Bennington is a Sharpei mix weighing about 65 pounds.As many Sharpeis do, he had some issues with his eye lids and had surgery to correct that while in rescue. All went very well and he's fully healed and ready to see the world.Bennington is a wonderful dog! He's happy-go-lucky, loving and very loyal. He's house trained and has been a joy to be around in his foster home. He's very well behaved. He's athletic and strong and would love to go on hikes and walks with you. Camping also sounds like fun!We think he would be happiest as your one and only pet. Bennington is neutered, vet checked, current on vaccines, licensed and microchipped. Our cats have been confined to one room for months while we’ve tried everything possible to find Boa the right home and it’s beginning to negatively impact their health. We simply can’t continue asking them to live this way.Boa was rescued earlier this year after wandering onto a property in Southern Baja starving, injured, and covered in infected wounds. He has come so unbelievably far. I desperately don’t want his incredible story to lead him to being surrendered to a shelter.

We have an almost 5-year-old spayed English bulldog girl. She's the sweetest little cuddler and a huge couch potato. She'll go on walks, but only short ones before she's simply done. She loves car rides too, but gets so excited she wears herself out fast lol. We're looking to possibly rehome her. Looking for right fit. She's started resource guarding my husband and fighting our other dog over him, and we haven't been able to break it. We've been keeping them separated to avoid rehoming, but now she's starting to go after our cats too. So she needs a home with no cats and no other dogs. She's been fine around young kids, but she doesn't always realize how rough she plays. Teens would be best, since they can tell when she's getting too rowdy and end play time. She knows to stop when she's told. She's trained - knows sit, wait, and leave it. Kennel trained and uses a dog door. She doesn't bark much unless something scary is around, like bubble wrap, which she hates lol.

Hi there, future family! My name is Lafonda, and oh boy, do I have a tail‑wagging story to tell you. I’ve been waiting a long time to share it with the special humans who will someday call me their own. Maybe—just maybe—that’s you. I’m about four years old, which means I’ve got the perfect mix of youthful pep and grown‑up charm. Back in June of 2025, I was picked up as a stray in Yuma. I don’t remember much about how I ended up on my own, but I do remember how relieved I was when kind people scooped me up and kept me safe. I spent some time at the pound there, dreaming of the day someone would walk in, point at me, and say, “That’s the one.” It didn’t happen then… but that’s okay, because my journey wasn’t over. Now I’m living my best temporary life at Central Arizona Animal Rescue, and let me tell you—I’m soaking up all the love, treats, and playtime I can get. Still, every night when I curl up to sleep, I imagine what it will feel like to finally have a forever home. A place where I can stretch out on a soft bed, chase toys across the yard, and follow my humans around like the loyal shadow I’m destined to be. Let’s talk about the elephant in the room—or rather, the bald spot on my head. Yep, I’ve got one! When I was found, I had a wound there, but it’s all healed up now. The hair just never grew back, so I rock a permanent little shiny patch. Personally, I think it adds character. Some dogs have fancy markings; I have a built‑in conversation starter. It makes me unique, memorable, and honestly kind of adorable. I’m all up to date on my vaccinations, and I’ve been microchipped so I’ll never get lost again. That part is really important to me. After spending who‑knows‑how‑long wandering alone, the idea of always being connected to my people feels like the warmest, safest hug. Now, let’s get to the fun stuff—my personality. If you’re looking for a couch potato, I’m probably not your girl. I’m an active, playful, goofy, boxer‑mix bundle of energy. I love to run, jump, wiggle, and especially play fetch. Oh, fetch. My absolute favorite. Throw the ball once, and I’ll think you’re neat. Throw it twice, and I’ll think you’re amazing. Throw it three times, and I’ll love you forever. I adore people. Hanging out with humans is one of my top hobbies. Whether you’re relaxing, working in the yard, or just wandering around the house, I’m happiest when I’m part of the action. I’m loyal, affectionate, and always ready to brighten your day with a tail wag or a goofy grin. I do need to mention one thing: I’m not good with cats. My name is Manny, and I'm hoping that somewhere out there is a person or family looking for a best friend just like me. Before you meet me, I'd love to tell you a little about my story. Life didn't start out very easy for me and my brothers. We spent our early puppy months living in a van with our owner. Five of us puppies were crowded together in a small kennel that was dirty, cramped, and far from the kind of place where puppies should grow up. We were underweight, suffering from mange, and had never received proper veterinary care. At the time, I didn't know life could be different. Then one day, everything changed. A kind woman from Pets to Vets, a pet transportation company, arrived to transport us to a boarding facility while our owner was hospitalized. When she saw the condition we were in, she knew we needed help. Instead of looking the other way, she became the first person to give us a real chance. At the boarding facility, a veterinarian treated our mange and gave us our first vaccinations. For the first time, people were helping us heal. A few days later, our owner returned and took our mother home, leaving the rest of us behind. That could have been the end of our story. Instead, it became the beginning of a much better one. The wonderful woman from Pets to Vets opened her heart and her home to all of us. Suddenly, we had room to run and play. We slept on clean bedding, enjoyed regular meals, and discovered what it felt like to simply be puppies. We learned that people could be gentle, caring, and trustworthy. As time went on, caring foster families stepped up to help us while we searched for forever homes. They quickly noticed something special about my brothers and me. Even though we had spent much of our lives hungry, we never fought over food. We happily eat side by side, share bowls, and switch places during meals without a fuss. Somehow, despite a difficult beginning, we remained friendly, trusting, and full of love. That's exactly the kind of dog I am today. I'm a sweet, affectionate young pup who loves attention and enjoys being around people. Whether we're going for a walk, playing in the yard, or relaxing on the couch, I'm happiest when I'm spending time with my humans. I have a playful side, but I also appreciate a good nap and plenty of cuddle time. There is one unique thing about me that people often notice right away: my tail has a bend in it from an old break. The truth is, nobody knows exactly how it happened. It's possible I was born that way, or it may have occurred sometime during my early life before I was rescued. Whatever the cause, it doesn't slow me down one bit. In fact, my tail wags just fine, and many people think it adds a little extra character to my handsome appearance! My mange is healing beautifully, and my coat continues to grow back every day. Those lighter patches you may see in my photos are simply areas where my fur is returning. I've received veterinary care, vaccinations, a microchip, and I've already been neutered thanks to the kindness of people who wanted to give me the best possible start on my new life. Now I'm ready to find what I've been waiting for all along: a family of my own. I'm not looking for perfection. I don't care if your house is big or small. I don't need expensive toys or fancy treats. What matters most to me is having people who will love me, keep me safe, and make me part of their family forever. Maybe you're looking for a hiking buddy. Maybe you're searching for a couch companion to watch movies with. Maybe your kids are hoping for a dog they can grow up with. Or maybe you simply want a loyal friend who will greet you with excitement every single time you walk through the door. If you can offer love, patience, and a permanent place in your heart, I promise I'll do my very best to return that love every day for the rest of my life.
