MBR holds monthly adoption events on the 2nd Saturday of every month at Tractor Supply in Columbia Station, 24100 Royalton Road from 11 am - 2 pm. Questions can be emailed to rescue@mbrohio.com Hi friends, I’m Riley! I’m a 7-month-old, 35lb Rottweiler mix looking for my forever home. I am the sweetest gentle boy. I love to cuddle with humans and fur companions alike. My favorite spot to sleep is smooshed up to a nice cool wall. Did I mention that I love balls? Like, REALLY love them - chasing them, chewing them, squeaking them, I even talk while I play with them, they really are my favorite! When I’m not cuddling, napping, or playing you can find me following around the house humans for endless kisses. I walk well on a leash and would enjoy going for adventures around the block. I’m a good boy in the house, I only potty outside like a gentleman. I get along well with other dogs, cats, and kids of all ages. Aren’t I quite the catch!? If you need to run some errands I will gladly nap in my crate, dreaming of when you return for kisses and cuddles! Promise to get me a new ball while you’re out? Do I sound absolutely perfect? Are you ready to bring home the most snuggly, gentle, goofy little boy? Fill out an application ASAP because I can’t wait to meet you! If you are interested in adopting one of our dogs, the first thing to do is submit an application for approval. All dogs available for adoption are in foster homes. Please do not visit the rescue location as it is a privately run boarding, training & grooming facility. Individual meet and greets are scheduled by appointment only for approved adopters. Age: 7 months Adoption fee: $450

Story
Sweet Josie was a hard nut to crack as we had no background on her beyond knowing she lived with 13 other dogs, mostly outside, before a fire forced her owner out. Scared and not well, Josie needed a lifeline. She has been fixed, is wormed and all up to date on shots. She is crate-trained and housebroken. Now the bad news. Josie is heartworm positive, and always will be. At the ripe old age of 9, SOS has chosen to do the slow kill method with her. We fear at her age the traditional method would be too tough on her. And there is always the possibility of not surviving the treatments at her age as they are very painful and hard on the poor dog. We will provide a lifetime of medication for her to continue to keep the disease at bay. Josie is looking for a non-active, low-key retirement home, preferably not with a lot of young children or people activity. Josie has attached herself to the foster like a Velcro dog. Initially, you may need to work through some of her anxiety with activity and strangers. She does enjoy the peace and quiet. Josie doesn't need strenuous exercise. A simple slow walk in the park or up and down a street is all that is needed. Just enough to keep her active, but not any overexertion. The foster has found that these minimal walks help keep her anxiety level low. She walks very calmly on a leash with no pulling, and knows when you stop walking that she should too. She also loves car rides. While walking in the park, Josie ignores other people and could care less about a dog walking past. After being in foster for two months, Josie still has no interest in toys. She has great house manners – no getting up on furniture or counters, and she does not jump on people. Josie has had a hard life before coming to SOS, and it is now her time to lay back and take it easy. If you are looking for a buddy to hang out on the porch on those summer nights, Josie is your girl! Her adoption fee is $50 fully vetted and we will provide a lifetime of heartworm medication for her to continue to keep the disease at bay. Save Ohio Strays does not have a shelter. Story
Hi there, I'm Chance! I got my name because the rescue was willing to give me a second chance at life! I did not have the best life prior to coming to my foster family unfortunately. I lived my life outside on a thick chain and was expected to be a ferocious guard dog, even though that's not really my personality. I've really got a heart full of love and just want pets and loves ALL the time! Here at my foster home my days are now filled with playful antics and goofy gestures that are sure to bring a smile to your face. I'm a bit shy at first, but once I get to know you, I'm all cuddles and tail wags. My smarts? Oh, they shine bright! I'm quick to learn new tricks and always eager to please. My favorite game? Fetch! I could play it all day. But what I want most is a family to call my own. Someone to share my sweetness and laughter with, someone to give my loyalty and love to. Adopting me, you'll get a friend who's funny, smart, and above all, loving. I promise, you won't regret giving me a Chance. I am a little nervous with kids though, so a home with older kids may be alright, but I would need to meet everyone first. I do seem friendly with other dogs, and I was initially brought into the shelter with a female dog. I will need my forever family to understand that I most likely have never been allowed to live indoors, so I am still trying to learn housebreaking. I will likely thrive with an experienced handler that will help me gain confidence and know that not everything unknown is scary or bad. I currently have a vetting appointment set up February 13th to receive all of my vaccines and be neutered, so after that I will be all ready to go to a forever home!
