Story
Casey is a 1 year old adorable, sensible, engaging, loving pup, a pleaser, attentive to his humans, just a charming guy. He is a boy with a very nice temperament and has just completed an Obedience program at Lead Your K9. He was a favorite student! He is responsive to direction and a curious kiddo. He is definitely bright and alert and responsive to his environment. No one will sneak into your house as he will let you know. The good thing is while he'll notify you, it is limited to brief barking. He has no aggression and is more so submissive. And he loves playing with other dogs. Casey is looking for a family whom he can spoil rotten with love. Is that you? Applications are at www.kodisclub.org/applications for this precious boy. PA Dog License 18512 Souderton

Story
Liesel is a beautiful 1 year old girl found stray in Philly and taken to the city shelter. Liesel loves everyone she meets and is very affectionate. She especially enjoys playing tug and loves using her nose on walks. Her very favorite toy is her Jolly ball. She is truly a sweetheart who charms whose ever path she crosses. Liesel is very expressive through her body language. The only issue we saw was she seemed to have never been exposed to other dogs in her short life before rescue. She is such a precious girl, we decided she needed to be introduced to the joy of other dogs through professionals. When we attempted to introduce her, she’d become over aroused and excited. She showed absolutely no aggression, just super excited. We didn’t want to chance not doing it correctly and she needed exposure to a lot of other dogs. Liesel has completed a Board and Train program and did great. She progressed through pack walks, passing by other dogs, and participating in ‘social hour’ with other dogs there. She really did so well because she’s such a pleaser. Her approved applicant will need to participate in a couple of sessions with her trainer so that the cues and techniques used will be consistent once adopted. While there, she also learned foundational skills so she will be the total package! The photos here are from her training experience. There are also videos on our website Leisel has not been cat tested. Children need to be 10 or over. If you’d like to be considered for Liesel, we need to receive the application found on our website at www.kodisclub.org/applications. We look forward to hearing from you! PA Kennel License #18512

Story
Vader is between 1 to 2 years old and was found stray in Philly. He waited patiently for his owner but no one showed up. While waiting at the shelter, volunteers and vet staff commented that he was a very sweet dog. After his stray hold, off he came to Kodi's Club! Vader enjoys his humans and is overall a cooperative boy. Vader does not automatically bond with his human. There is a hint of a very strict prior life that looks like a weary affect when approached. Patience, space, and an environment that promotes a sense of security and safety are the tools to bring out the real Vader. Vader hasn't had much Obedience work so needs some leash work, as he will pull toward tempting scents of interest and has the strength to pull his handler. On leash walks, he has pretty much not shown interest in other dogs. Free to play in a group at the shelter, he also didn't present as interested in other dogs, but more so in scents in the yard. Vader will require a physically fenced yard. Learning not to jump up as part of his repertoire with new people is on his To Do list. Vader takes treats gently and is very appreciative! Because he's a young boy and needs to be taught to control his excitement, he will require an experienced owner who is also willing to schedule training sessions to fine tune his manners. No children under 12. Cats unknown. Interested in being considered? Head over to our website at www.kodisclub.org/applications and submit our application! PA Dog License #18512 Souderton, PA

Story
Tori is our latest GA peach. We call her Tiny Tori because of her short stature. A better name for her would be Tornado Tori because she runs 90 mph everywhere she goes!! Tori is a fun girl for sure and gives us lots of laughs. This munchkin is house trained, crate trained with a bungee across the front, loves other dogs, is respectful with them, and stays out of trouble. She especially loves playing in the foster's fenced in yard with her foster-mates BUT, Tori can scale any fence other than a 5 or 6 foot stockade. She just makes up for it with her extreme sweetness. Cats would be a situation by situation basis because we'd need to assess her with the applicant's cat(s). If you'd like to meet Tori, submit our application on our website at iwww.kodisclub.org/applications. PA Kennel License #18512 Souderton, PA

Story
Gravy is a sweet boy I love him so much. He is great with my kids and a mild mannered dog. He has never shown aggression towards people. He rarely barks if at all. He doesn't chew furniture but he loves socks and dish towels.. he has been house broken for 2 years. He is crate trained but I haven't needed to put him in his crate for about the past month. I was given Gravy as a gift from my fiancée she has all his paperwork and and vet information. We are no longer together and I must rehome him due to the fact that I have to find a new home for myself and no landlords will accept the breed. He was in doggy daycare for the first year of his life five days a week and around lots of other dogs. However it has been over a year since he has been there and I do not know his temperament with dogs now. He pulls hard when walking and sees other dogs. Must be a strong person to control him he is about 120lbs maybe more. But he is a good boy and I really want a good home for him.

Story
Lars is a handsome 2 years old, 76 lb. Terrier/Boxer mix brindle with white paws and bib around his neck. He's a big goofy people person and a love bug.  He loves to play, chew bones and give big sloppy kisses.  He is crate trained and appears to be good with other dogs and cats and school aged children. He does jump sometimes so probably not a good choice for a family with small children. Lars is neutered and has all of his vaccines.  He is being rehomed due to his owner's change in employment and just not being home very much to give him the loving home that he deserves.  Please email us at AlmostHome4Dogs@Yahoo.com for an application if Lars sounds like the right dog for your family. (Local adoptions preferred — Philadelphia and tri-state area [South Jersey and northern Delaware] only.) PLEASE READ BEFORE CONTACTING US! We are NOT a shelter: All of our dogs live in private homes with foster families. Come and meet the Almost Home dogs and their fosters at our Meet & Greet events, where you can learn more about our wonderful dogs from the people who live with them, find out which dogs are on their way and when they’ll arrive, and fill out an application to adopt or foster.
