Imagine what a beautiful flower arrangement does for the mind and body? It brings a huge smile and lights up everyone’s day for sure! And the fragrance … man, sure does the senses good! Dahlia is that flower ♥️ She is so sweet, so lovely, so lovey and affectionate. Silly and playful too! She is a very friendly pup, always so happy to meet people, after the initial ‘who-are-you bark’. Everyone is a BFF:) She greets you with the biggest smile, flashing her white pearly teeth, the best body wiggles. Don’t mind that she gets rude sometimes and soft slams into you for hugs. She can be just plain goofy! Dahlia loves to play fetch Dahlia style. She chases the ball, picks it up then leaves it on the ground and comes running back to you without the ball :D Dahlia enjoys her evening walks. She is wonderful on a leash. Did someone say car ride? Dahlia hops in the car quicker than you can shake a stick at. Dahlia is a champ in the car. She makes a wonderful copilot. Dahlia is 2 years old, 90lb Rottweiler mix. She is looking for a family who enjoys cuddles with big pups and incorporates her in their family activities. Dahlia has a zest to learn new things and boy, is she a fast learner! Dahlia is wonderful with kids, dogs and cats. Warn kids not to leave tennis balls around. Dahlia thinks tennis balls are tasty treats ☹She is house trained. She sits by the door to indicate she needs to use the bathroom. Dahlia is not for apartment living. She alarm-barks at every sound. She thinks she is a good ‘protector’. Dahlia makes a wonderful companion. She likes to hang out with her humans.

Story
Meet Josie- a gentle soul ready for her forever home. After surviving a tough past—living outdoors with 13 dogs and losing her home to a fire—she’s now healthy, happy, and craving stability. Josie is a 9-year-old Rottweiler mix who weighs 70 lbs and ready for a calm, loving retirement home. Josie is loyal and affectionate, especially with women—she’s attached to her foster mom like Velcro! She prefers a quiet home without small pets or young kids. With proper introductions, she does well with medium to large dogs. The ideal home would be a low-key, non-active household where Josie can relax and feel safe. She enjoys short, slow walks and peaceful days. After months in foster care, she’s even starting to play with toys! Josie has excellent house manners and never jumps on people. She was heartworm positive when we rescued her, but at her age, the traditional treatment would be too tough on her as they are painful and distressing for the poor dog. SOS has chosen to do the slow kill method with her and we will provide a LIFETIME of medication for her. This might scare some people off but this sweet girl has been through so much and she’s ready for a peaceful, loving home. If you’re looking for a gentle companion who will stick by your side like Velcro, Josie is your girl! She is spayed, housebroken and crate trained. Her adoption fee is $50 fully vetted, and we will provide a lifetime of heartworm medication for her to continue to keep the disease at bay. Save Ohio Strays does not have a shelter. Our dogs are integrated into their foster homes who can tell you all about them to make the transition into your home informative and supportive. Our first step to adopt is always our online application at saveohiostrays.org. Save Ohio Strays does NOT claim or guarantee any breeds given in this description. These are best guess descriptions for breed. SOS NEVER ships pets and will not adopt out to a driving radius greater than 3 hours from Medina, Ohio.

Story
Hi, I’m Jaxx 💙 I’m almost 7 years old, and if I had to pick one word to describe myself, it would be loyal. I listen well, I love deeply, and I’ll never turn down a good game of fetch. In fact, my favorite thing in the whole world is my ball—I’ll happily chase it for as long as you’ll throw it, and then I’ll carry it proudly in my mouth like it’s my baby. Life hasn’t always been easy for me. I was rescued once already, and now, because of circumstances beyond my control, I’m searching for a forever home again. My family is heartbroken—they call me part of their family, but housing changes mean I can’t stay with them. They just want me to be safe, happy, and loved. Here’s what you should know about me: 🐾 I adore kids of all ages—I’ve grown up alongside them and I’m gentle and patient. 🐾 I prefer women and children, but I can warm up to men with time and kindness. 🐾 I’m well-behaved, crate trained, and sleep peacefully on my dog bed. 🐾 I’m leash-trained (though sometimes I get excited and pull a little). 🐾 I love people—neighbors say I’m wonderfully behaved. If I could design the perfect day, it would be running in an open field, chasing my ball, and getting a few tasty treats before curling up for cuddles with my family. I’m not looking for much—just someone who will love me, play ball with me, and promise I won’t ever have to lose my home again. Could that someone be you?

Story
am not for the first time Rotti owner. I need an experienced handler who can give me structure, fair rule enforcement, plenty of exercise as well as teaching me that I need to relax and remain calm. My current foster says in the right hands I am going to prosper and turn into an amazing dog and family pet. My biggest problem is that as a puppy no one spent time to teach me how to be a good boy. Once I learn the rules you patiently teach me, I am positive I will be your favorite member of the family. The rescue will only consider someone who has Rottweiler experience, works from home and is physically active to give me structured exercise. If you think that you are my person please apply at www.REALRottweilerRescue.com

Story
I’m Misha 💕 If you are looking for a female Rottweiler with a friendly, playful, affectionate and completely sweet personality look no further. I think I’m around 2 years old but I might be younger? The shelter is not the best at guessing ages and I’m a dog I have no idea how old I am I spayed and up to date on all my shots! I have the most adorable nub tail, that is wagging more often than not I have a lot of energy so I’m looking for an active family! I would enjoy having a fur sibling cause I love other dogs. Cats are kinda unknown, if you want to bring your cat over to my foster house to give it a try, let me know… it could go either way I’m a gentle girl who will wait and sit for my treats! 🦴 I am even potty trained 🚽 I’m pretty great! And Even though I have energy, and to be fair any dog my age does I still love to relax and cuddle with you humans I’ve been practicing my daily affirmation since I left the shelter: I am grateful for the small joys in my life. I am strong and capable, I am worthy of love and respect, and I am grateful for this life I have since being rescued! If I can give and receive this much love in my foster home, I can’t wait to see my forever home! I really hope to meet you soon
