Bennington is a Sharpei mix weighing about 65 pounds.As many Sharpeis do, he had some issues with his eye lids and had surgery to correct that while in rescue. All went very well and he's fully healed and ready to see the world.Bennington is a wonderful dog! He's happy-go-lucky, loving and very loyal. He's house trained and has been a joy to be around in his foster home. He's very well behaved. He's athletic and strong and would love to go on hikes and walks with you. Camping also sounds like fun!We think he would be happiest as your one and only pet. Bennington is neutered, vet checked, current on vaccines, licensed and microchipped. Since being in our care, she has thrived with love, proper nutrition and even professional training. Nova needs to be your one and only queen of the castle (as she deserves!), as she is a bit more of an independent spirit. Our volunteers and staff love her; they describe her as a sweet, playful and smart. She loves going for walks, taking car rides and running after tennis balls and frisbees. As a professionally-trained dog, Nova has excellent leash and door manners, mastered crate- and potty-training and knows basic commands. Her independent nature makes her a perfect pup for someone who may not be home as often, as she does well hanging out quietly at home. Bugger was a gift from abusive ex boyfriend. He doesn't warm up to men for a long time. He is terrified of anyone yelling or loud. He will shake and tremble or run and hide. He has a nervous shake. He loves women, has slept with me his entire life. Bed hog, has to be touching me Food is his favorite thing in life. Loves to swim but doesn't like a bath. He calms himself by sucking on soft blanket. Finding some place to live with a Pitty has proven next to impossible. I work full time & spends all day on my bed waiting for me. I can no longer arrange my life around him. The last 4 yrs I have lived in scary places just so I could keep him. I can't do it anymore or afford it. He has been thru a lot with me, is my best friend. I am crying while writing this. I am really torn as to what to do. He would be better with another dog. Has always been only dog but would be happier if he had a friend. I have spoiled him him. Walks without leash, not a runner or aggressive with anything. He's 9.
