HOMEOWNERSHIP REQUIRED!  Meet Burrow the Shar Pei!  Hello there! My name is Burrow, and I'm a one-year-old Shar Pei with a heart full of love and a knack for Feng Shui! I've been on quite an adventure so far, and now I'm looking for a forever home where I can share all my puppy love. I'm your typical Shar Pei puppy—lazy yet playful. I enjoy running around and having fun with my foster siblings, but I also know the importance of taking relaxing naps in the warm sun. Speaking of Feng Shui, I've got a little talent for it—I like to rearrange shoes to bring love and luck into your home (although I promise, I haven't chewed any!). While I'm still young and learning, I haven't had much formal training yet. I'm currently working on my leash manners and learning basic commands like "sit" (especially when blueberries are involved—I can't resist!). Every day, I'm improving and learning a lot at my foster home. I'm a social butterfly who adores people, and I'm great with potty training and other dogs. I dream of finding a family who will cuddle with me and shower me with kisses—I have plenty of those to give in return! I'm up to date on vaccinations, neutered, and microchipped. Interested in meeting me, apply today! Adoption fee includes the following: Spay/Neuter Rabies Vaccination Distemper / Parvo Vaccines (includes series of 3 for puppies) Bordetella Microchip with prepaid lifetime registration Deworming ##2101762##

Story
Yoda was rescued from a shelter in New Mexico. Meet and greets are by appointment only.  An approved application is required to schedule a meeting. Check out our events page for upcoming open adoption events! We have no additional back story or update for this dog at this time.  When we do, it will be updated here.  This is all the information we have currently. Approved Applicants may make the adoption fee payment by clicking donate above.  Partial adoption fees will not hold a dog. Dogs adopted with our rescue come with FREE training from #GoodPup to help you build strong bonds from the start! If upon meeting the dog of your choosing at your scheduled pickup time you find that you aren't a good match, your deposit will be fully refunded. Adoption fees include vaccines up until time of adoption, microchip, spay/neuter and 1st 30 days of free Pet insurance.  We are not affiliated with Pet First pet insurance. (you have to sign up for the insurance or it will not go into effect).  Adoption fees help cover the medical care of the animals while he or she waits for a new home, as well as food and transportation costs. These fees help to provide care for the other animals in the shelter or rescue group who may have medical bills that are much higher than any possible adoption fee. The money also acts as a donation to help support the organization as a whole, allowing the group to continue its efforts to rescue and rehome pets. The dogs in our care are fostered in Colorado, Texas, and New Mexico.  While all dogs are picked up during our scheduled times, sometimes transport dates change due to unforeseen circumstances.   More questions?  Read our FAQs here: https://4p4l.org/faqs/  Breed labels are a "best guess" by a shelter veterinarian and cannot be guaranteed.  A new study has concluded that (in layman's terms), breed assumption is NOT indicative of behavior in mixed breed dogs.  Therefore, if a dog looks presumably to be a German Shepherd breed, one cannot assume the dog will have a high prey drive.  From the study: "Although many physical traits were associated with breeds, behavior was much more variable among individual dogs. In general, physical trait heritability was a greater predictor of breed but was not necessarily a predictor of breed ancestry in mutts. Among behavioral traits, biddability—how well dogs respond to human direction—was the most heritable by breed but varied significantly among individual dogs. Thus, dog breed is generally a poor predictor of individual behavior and should not be used to inform decisions relating to selection of a pet dog" - https://www.science.org/doi/10.1126/science.abk0639 ##2124253##

Story
I’m Lady Bunny, a wee (for now) 2 month old female Sharpei - American Pit Bull Terrier mix. Aren’t I just the cutest baby hippo?!? I will be getting treated for “cherry eye” (the protruding third eyelid gland, which I hear is a common and resolvable issue). Meanwhile, I am making human and canine friends, learning how to dog from my foster-bro, enjoy hamming things up in the sun, not a fan of foster-bro sniffing my nibbles, enjoyed my bath, find teething on sticks irresistible, and love joining the party (don’t mind if I do). ********PLEASE READ BELOW PRIOR TO EMAILING IN**********If you are interested in adopting this dog or any other from our rescue, please go to https://www.hobocare.org/adopt to review our home requirements and fill out an application. Please do not email and ask for more information on how to adopt, all the information is already available online. The information you see here is all that is currently available about this dog. No boxers are adopted without a completed application and home check. Thank you! ##2083607##

Meet Charming! Char, Charmy, Buddy, Boy - whatever you decide to call him, he will come running to you with his floppy ears, rolls and with the biggest grin on his face! Charming has picked up potty training well and sleeps through the night on the floor next to you; he's quick to learn! He walks great and loves stopping for a mid walk grass break. Charming plays well with other dogs (all sizes) and enjoys snuggling up with you on the couch nestled in with a blanket. He is smart, resourceful and loyal. Anyone would be lucky to have this hunk of rolls as their next best friend! ##2072640##
