This gentle Rottie mama came to us after being left behind at BARC when another rescue took her puppy but not her. We couldn’t let that be the end of her story. From the moment we met her, her calm, loving spirit won us over. Ceylon is wonderful with other dogs, confident and loyal — exactly what you’d expect from her breed. She’s well-mannered, keeps her kennel clean, and loves soft affection (and treats!). She’s about 5 years old and would thrive in a home where she can finally relax and be someone’s cherished companion. She is heartworm positive, which is common here, but she’s already in treatment, will be just fine, and it’s not contagious to pets or people. This girl deserves a home, not a kennel. Lola is the sweetest and kindest friend who only wishes to love you at all times. We are currently looking for any loving and patient persons/families to take in the 7 year old boxer mix. We are fostering her for a friend due to potential signs of jealousy (before, Lola was very protective of the baby), there was no harm but they did not want to take any chances. She is very friendly to all and loves to play, especially with rope toys. She will stick to you like tape and will want to be by your side almost all the time. She is house trained, knows the “sit, stay, lay down” command and responds to her name (Does need practice).
