Story
Meet Moe, a resilient survivor from the streets of Houston, TX. Despite battling heartworm and demodex, he's now healthy and ready for a forever home. Due to his past, Moe is initially timid around humans but warms up quickly with patience and trust. He's a gentle giant who craves affection, enjoying pets, hugs, and kisses once he feels safe. Moe's ideal home would be a calm environment without small children to ensure he feels secure. He's a smart, well-trained companion who walks beautifully on a harness and leash, though collars make him nervous. Microchipped and up-to-date on vaccinations, Moe is ready to be someone's loyal soulmate, relishing in chew bones, toys, and a cozy bed to call his own. Story
King is a 3-year-old fun boy who never met a stranger. He's a good-natured soul, somewhat of a silly goofball! King is pretty large, because based on his DNA test, he is mixed with the Mastiff breed. King's superpower is catching treats on the fly...well, kind of. King came to us Heartworm Positive, but he has completed the treatment and is ready to go! He is fostered in a multi-dog house, but because of the time spent on his treatment, he is just starting to socialize and adores other dogs. He did well on his shelter dog Meet. He's just an easy-going boy. In his spare time, King enjoys playing fetch as well as watching TV while playing with his toys. He especially enjoys watching the Phillies and the Eagles! Due to his size, and the fact that he does jump on people at times out of excitement, elderly/young kids are not a good fit. Cats...no idea! If you'd like to be considered for this big, handsome lug, just go to www.kodisclub.org/applications to help us determine if you are a good fit.

Story
Two year old Harley has just completed a Board and Train program and did quite well. She worked with multiple trainers and training assistants and had a good relationship with each of them. We included the lead trainer's feedback below as they know her best. Harley will need a home that can meet her needs for activity and structure: "Harley is a ton of fun, She has VERY high energy & can be a bit silly but that’s her personality. I would say an ideal home for Harley would be with somebody who lives a very active lifestyle. She is always wanting to move and stretch those legs. Small children (mainly under 13) in a home with her likely aren’t ideal due to her hyperactivity and strength. She’s a strong girl who loves to jump around, I would be concerned with her knocking small children over. She is very social with the dogs that come to our enrichment program. We have been working on teaching her social skills by coaching her while she interacts with dogs so that she can have a more gentle approach. I think she could live in a home with another dog who matches her activity needs. Harley's adopter should be someone who is willing to give her structure throughout her day. When she gets bored she gets barky & tries to find something to do. She doesn't realize she needs time to shut off and relax. We have been working a lot on that off-switch with her through our place command and tether sessions. . As important as it is that we do our part teaching her how to be bored, I think it's just as important her future owner keeps up with it as well". If approved to adopt her, her trainer will spend time with her new family showing them the strategies that worked with this cutie pie. The first step is to submit the application on our website at www.kodisclub.org/applications.

Story
Meet Alex, your new best friend and adventure buddy! This 3 year old boy is incredibly friendly, affectionate, loyal, playful, smart, funny and athletic - making him the perfect companion for the right home. He is the opposite of a couch potato! He's always up for fun activities with those he trusts. Because of his high energy and 'zest' for life, no children under 12! He'd bowl them over lol. Alex was dog tested on leash and, much like with people, he was strong and high energy which could possibly either annoy, or intimidate, or engage another dog depending on their personality and temperament. He showed no aggression. We would assess interaction with a resident dog at a Meet. But he's just as happy being an only dog. He is creative in finding things to do and to make his own fun. At first, with new people, Alex is timid and lacks confidence. Once he sees for himself that he's safe, he warms up and his gleeful personality shines through. For this reason, his new family will need to be patient and consistent until Alex understands all his good. Thankfully, this boy has zero aggression. He is just suspect with new humans, most likely from having been homeless on the streets. Alex is very curious about his surroundings and is always eager to learn new things. He is eager to learn what is being asked of him. His loyalty, love, and goofy personality will win over your heart in no time. Alex is seeking a forever home where he can be showered with love, attention, and plenty of opportunities to play and explore, but who has the patience to help him build the trust he needs to blossom. He's sure to bring laughter and joy to everyone around him. If you'd like to be considered for Alex, just submit our application at www.kodisclub.org/applications! PA License #18512
