Story
Vader is between 1 to 2 years old and was found stray in Philly. He waited patiently for his owner but no one showed up. While waiting at the shelter, volunteers and vet staff commented that he was a very sweet dog. After his stray hold, off he came to Kodi's Club! Vader enjoys his humans and is overall a cooperative boy. He hasn't had much Obedience work so needs some leash work, as he will pull toward tempting scents of interest and has the strength to pull his handler. Learning not to jump up as part of his repertoire with new people is on his To Do list. Vader takes treats gently and is very appreciative! Because he's a young lad and needs to be taught to control his excitement, he will require an experienced owner who is also willing to schedule training sessions to fine tune his manners. No children under 12. Cats unknown. On leash walks, he has pretty much not shown interest in other dogs. Free to play in a group at the shelter, he also didn't present as interested in other dogs, but more so in scents in the yard. Vader will require a physically fenced yard. Interested in being considered? Head over to our website at www.kodisclub.org/applications and submit our application! PA Dog License #18512 Souderton, PA

Story
We just were contacted by a previous adopter so we will share their words. "My husband and I adopted our beloved Fiona in January 2022 from Kodi’s Club. She has been such a joy and light in our life since we brought her home. She has been a wonderful dog, sweet, enjoys lots of cuddles and long walks daily. However, our world has changed as we just brought home our first baby from the hospital this past weekend. Fiona started demonstrating concerning behavior around him. We have also noticed that she doesn’t prefer children in general, especially when they play. We fear that our child’s safety is at risk, and we don’t want to compromise Fiona’s lifestyle either at this point. We are struggling with the impossible decision to surrender her. We wanted to see if Kodi’s Club would take her back to find her a home with no children that can provide all the love she deserves. She went to day care boarding whenever we were on vacation and always did well with the large dog group. She used a crate when we first got her, but we have not used it in some time now. She is truly just a big, goofy dog. She enjoys her daily walks, loves sitting on us and getting lots of pets. She can be mouthy with unfamiliar people at first. Fiona is very treat motivated" Fiona is now waiting for a new home. We are hoping she doesn't have to wait too long! If you'd like to be considered for her, please go to our website and submit our Kodi's Club adoption application. PA License # 18512 Souderton, PA

Story
Meet Ollie – The Compact Rottie With a Big Heart and Even Bigger Personality If you’ve been waiting for a dog who can make you laugh, keep you moving, and then melt into you like a heated blanket… you just found him. Meet Ollie, a now almost-grown (but still adorably compact) Rottweiler mix with all the charm, smarts, and zest for life you could ever want. Ollie has grown up beautifully in foster care and continues to be pure joy wrapped in fur. He’s playful, goofy, social, and deeply loyal to his people — the kind of dog who will trot proudly behind you like he’s your personal bodyguard, then curl up in your arms like an oversized baby when it’s time to relax. Ollie lives with a 3-year-old Rottie foster brother and a 15-year-old senior foster sister, plus two cats. Over time, he’s gotten much better at respecting boundaries. He still plays hard and loves even harder, but he’s learning to pump the brakes when the older or smaller animals say, “Kid, chill.” He’s respectful, eager to please, and adjusts quickly with guidance. Ollie can be described as: an Olympic-level jumper — he still pops straight up in the air like a popcorn kernel. Toy enthusiast — throws his toys for himself, chases them, repeat. Water lover — hoses, sprinklers, kiddie pools… absolutely. Play hard, cuddle harder — he is an elite-level snuggler. People person — he believes strangers are just friends he hasn’t won over yet. Ollie is crate trained, house trained, and very smart. He’s made great strides with impulse control and reading social cues. He thrives with structure and is the perfect match for someone who enjoys a dog with puppy spirit but appreciates the solid foundation he already has. Ollie has a good amount of energy and joy to burn, so a secure, fenced-in yard is a must. He’s at his happiest when he can run freely, bounce around like a spring, and play to his heart’s content. Ollie needs an active, fun, patient human or family who wants a loyal sidekick with a huge heart. Someone who appreciates play, enjoys training, and loves a good cuddle pile at the end of the day. If you’re looking for a well-rounded, affectionate, hilarious pup who brings sunshine everywhere he goes, Ollie is your guy.  If you'd like to be considered to meet him, just submit our application on our website. There are also additional photos and videos there! PA Dog License #18512 Souderton, PA

Story
Meet 2 year old Xena! She may be named after a fierce warrior princess, but this sweet girl is all love, not battle. Xena thrives on affection and praise; and she absolutely deserves it. She’s happiest when she’s with people, playing with toys, running with other dogs, or getting distracted by shiny objects (she will stop whatever she is doing to investigate light reflecting on the floor). This girl is innocence and love. Xena is eager to please and will happily cuddle up for hugs and kisses whenever given the chance. While she shows no signs of aggression, her curiosity about cats and squirrels means a fenced yard is necessary for her. She especially looks forward to her morning and evening walks, which rank right alongside mealtime as her favorite parts of the day. If you'd like to be considered for Xena, just go to www.kodisclub.org/applications and submit the Adoption Application! PA License# 18512 Souderton, PA

Story
This young lad is Beau! Everyone who has met him at the shelter and rescue loves his sweet temperament. Beau was surrendered to the shelter because the owner's landlord did not allow dogs in their residence. Beau is a friendly and loving teenager. He is a strong boy on leash. He would do best in a house with a fenced-in yard at least 4 or 5 ft high. It would be good if he could not see out of the fence. as he is easily distracted and gets fixated on squirrels, bunnies, frogs, deer, or whatever he sees as fun. We can't tell if it's play or prey, but he becomes stimulated and it is hard to break his fixation. He will need Obedience in walking on a leash especially if there are distractions. Beau cannot wait to get his driver's license as he loves to ride in a car. Any car is fine lol, and he will jump into anything with a door open, our vet's van. neighbor's car, Fedex, etc. Once in the car, he settles down for an adventure. He's hoping for employment with Amazon in the future. We are asking for a home for Beau that does not have other animals, or children under 12. While he is not otherwise by nature aggressive, he will guard any high value snack or treat from other animals. As for toys, he will require toys for aggressive chewers and don't assume they will last forever. Black kongs, antlers, marrow bones work, but if there are other animals in the home he will guard these possessions as well, from other animals. He simply prefers not to share! We have not seen the guarding with his caretakers, just other animals. Due to a lack of enough foster homes, Beau is in a boarding kennel with a doggy door. He has kept his kennel clean and always used the doggy door appropriately. While he eats his regular meals peacefully next to the dogs in adjacent kennels, he guards any special treats we may give out. If you believe you meet Beau's criteria for adoption and would like to be considered, please proceed to our website at www.kodisclub.org/applications and submit our application PA License# 18512 Souderton, PA

Story
Norman is a 3.5 year old purebred Rottweiler. He is a sweet dog , loves attention. He does have food and treat aggression. We adopted him from Baltimore when he was 1.5 years old. The previous owners allowed him to get bad habits. We corrected most of them. We have cats that he continues to go after even after 2 years of living in the same house. He has potential to be a really great dog for someone to train better equipped than I. I do love him but I feel he would thrive better in a different environment. Hoping to find someone who will take good care of him.
