From the moment we met her, her calm, loving spirit won us over. Ceylon is wonderful with other dogs, confident and loyal — exactly what you’d expect from her breed. She’s well-mannered, keeps her kennel clean, and loves soft affection (and treats!). She’s about 5 years old and would thrive in a home where she can finally relax and be someone’s cherished companion. She is heartworm positive, which is common here, but she’s already in treatment, will be just fine, and it’s not contagious to pets or people. This girl deserves a home, not a kennel. Banksy is such a sweet boy. He`s eager to please and loves to be pet. He`ll happily zoom around to amuse himself when left to his own devices, but he`ll settle right down next to your side for as long as you`ll pet him. He loves attention. He`s so friendly and loves everyone! He’s done well around children, even gotten along well with other dogs. He love attending in shelter playgroups and has proven that he’s great at reading other dogs’ social cues. If they want him to take it easy he will, but if they want him to play rough and rowdy he can do that too! We`re not sure what his life was like before he came into the shelter as a stray on 5/3/23, but based on the fact that he`s missing the top of his right ear we can only assume it was rough. We`re determined to find him a home where he`ll be surrounded by love and he can forget about any hard times.

She may pause or need a little encouragement at times, but she quickly bounces back with excitement. She takes treats nicely and seems to know a little bit of “sit,” though with her playful personality staying still is still a work in progress.
