Story
Meet Nora!! She came in as a stray on 11/12/25, and we think she’s about 4 years old. Picture this: a stocky, marshmallow-shaped queen with more adorable rolls than a bakery on Sunday morning. That’s Nora. She’s a very big girl with a very calm, “I’m-on-my-way-to-a-spa-day” kind of demeanor. She has been pretty scared since arriving—new places are tough when you’re a sensitive soul wrapped in 47 layers of cuteness—but she’s starting to relax and make friends. You’ll want to go slow with her at first, but once you’re in her circle, she’s sweet, friendly, and ready to show off her skills. She knows how to sit, and she can shake with BOTH paws… because if you’ve got rolls, you might as well have range, right? Nora will need someone who can handle her size and who understands her gentle, insecure personality. She’s looking for a human who can help her feel safe, loved, and confident—preferably someone who appreciates premium-level snuggle squish. She is available for adoption, so hurry in to meet her! (Just be prepared for a whole lot of adorable.) Nora is located at the Richland County Dog Shelter in Mansfield, OH Phone: 419-774-5892 It is an application process. You can request one via dogs@richlandcountyoh.gov

Story
Meet Boa!! She came in as a stray on 10/10/25, and we think she’s about 5 years old. Boa’s got the kind of face that could launch a thousand smiles — mostly because of her own. That awkward little grin of hers looks like she just told a joke and is waiting to see if you got it. Or maybe she’s just thrilled to be included — honestly, same, Boa. She’s a happy, wiggly, sweet girl with energy to spare and enough enthusiasm to power a small city. Boa’s the ultimate hype woman — she’ll cheer you on whether you’re doing laundry, watching TV, or just opening a bag of chips. If you’re looking for a dog who’s equal parts beauty, comedy, and chaos (the good kind), Boa’s your girl! She’s available for adoption, so hurry in to meet her before that goofy grin wins someone else over first! Story
Hi, I’m Jaxx 💙 I’m almost 7 years old, and if I had to pick one word to describe myself, it would be loyal. I listen well, I love deeply, and I’ll never turn down a good game of fetch. In fact, my favorite thing in the whole world is my ball—I’ll happily chase it for as long as you’ll throw it, and then I’ll carry it proudly in my mouth like it’s my baby. Life hasn’t always been easy for me. I was rescued once already, and now, because of circumstances beyond my control, I’m searching for a forever home again. My family is heartbroken—they call me part of their family, but housing changes mean I can’t stay with them. They just want me to be safe, happy, and loved. Here’s what you should know about me: 🐾 I adore kids of all ages—I’ve grown up alongside them and I’m gentle and patient. 🐾 I prefer women and children, but I can warm up to men with time and kindness. 🐾 I’m well-behaved, crate trained, and sleep peacefully on my dog bed. 🐾 I’m leash-trained (though sometimes I get excited and pull a little). 🐾 I love people—neighbors say I’m wonderfully behaved. If I could design the perfect day, it would be running in an open field, chasing my ball, and getting a few tasty treats before curling up for cuddles with my family. I’m not looking for much—just someone who will love me, play ball with me, and promise I won’t ever have to lose my home again. Could that someone be you?

Story
am not for the first time Rotti owner. I need an experienced handler who can give me structure, fair rule enforcement, plenty of exercise as well as teaching me that I need to relax and remain calm. My current foster says in the right hands I am going to prosper and turn into an amazing dog and family pet. My biggest problem is that as a puppy no one spent time to teach me how to be a good boy. Once I learn the rules you patiently teach me, I am positive I will be your favorite member of the family. The rescue will only consider someone who has Rottweiler experience, works from home and is physically active to give me structured exercise. Story
I’m Misha 💕 If you are looking for a female Rottweiler with a friendly, playful, affectionate and completely sweet personality look no further. I think I’m around 2 years old but I might be younger? The shelter is not the best at guessing ages and I’m a dog I have no idea how old I am I spayed and up to date on all my shots! I have the most adorable nub tail, that is wagging more often than not I have a lot of energy so I’m looking for an active family! I would enjoy having a fur sibling cause I love other dogs. Cats are kinda unknown, if you want to bring your cat over to my foster house to give it a try, let me know… it could go either way I’m a gentle girl who will wait and sit for my treats! 🦴 I am even potty trained 🚽 I’m pretty great! And Even though I have energy, and to be fair any dog my age does I still love to relax and cuddle with you humans I’ve been practicing my daily affirmation since I left the shelter: I am grateful for the small joys in my life. I am strong and capable, I am worthy of love and respect, and I am grateful for this life I have since being rescued! If I can give and receive this much love in my foster home, I can’t wait to see my forever home! I really hope to meet you soon
