Story
This gentle Rottie mama came to us after being left behind at BARC when another rescue took her puppy but not her. We couldn’t let that be the end of her story. From the moment we met her, her calm, loving spirit won us over. Ceylon is wonderful with other dogs, confident and loyal — exactly what you’d expect from her breed. She’s well-mannered, keeps her kennel clean, and loves soft affection (and treats!). She’s about 5 years old and would thrive in a home where she can finally relax and be someone’s cherished companion. She is heartworm positive, which is common here, but she’s already in treatment, will be just fine, and it’s not contagious to pets or people. This girl deserves a home, not a kennel. If you’ve ever considered adopting, Ceylon will make it worth your while. Learn more at www.scoutshonor.org .March 8, 2026, 9:28 pm

Story
Delta is a beautiful ~4-year-old Rottweiler who should be closer to 90 lbs - but today she’s just 76 lbs, clearly underweight and recovering from a life that asked far too much of her. She came to us as a stray, but her condition tells a clearer story. We suspect she was used for breeding and then discarded. Despite that, Delta remains incredibly gentle - soft in a way that feels intentional, not broken. She is sweet, quiet, and deeply sensitive. She doesn’t demand attention - she observes, processes, and slowly leans in when she feels safe. It’s subtle, but it’s there. Right now, the world still feels overwhelming. Loud noises startle her, and sudden movement can make her pause. But in a calm, steady environment, she is already beginning to settle. You can see her trying. Nova is not difficult - she’s undernourished, overstimulated, and learning what safety feels like. What Delta needs: A foster or forever home with a calm, low-traffic environment A patient, grounded person who won’t rush her Consistency, structure, and space to decompress Someone who understands that trust is built over time What you’ll get in return: A gentle, loyal companion A dog who will form a deep, meaningful bond The opportunity to watch a dog regain both strength and confidence She will gain weight. She will gain confidence. What matters now is that she gains a safe place to land. Delta is ready—for her forever home.July 3, 2026, 10:57 pm

Good with dogs, Not good with cats, Needs special attention, House-trained, Spayed or Neutered,
Story
My dog had a litter of pups three years ago. All the pups went to homes with an agreement they would live indoors and cared for. My mother "found" someone, her neighbor, to adopt one of the pups. Last year, I was informed the dog has had to stay outside and they have not trained him. His name is Charlie, or as I like to call him "CharChar Binks." He is a sweet boy that needs someone to spend time with him. He has been fixed six 6-9 months, from what I was told My mother brought him back to my home, tied him to the tree and left. She lives 4 hours away. I work 40+ hours a week and am unable to provide him with stable training, and he is trainable. He is a loving pup and needs a place where he can have a backyard or land. Currently, he gets off the doggy run once-twice a week. It is not fair for him. I cannot afford to give him proper time nor care. He is such a sweet boy. He does not do well with cats or chickens. He will chase them. I am desperate to find him a good home.
