Story
Maya is approx 11 months old, 90 pounds, spayed, chipped & UTD on shots. She is now house trained, gets along great with all dogs, big & small, shows no food/treat aggression of any kind. Her previous owners had 2 cats & she was good with them. She lived with young kids (2 under 5) & did great & has done superb with my 13 yr old & his friends too. In short, this girl has NO mean bone in her body with a very mellow demeanor. She is still skeptical about a crate due to having been kenneled 8-10+ hours/day but we’ve been working on that. She does fine loose in the house with the other three dogs I have. She is still very leary about cars after being dumped, but a lil coaxing & loading her up with the others makes it easier. She loves men. A little skeptical around women at first, as she was abused by one but once she warms up, she is just a big fur ball FULL OF LOVE. To adopt Maya, please apply at www.htxdogrescue.org.

Story
Baxter is a 4 year old, 73 lbs, Rottweiler/Lab mix. He was adopted as a puppy and was recently surrendered by his owner due to personal life changes. Baxter is overweight at the moment but he’s getting lots of exercise in his new home chasing after his foster brothers. He’s such a sweet boy and is great with other dogs, house trained, walks well on leash, and is crate trained. Baxter loves to play with toys and chew bones. He does great on car rides. I promise to be by your side, through thick and thin, always ready with a loving nuzzle. Adopting me means welcoming a bundle of joy and loyalty into your life. With me, every day will be filled with fun, love, and endless cuddles. I'm currently foster to adopt as I'm waiting to get spayed. So for now, you can foster me and hopefully fall in love!

Story
King is a great dog that loves to run and play. He has been apart of our family since he was 8 weeks. Currently he is 8 years young. King can sit, shake and stay. He has all his vaccinations with microchip. He does well is other dogs, especially the females. Plus he has been raised around cats. I unfortunately lost my job and we have to downside our home. It's just unfortunate that no one will lease to us because of his breed.

Meet Jewels! Jewels is an independent spirit with a heart as strong as diamonds. She loves her personal space and thrives in a calm, quiet environment where she can feel safe and relaxed. Jewels would shine brightest in a home that offers peaceful surroundings and plenty of one-on-one attention. Jewels is an adult dog with a heart full of love and a spirit that’s as tough as diamonds! While she may enjoy her independence (she’s got that “I do my own thing” vibe), once she bonds with you, get ready for unwavering loyalty and making her an incredible companion. When she’s not basking in her own fabulousness, she’s the best companion you could ask for. Jewels isn’t just a dog; she’s a true friend who’ll always be there for you. If you’re looking for a partner who values her personal space but will shower you with love once you’ve earned it, Jewels is your gal! Adopt Jewels, and get ready for a loyal and totally awesome best friend. If you’re looking for a loyal friend who values her own rhythm and will shower you with love in return, Jewels is the perfect match!
