Story
Mia is a great dog, I’ve had here since birth, she is very protective of the family and has been aggressive to neighbors and I lack the funds to build a new fence, she has the tendency to escape and roam the neighborhood. I fix the holes that I find but it is getting the point the police are involved because she is a Rottweiler. She is a great guard dog as she has is very alert. I’ve spent thousands in training so she knows all the basic commands, she goes to lay in her bed when you tell her place. She has been trained on lead rope as well as shock collar if you intend to use one. She has never bitten anyone, just doesn’t like anyone on the other side of the fence. She would be a great dog to a great home, loves our kids and plays with our other dogs

Roxy is a courtesy listing for one of our partner groups, info for adopting is below: Meet Roxy Anne You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Please contact Virginia (virginiak@tarasdream.org) for more information about this pet. Please visit our web site at https://tarasdream.org/adopt to fill out an adoption application for this pet and for more info about our adoption process.Meet Roxy! Roxy is one unique girl who's had a rough go being in our boarding facility for several years now, which is never good. That said, her personality is still that of a smiley happy dog, who loves to go on walks with our volunteers. Roxy was recently fostered in a home for the holidays where she did very well, having no accidents and behaving like an angel! Roxy can be a little nervous and unsure of men, which just means men should give her time to familiarize with them, and respect her by moving slowly, and not acting like an idiot or aggressive (I'm a guy btw, I can vouch we are idiots at times). Roxy needs someone patient, but once she connects with you, she will be your best friend and love you in the most special way. If you think you are that unique opportunity for Roxy, she's been waiting!Approximate Birthdate: Oct 2017Adoption Fee: Roxy's adoption fee has been sponsored by the Kansas City Crime Lab!TARA's adoption fee includes: spay/neuter, age appropriate vaccinations, microchip, heartworm test (if age appropriate), heartworm and flea prevention, and deworming. TARA's pets are all eligible for a TWO WEEK TRIAL.Due to the fact that many of our dogs come from the local city shelters, we do not know the background of many of them and therefore cannot always guarantee age or breed. Size is subjective but we use the following guidelines: Small 1-20 pounds, Med 20-50 pounds, Large 50-80 pounds, Extra Large over 80 pounds. For more information please fill out an application.February 26, 2024, 7:59 am

Story
Meet Cheyenne aka Shy! This 2 year old rottie mix is the sweetest gal you'll meet! She's dog friendly and loves people, but can be a little shy at first. She would make an AMAZING first pet for some lucky family. She loves to chase her tail and go on walks! She is learning how to walk on a leash, and is doing better and better every day. She is also working on crate and potty training, and doing great at both. Cheyenne's adoption fee is $200 and covers all age appropriate vaccines, spay, microchip, and heartworm prevention. If you'd like to meet Cheyenne, place an app today at https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/LUCK/Dog or at www.lucky13rescue.org.
