I’ll take a minute, do some judging, and then BAM 💥 besties ❤️ Once I warm up, it’s full play mode like I’ve known them my whole life 🎾 I do great with both male and female dogs 🐾 I am also a very important household employee 😌 Professional bed tester, I sleep at the foot of your bed 💤 Certified snack inspector, I check your counters for safety 😋 Fetch enthusiast, returns may vary unless snacks are involved 🎾 Now let’s talk about food 🦴 because I LOVE food 🤤 deeply, emotionally, spiritually. I’m working on my manners, but for now just know what’s mine is mine, and what’s yours is… something I’m very interested in. My humans say I’m improving every day, especially with structure and guidance ☺️ I just need someone patient to keep helping me be my best self. I’m actually super smart 🧠 I learned the doggy door just by watching my dog friends 👀 I know how to sit, and I try really hard to wait for my food… but sometimes the excitement wins 🫣 We’re working on it, okay? Hi, I’m Hope. 🎀 My story didn’t start with rainbows 🌈 and butterflies. 🦋 Someone wrapped a rubber band so tightly around my tiny tail that it cut off the blood supply. 😔 By the time I got the the shelter there was nothing that could be done to save it. Eventually, my tail fell off. It would’ve been easy for something like that to change me. But somehow it never stole my joy. 💜 Because that’s the thing about me. I don’t spend much time looking backward. I’m way too busy making sure you’re doing whatever it is with me. 😏 I love to tag along! For an example! If you’re folding laundry, 🧺 I’m helping. If you’re making dinner, 🥘 I’m making dinner (catching the scraps) If you’re sitting on the couch, 🛋️ you now have a lap puppy. I’m a social butterfly 🦋 who thinks every person is my best friend, and I fully believe whatever you’re doing would be even more fun if I was involved. Let’s be for real it is 😏 My foster mom says I’m basically a wiggle worm 🐛 with legs. Staying still for pictures is almost impossible because life is just so exciting! There are people to love, toys to investigate, 👀 and cuddles that absolutely cannot wait. I’m still a puppy, which means I’m a work in progress. Sometimes I remember to go potty outside, sometimes my brain gets a little distracted. 😅 I know how to sit, but I’ll admit I occasionally pretend I’ve forgotten. The one time I never “forget” is at mealtime. Hi, I’m Kiko. 💙 I’m pretty sure I was supposed to be someone else’s dog a long time ago. I spent far longer in the shelter than dogs usually do. The kind of long that doesn’t make much sense. Every day I watched dogs get adopted or end up on the euthanasia list. Somehow, the staff never gave up on me. They kept believing there was something special about me. 🥹 Turns out, they were right. 💙 I’m the kind of dog who makes himself at home in your heart almost immediately. 🥹 I’ll also make myself at home in your bed because, respectfully, I have no interest in sleeping anywhere else. 🤭 I’m sweet in a way that’s hard to explain until you meet me. 🧁 I hand out kisses like they’re free, give hugs whenever I can, and somehow manage to be both a goofy class clown 🤡 and the world’s biggest cuddle bug. 🥰 My foster laughs every single day because of my signature gallop. 🏇 When I come bouncing out of my kennel, my legs seem to have plans of their own. It’s impossible not to smile watching me. ☺️ Speaking of kennels… 🙄 I’m still working on that whole crate thing. It’s not exactly my favorite place. I’d much rather be wherever my people are, preferably with a squeaky toy 🎾 nearby and belly rubs waiting for me. Life is exciting, and I’m determined to experience all of it. 😁 Walks are wonderful. Chasing a ball is even better. Bringing it back, Well… I think that part is optional. 😉 I’ll happily go get it, but then it becomes a team building exercise because you have to come get it too. I’m really just looking out for your cardio. 😋 Water… 🚿 baths… 🛁 rain… 🌧️ I haven’t quite decided how I feel about all that yet, but I’m definitely going to investigate. 👀 Now, about cats… 🐈 I know everyone always asks. I’m not looking to chase them. I just have questions, okay 🙃 We can be curious together. Squirrels, though 🐿️ I’m convinced they’re up to something. Weird little things 😟 I absolutely adore other dogs. 🐶 They’re usually my favorite introductions, and I would love a home with a canine best friend. I play nicely, I’m submissive, and having another dog helps me feel confident while I’m still figuring out this whole “being a family dog” thing. I’m house trained, I ride great in the car, 🚙 I know how to sit, and I’m learning something new every day. I’m curious about everything, determined to keep trying, and sweet enough that you’ll forgive the occasional puppy mistake. 🫣 One of my funniest habits is carrying pieces of my food somewhere else before I eat them. 🦴 Apparently dining rooms are overrated. I also gently nibble my toys 🧸 instead of destroying them, and when I finally settle down, you’ll probably find me asleep upside down with all four paws in the air. 💤🥱 My perfect home is one with people looking for a true best friend, at least one playful dog, and a family that enjoys a morning adventure followed by a cozy evening on the couch. I have energy to burn, but once I’ve had my fun, I’m more than happy to curl up beside you because being close to my people is my favorite place to be. ☺️ I’ve waited longer than I ever should have. Now I’m just waiting for the family who will finally look at me and say… “There you are.” 💙 Maybe that’s you.
