Story
Raven is a gentle soul who`s still learning that people can be trusted. Her world has changed quite a bit over the last year. She first came to us in March 2025 and was adopted, but recently returned to the shelter alongside her canine companions, Storm A048826 and Nala A048828. It`s a lot of change for any dog, and Raven is still adjusting to kennel life.Raven tends to hang back nervously. She’s understandably cautious and likes to keep some distance at first. She does allow gentle pets and quietly accepts affection though. She seems most confident on leash and walks perfectly ladylike on it. Raven is looking for a patient adopter who will give her the time and space she needs to settle in. With stability, kindness, and a chance to decompress, this sweet girl will continue to blossom and show more of her true personality every day.Raven is currently spending some time in a short-term foster home where she has been coming out of her shell more and more each day! She gets along well with the other pets in her foster home (both dogs and cats) and has proven herself to be an amazing companion. She would love to continue to prove just how good of a dog she is in her furever home!

Story
This gentle Rottie mama came to us after being left behind at BARC when another rescue took her puppy but not her. We couldn’t let that be the end of her story. From the moment we met her, her calm, loving spirit won us over. Ceylon is wonderful with other dogs, confident and loyal — exactly what you’d expect from her breed. She’s well-mannered, keeps her kennel clean, and loves soft affection (and treats!). She’s about 5 years old and would thrive in a home where she can finally relax and be someone’s cherished companion. She is heartworm positive, which is common here, but she’s already in treatment, will be just fine, and it’s not contagious to pets or people. This girl deserves a home, not a kennel. If you’ve ever considered adopting, Ceylon will make it worth your while. Learn more at www.scoutshonor.org .March 8, 2026, 9:28 pm

Story
Delta is a beautiful ~4-year-old Rottweiler who should be closer to 90 lbs - but today she’s just 76 lbs, clearly underweight and recovering from a life that asked far too much of her. She came to us as a stray, but her condition tells a clearer story. We suspect she was used for breeding and then discarded. Despite that, Delta remains incredibly gentle - soft in a way that feels intentional, not broken. She is sweet, quiet, and deeply sensitive. She doesn’t demand attention - she observes, processes, and slowly leans in when she feels safe. It’s subtle, but it’s there. Right now, the world still feels overwhelming. Loud noises startle her, and sudden movement can make her pause. But in a calm, steady environment, she is already beginning to settle. You can see her trying. Nova is not difficult - she’s undernourished, overstimulated, and learning what safety feels like. What Delta needs: A foster or forever home with a calm, low-traffic environment A patient, grounded person who won’t rush her Consistency, structure, and space to decompress Someone who understands that trust is built over time What you’ll get in return: A gentle, loyal companion A dog who will form a deep, meaningful bond The opportunity to watch a dog regain both strength and confidence She will gain weight. She will gain confidence. What matters now is that she gains a safe place to land. Delta is ready—for her forever home.August 7, 2026, 3:36 pm

Story
My dog had a litter of pups three years ago. All the pups went to homes with an agreement they would live indoors and cared for. My mother "found" someone, her neighbor, to adopt one of the pups. Last year, I was informed the dog has had to stay outside and they have not trained him. His name is Charlie, or as I like to call him "CharChar Binks." He is a sweet boy that needs someone to spend time with him. He has been fixed six 6-9 months, from what I was told My mother brought him back to my home, tied him to the tree and left. She lives 4 hours away. I work 40+ hours a week and am unable to provide him with stable training, and he is trainable. He is a loving pup and needs a place where he can have a backyard or land. Currently, he gets off the doggy run once-twice a week. It is not fair for him. I cannot afford to give him proper time nor care. He is such a sweet boy. He does not do well with cats or chickens. He will chase them. I am desperate to find him a good home.

Story
Meet LilyPad (Lily)! 🌸Lily is an approximately 4-year-old Rottweiler/Shepherd mix with the sweetest soul. After surviving life on the streets, she’s learning what it means to be loved—and she’s thriving. She’s a dream on a leash, responds beautifully to leash pressure, and has been a wonderful houseguest. Lily loves food, snuggling with her people, and giving the gentlest kisses. She can be a little shy with strangers at first, but with a little patience she blossoms into an incredibly affectionate, loyal companion. Lily does well with other dogs but should be fed separately due to some food insecurity from her past.Lily is spayed, up to date on all vaccinations, and will come with a month’s worth of food. Our priority is finding her the perfect forever home, so all adopters will be carefully vetted. If you’re looking for a gentle, loving best friend, Lily is waiting to meet you.

Story
Lionel came into the shelter pretty shy and scared, but give him a little patience, you`ll get to watch something special: confidence slowly start to shine. This handsome Doberman Pinscher mix puppy came to the shelter with his siblings, Lana A053937 and Lorenzo A053902. When you first meet Lionel, he`s likely to hang back and take everything in from a safe distance. He`s a quiet observer who prefers to move at his own pace.Once he gets outside and realizes there`s no pressure, Lionel starts to show his curious side. He enjoys wandering around, sniffing all the new smells, and exploring the world one cautious step at a time. He`s happiest when he`s given a little space to figure things out for himself. As he becomes more comfortable, his tail started wagging more and more, and he happily accepted gentle pets, soaking up the kindness even if he wasn`t quite ready to ask for it.Right now, Lionel is focused on learning that people can be safe, gentle, and fun to be around. Sometimes the quietest puppies have the biggest transformations, and Lionel is ready for someone to help him discover just how brave he can be.

Story
Lana is a beautiful Doberman Pinscher puppy who`s still learning about the world. She was found with her brothers Lorenzo A053902 and Lionel A053930. She`s a shy little girl who takes her time warming up, but after a moment of patience, you’ll see her sweetness shine through. At first she likes to dart away from you, but she quickly gains confidence and will take treats gently from your hand. Lana enjoys wandering around, sniffing everything, and taking in her surroundings.Lana is still working on building her leash skills. At the moment she prefers to be carried, but with practice and patience she’s sure to learn how to walk on leash quickly. She’s looking for an adopter that understands that progress comes one small step at a time. With kindness, consistency, and a little patience, this sweet puppy has all the potential to blossom into a loyal, loving companion. If you have room in your heart for a timid pup who just needs someone to believe in her, Lana is ready to start her journey with you.
