This adorable goofball is Bubba, our friend from Saving Death Row Dogs in Topeka, Kansas. Bubba is a very handsome Rottweiler mix and about six years old. Like so many of the dogs in our program, Bubba had a difficult start to life. His mama was used as a backyard breeder. Bubba's oxygen was cut off during his birth and he had to be resuscitated. He's a very sweet guy and loves all the people, big and small. On a perfect day, Bubba would spend some time running, rolling and lounging in the grass, and sitting for some yummy treats. In case you were wondering, he really likes cheese. That stuff is good! (If you want to get really fancy with rotisserie chicken, Bubba won’t complain!) Bubba's nub tail wags like crazy if you talk silly to him. Maybe he's just humoring us, but he sure seems to enjoy it! Bubba also loves to play with stuffies and rope toys—he runs and places them where he thinks they belong in the yard. So stinkin' cute! Bubba's been bounced around quite a bit, so we really want his next home to be his forever. That’s what he dreams about at night. And frankly, also during the day! Are you Bubba's dream come true? 4 1/2 year old Papa is a gorgeous Rottie boy who is friendly and easy going with people AND he enjoys hanging out with the other mellow and polite pups in the shelter playgroups. He is the total package! Like all of our pups, he would like to meet any potential canine siblings before heading home to make sure that it's a good match. He was found as a stray so we don't know anything about his previous life.He is up to date on his vaccinations, neutered and microchipped.

Bonanza just knows there are some Rottweiler lovers out there looking for a new best friend. This big lug is looking for the same thing! He came in as a stray, so we don't know his history. So far he is a little selective in the dog playgroups and will need to meet future fur siblings before going home. Recently he got a break from the shelter! Here's how they say the Dog Day out went: "Bonanza is a big sweet rottie! I have owned many rotties and wanted to spend some time with Bonanza. He rode great in the car, and fell asleep a few times. He is very strong, and with more leash training can learn the cues to not pulling and knowing his boundaries when leash walking. We went to the park and played with the tennis ball, Frisbee and stuffed toy. He enjoyed the ball and toy the best. Bonanza is treat motivated and knows the commands sit and down. At the park, he wasn't bothered by any of the activities or people. We continued to walk and play in the park. He loves being petted and just liked to relax when he was done playing. I think Potential adopters should have some experience with large dogs and Rottweilers. They also will need to spend time training him since he is so strong, but he is smart and with the right person/family would do well. We really had a great day, he loved my husband and met my neighbors as well."Bonanza is neutered, microchipped, current on vaccines and ready for his forever home!
