fill out an application.October 28, 2024, 6:52 pm
