I’m Graham, a handsome senior Rottweiler who would love to have a comfortable forever home for my golden years.I was abandoned at the vet next to the Humane Society of York County, tied to a pole with a note that said my owners could no longer care for me. My birth date is estimated to be January 2014.I’m a happy, easy-going fellow who loves treats, stuffy toys, belly rubs and lounging around. I’m a very chill boy, but I do enjoy my daily walks (at my mellow pace) and I’m an excellent leash walker.If you know much about Rotties, you know we’re loving, loyal and smart. And that’s me in a nutshell!I prefer to be the only pet in my forever home, and would do best in a family without small children. My ideal home would be calm and quiet to match my personality. I’m a gentle boy, but big and strong, about 65 pounds.I would be a perfect fit for someone who wants a cuddle buddy and couch potato. I was surrendered to the rescue with a broken tibia that had been left untreated, and I was in so much pain. But the amazing people here immediately got me the surgery I needed and I am now fully recovered and ready to conquer the world! I’m an active dog who loves to run, jump, and play. I’m also very intelligent and need mental stimulation to prevent boredom. Like many Rottweilers, I thrive on having a job to do. If you don’t provide me with one, I might find my own. Once I’ve channeled my energy, I become a very sweet affectionate and cuddly companion. I’m eager to find my forever home and embark on new adventures. I’m up to date on all my vet visits, housebroken, microchipped, and on heartworm prevention. I know how to sit and shake. All this despite not having the best start in life. My previous owners left me behind when they moved out. By the time animal control found me I was in rough shape and weighed only 27 lbs. Since coming to the rescue, I have slowly been putting on weight and have gained so much confidence and made a lot of new friends. I am good with people and do well with male dogs. I love going for rides in the car and spending time with my human friends. I am spayed, crate trained, up to date on all my vaccines, heart worm negative and microchipped. Foster mom says she is not sure if I am completely housebroken, but I do well in my crate. I am also working on learning basic obedience commands.
