King is a 3-year-old fun boy who never met a stranger. He's a good-natured soul, somewhat of a silly goofball! King is pretty large, because based on his DNA test, he is mixed with the Mastiff breed. King's superpower is catching treats on the fly...well, kind of. King came to us Heartworm Positive, but he has completed the treatment and is ready to go! He is fostered in a multi-dog house, but because of the time spent on his treatment, he is just starting to socialize and adores other dogs. He did well on his shelter dog Meet. He's just an easy-going boy. In his spare time, King enjoys playing fetch as well as watching TV while playing with his toys. He especially enjoys watching the Phillies and the Eagles! Due to his size, and the fact that he does jump on people at times out of excitement, elderly/young kids are not a good fit. Cats...no idea! Story

Two year old Harley has just completed a Board and Train program and did quite well. She worked with multiple trainers and training assistants and had a good relationship with each of them. We included the lead trainer's feedback below as they know her best. Harley will need a home that can meet her needs for activity and structure: "Harley is a ton of fun, She has VERY high energy & can be a bit silly but that’s her personality. I would say an ideal home for Harley would be with somebody who lives a very active lifestyle. She is always wanting to move and stretch those legs. Small children (mainly under 13) in a home with her likely aren’t ideal due to her hyperactivity and strength. She’s a strong girl who loves to jump around, I would be concerned with her knocking small children over. She is very social with the dogs that come to our enrichment program. We have been working on teaching her social skills by coaching her while she interacts with dogs so that she can have a more gentle approach. I think she could live in a home with another dog who matches her activity needs. Harley's adopter should be someone who is willing to give her structure throughout her day. When she gets bored she gets barky & tries to find something to do. She doesn't realize she needs time to shut off and relax. We have been working a lot on that off-switch with her through our place command and tether sessions. . As important as it is that we do our part teaching her how to be bored, I think it's just as important her future owner keeps up with it as well". If approved to adopt her, her trainer will spend time with her new family showing them the strategies that worked with this cutie pie. Beauty is a 1 year old high energy, sweet pup who is looking for an active home who can meet her 'need for speed'! She doesn't have an aggressive bone in her cute little 70 pound body! Beauty is crate trained (if we throw a treat in) and is perfectly quiet while crated. If she gives us a little reminder, just saying her name and she will stop. She is house trained although may have an initial accident as she transitions to a new home. While she won't chew shoes, socks, or clothes, don't drop a paper towel in this munchkin's presence! Story

Rosanna was abandoned along with Deebo outside of an open intake city shelter. Rosanna was affectionate from the minute staff retrieved her to bring her inside. Kisses, nub going excitedly, seeking attention and petting. Once inside, Rosanna was easy to leash when in her kennel. She was lying on her bed with soft eyes and remained on her bed until the handler asked her "do you wanna go for a walk?" and then she came to the front wagging her nub. Rosanna was very sweet and social when brought to a room for her behavior assessment. She was wagging her nub rapidly and continued to have soft eyes. She would come up to the assessors and seek out pets and attention, continuing to wag and lean against them. She was very affectionate and somewhat pushy with her love...trying to sit on them lol. She took treats gently and with manners and eagerly sat when asked. Rosanna liked tennis balls and allowed them to be taken directly from her mouth. Likewise, she had excellent manners with other toys. Rosanna does guard her food and high-value treats from other dogs. She has not guarded from people while in our care, only other dogs. Her ideal home would be a family who will take pleasure in and accommodate her enjoyment of attention, if there are children they are 12 or over, and no other dog to elicit her guarding of edibles. She's well worth it! It isn't that she can't be with another dog, but it would require separation at feeding time. Story

Deebo and a female Rottie, Rosanna, were abandoned overnight outside a city open-intake shelter. Deebo has a sweet, engaging personality. He's such a gentle boy. While at the shelter, Deebo was wiggly in his kennel and had a wagging nub, soft eyes and was eager to go out for a walk. He was easy to leash up and wanted to stop and say hi to any people while walking by them. Deebo is a social and fun guy! He was so friendly outside with us and multiple staff members. He would trot around the room wagging and would solicit attention often and lean in for pets. He allowed all petting without issues. He showed knowledge of sit and was very gentle when given treats. Deebo was a bit grabby with toys but readily would trade up. All in all, this is a nice and rather handsome pupper who deserves his own family to grace with his love and loyalty! Hey everyone, Zeus here, and I'm ready to find my furever family & home! ICYMI the posts about me, I'm a very handsome 3 year old black rottie/lab mix (as confirmed by my DNA test) and I'm neutered & current on vaccines.. I've been working really hard at my leash and listening skills and my foster family says I've changed soooo much in the last 3 months! I'm still learning leash skills but I'm now able to walk around the neighborhood, watch kids' softball games, and interact with folks walking. I'm very food motivated and would love a nice big yard where I can still play with my Frisbee and toys. I love my dog neighbors and sometimes play at the fence with them. I really like kids but because I'm so big, I don't know my own strength and do better with older kids. I'm very curious and examine all bags that come in the house!
