Alfie is the golden boy. He’s super sweet and friendly, and at 9YO he deserves somewhere to retire and relax in peace and comfort. He was found as a stray on 4/23 not looking his best. He was missing a lot of fur – particularly along his rump and tail. Poor Alfie was covered in fleas, and was limping on his right rear leg. He also has severe periodontal disease, and his ears had so much wax build up in them that they hurt to be touched. With basic medical care and a little TLC he started looking spiffy in no time! He may be a senior dog, but he’s young at heart when the treats come out! He LOVES his snacks and will jump in excitement for them. He loves to run around the play yard and show off his real goofy nature. He is the sweetest boy and LOVES to give kisses, but is also happy to entertain himself. Alfie is currently staying in a short term foster home where he proved just how much of a good boy he really is. Alfie is potty trained as well as dog, cat, and kid friendly! He loves playing with the other dogs in his foster home, keeping up with the younger puppies without any problems. To Alfie, age is just a number!

Only dog status! Hello, my name is Ellie Benelli! If you are looking to have only 1 dog in your life, I am your girl. I am fine with cats, but not other dogs. I am overall a really sweet girl, and haven’t had any issues when it comes to meeting new people. I would do best in a home with much older children or adults only. I am a curious pup who enjoys being with her family. I don’t mind however, hanging out in my kennel when needed. I am completely crate and house trained! I do have my indestructible crate that will come with me, as I am not a fan of loud noises. Thunder, gun shots, fireworks etc really scare me and I tend to break out of normal crates to try and seek safety. I do love being outside tho! I enjoy running, playing, chasing squirrels and I LOVE the water! I will also play fetch with you for hours if I could! I would make the ideal travel buddy, as I really enjoy car rides and going on new adventures! I do require a secure, fully fenced in yard. My adoption fee is $200 locally in Houston, TX and $350 out of state (includes travel fee and health certificate). I am spayed, microchipped and up to date on all my shots. Maya is approx 11 months old, 90 pounds, spayed, chipped & UTD on shots. She is now house trained, gets along great with all dogs, big & small, shows no food/treat aggression of any kind. Her previous owners had 2 cats & she was good with them. She lived with young kids (2 under 5) & did great & has done superb with my 13 yr old & his friends too. In short, this girl has NO mean bone in her body with a very mellow demeanor. She is still skeptical about a crate due to having been kenneled 8-10+ hours/day but we’ve been working on that. She does fine loose in the house with the other three dogs I have. She is still very leary about cars after being dumped, but a lil coaxing & loading her up with the others makes it easier. Baxter is overweight at the moment but he’s getting lots of exercise in his new home chasing after his foster brothers. Banksy is such a sweet boy. He`s eager to please and loves to be pet. He`ll happily zoom around to amuse himself when left to his own devices, but he`ll settle right down next to your side for as long as you`ll pet him. He loves attention. He`s so friendly and loves everyone! He`s even gotten along well with other dogs. We`re not sure what his life was like before he came into the shelter as a stray on 5/3/23, but based on the fact that he`s missing the top of his right ear we can only assume it was rough. We`re determined to find him a home where he`ll be surrounded by love and he can forget about any hard times. Banksy es un chico muy dulce. Está ansioso por complacer y le encanta que lo acaricien.
