Story
Meet Peggy! 🐾 At just 4 months old and about 15 pounds, Peggy is the perfect mix of playful pup and snuggly sidekick. She’s expected to grow into a wonderful medium-sized companion (around 35–45 lbs) — the ideal “not too big, not too small” family dog. Loyal. Affectionate. Close-by at all times. She loves being near her people and Peggy may take a minute to check you out, but once she decides you’re hers, she is all happily transforms into a lap puppy once playtime winds down. Her foster reports that Peggy: • Adores children • Does great with cats • Plays nicely with large dogs • Is curious, confident, and ready to explore Peggy is at that perfect puppy age where she’s ready to learn, bond deeply, and grow alongside her family. With continued guidance and training, she’s going to make an incredible lifelong companion. If you’ve been waiting for a kid-loving, cuddle-ready, medium-sized pup to join your home — Peggy might just be your girl. All of our dogs/pups are spayed/neutered, microchipped, and up-to-date on age-appropriate vaccines. Adoption fee: $225 Dogs are in foster homes across the KC metro — we do not have a shelter facility. Apply to meet Peggy here: https://new.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/HAUS/Dog

Story
Meet Georgie! 🐾 DOB: 10/06/2025 Georgie is the kind of puppy who makes you smile without even trying. Bright-eyed, bouncy, and full of personality, she’s soaking up the world one adventure at a time. We were told mom may have been a Rottweiler mix and dad possibly a corgi — but Georgie is proudly her own unique blend. Whatever her mix, she brings curiosity, brains, and playful charm to the table. In her foster home, Georgie is thriving. She loves attention, enjoys playtime, and is learning all the important puppy basics in a safe and structured environment. She’s social, people-focused, and happiest when she’s part of the action. ✨ Why you’ll love Georgie: • Smart and eager to learn • Playful without being over-the-top • Affectionate and people-oriented • Confident, curious explorer • Doing great in a foster home setting Georgie is still very much a puppy, so her future family should be ready to continue working on potty training, leash skills, and positive guidance as she grows. The good news? She’s bright and ready to learn. She would do best with older children. All of our dogs/pups are spayed/neutered, microchipped, and up-to-date on age-appropriate vaccines. Adoption fee: $225 Dogs are in foster homes across the KC metro — we do not have a shelter facility. Apply here to meet Georgie: https://new.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/HAUS/Dog

Story
Pet Location: Trinity is currently living in a foster home. If you’d like to schedule a time to meet her, please contact Wayside Adoptions at (816) 986-4426.My friends at Wayside say:- I am enrolled in LIFT University. This is a program for dogs to build confidence in new situations and work on managing energy. My adoption comes with a free 30-minute private training session. - My foster family said that I am crate-trained and mostly house-broken.- I have experience living successfully around cats in my foster home. - I’m a shy dog and need someone willing to be patient with me.- I am eligible for a Slumber Pawty, a 7-10 day in-home trial period. Please visit our website for additional information. My home needs are:- I need a home with kids 10 years old and older since I tend to be nervous around new people and loud noises. - I must go to a home with another confident dog to help build my confidence.- I feel more comfortable around new people when I have a doggie friend to build my confidence. Wayside requires you to bring your dog with you when you come to meet me. - A fenced yard is a must for me! I do not know how to walk on a leash, so I need a secure area to go out for potty breaks.- For my safety, I need to go home on an anti-slip collar called a martingale collar. You can purchase one at our retail store, Whiskers and Wags.Hi there, I’m Trinity! I’m energetic, playful, super sweet, and so much fun. I’m shy and timid, too, until I get to know you, and it takes me extra time to grow comfortable and to learn to trust. Once we bond, I’ll be able to relax and live the life that was always meant for me. I’ve just had a lot of change and instability in my short life, that’s all, so these things take time. Still, if you’ll stay patient with me and simply give me a chance to shine, I’m the sort of dog who will quietly work my way right into your heart and never leave. I hope you find out that you need me in your life just as much as I need you.I’m an adorable, 1 1/2-year-old, 56-pound Rottweiler mix, with the cutest, expressive face and ears, soft fur, and an unassuming, mostly chill except when I’m playing, delightful personality. I’m equally happy to lounge on the couch or to quietly watch out the window as the world goes by or to joyfully run at full speed with other dogs. I’m even already crate trained and mostly housebroken, too, although please stay patient with me when I have acc

Story
She's a loving 4-year old Rottweiler mix. We just adopted her in January but then learned that I am allergic. She's shy around new people in the house but has no problems on walks. She's house trained and crate trained, though we let her roam the house, and she does not cause any problems. She loves to sit on you and eat treats.

These pups are in Mission, Kansas too!

Story
Hans is the embodiment of a good boy. He is comfortable with everyone, easy to walk, listens well, and just wants to enjoy life with his family. * Good with new people * Good with dogs, including off leash dog parks * Good with cats, including cats that do not like him. He does get stuck in rooms sometimes because the cat is in the doorway. * Good with kids, even those who don’t know how to be nice yet. His biggest flaw - if you can call it that - is that he’s a giant cuddle bug that does not realize he’s 70 lbs. His favorite place to sit is on his humans, and he goes to great lengths to figure out how to do so. He’s completely kennel trained and will “go to bed” from anywhere in the house. Needs a little bit more training with manners, especially when food is left out. But he has no aggressive characteristics. Mess with his feet, eyes, ears, mouth, all safe. Adoption fee will be donated to Great Plains SPCA.

Story
Thank you for taking the time to read about Moses. Writing something like this is never easy, but we hope to find him the calm, loving home he truly deserves. Moses is a sweet Boxer who has been with our family since he was just 10 weeks old. He has a gentle heart and forms strong bonds with the people he trusts. He is wonderful on a leash, enjoys his walks, and is happiest spending quiet time with his people. Moses is also sensitive and nervous, especially around other dogs. Because of this, he would do best as the only dog in a calm home where he can feel safe and relaxed. A fenced yard is important for him, as he is a runner and loves having space to move around safely. He finds comfort in routine and actually prefers being kenneled when he is alone or at night; it helps him feel secure. Once he feels safe with someone, his sweet and loyal personality really shines. Moses is a really good dog who simply needs the right environment. One that is quiet patient, and full of love.

Story
Meet Cane! Cane is a sweet, goofy Boxer/Pit Bull mix with a big heart and an even bigger love for naps and snuggles. He's house-trained, knows his basic commands, and loves learning new things, especially when treats are involved (very food motivated!). Most days, Cane is happily snoozing, supervising his humans, or curled up as close as possible on the couch. Once a day, he enjoys a short but enthusiastic case of the zoomies before returning to his favorite activity: relaxing. Toys will bring him out of a slumber every time, and he loves some rowdy playtime too. Cane would thrive in a calm, adult-only home where he can be the only pet. He does best without other animals or children and truly shines when he gets all the attention. In the right home, he's affectionate, loyal, and full of personality. If you're looking for a low-key companion who will keep your couch warm and your heart full, Cane may be your perfect match. I wish I could keep him myself truly, he's my best friend.
