Story
Summer is a delightful medium-sized mix who is eagerly searching for her forever home! This gentle girl has a calm and loving disposition that makes her the perfect companion for a serene household. She can be a bit shy at first, so any kids in the home should be old enough to go slow with her in the beginning. Once she warms up, which doesn`t take long, she is a total sweethear! She is incredibly gentle and affectionate, always ready for a cuddle or a quiet moment by your side. Her calm demeanor makes her an excellent companion for anyone seeking a peaceful and loving dog! What I Need In a Home:* Older children recommended

Story
Meet Piglet At around 4 years old, this spayed female Shar Pei has fully embraced her role as royalty—and she expects you to do the same. Piglet is the unquestioned queen of her foster home and has her foster dad completely wrapped around her paw. On chilly Colorado nights, she doesn’t bark or beg… she simply gives him the look, and up he goes to switch on her heated blanket. As it should be. Piglet’s journey hasn’t always been so glamorous. She came to us nearly hairless due to severe neglect. Over the past three months, with proper care and lots of love, her coat has slowly started to grow back in—but she still has a long road ahead of her. Piglet will need a home with shar pei experience, committed to continuing her medical care and giving her the extra attention she deserves. She may be a bit high maintenance, but don’t worry—she promises she’s absolutely worth it. And oh, is she ever. Piglet gives the very best “gnome kisses” (you’ll know when you get one!) and her whole body wiggles with joy when she’s happy—which is often. Beneath her royal expectations is a deeply affectionate, resilient girl who just wants to be cherished and comfortable. If you’re ready to serve a tiny, wrinkly queen with a big personality and an even bigger heart, Piglet is ready to rule your home.  February 12, 2026, 2:49 pm

Story
Meet this handsome 1-year-old Shar Pei Neutered, house-broken, and ready to steal your heart! This sweet boy is outgoing, playful, and full of happy energy. He loves romping around with other dogs and would be thrilled to have a canine buddy to pal around with. When playtime is over, he’s all about affection—if you’re within reach, chances are you’re getting a kiss (or five). He’d do best in a home without the hustle and bustle of children, where things are a bit calmer and he can soak up all the attention. With his loving nature, goofy charm, and excellent house manners, he’s the kind of dog who quickly becomes your shadow and your best friend. If you’re looking for a fun-loving companion who believes there’s no such thing as too many kisses, this Shar Pei is ready to meet you. February 9, 2026, 11:54 am

Story
Meet Kiko Kiko is a 2-year-old neutered male with a coat as unique as his personality—shifting between a gorgeous gray and warm brown depending on the light. He’s truly a handsome boy who turns heads wherever he goes. True to his Shar Pei nature, Kiko can be a little standoffish when you first meet him. He likes to take his time getting to know new people, but give him a few days and you’ll see his loyal, affectionate side shine through. Once you’re in his circle, you’re in for good. Kiko is wonderfully well-mannered. He does great in a kennel and can be trusted to free roam the house when left alone. Currently fostered with four other dogs, he gets along well with canine companions—especially those who match his laid-back vibe. Kiko believes most things are “a tomorrow problem” and would thrive in a mellow home with easygoing dog friends who move at his pace. He enjoys leisurely walks where he can take in the world around him, and he absolutely loves sunbathing outside—give him a warm patch of sunshine and he’s one happy boy. Because loud, sudden noises can startle him, Kiko would do best in a home without the hustle and bustle of young children. A calm, steady environment will help him feel safe and allow his sweet personality to fully blossom. If you’re looking for a loyal, low-key companion with a soulful gaze and a heart of gold, Kiko just might be your perfect match. February 12, 2026, 2:49 pm

Story
Osito (Oso) is a one-year-old Shar-Pei mix whose name means “little bear,” and it fits him perfectly. He is 100% a little bear—soft, squishy, and an absolute mush ball at heart. Meet Osito, aka Oso, truly lives up to his name—he’s a little bear with the gentlest soul. Oso is incredibly kind and loving, and he absolutely adores other dogs. Having a canine companion is a must for him, as he feels most secure and confident when another dog is around. With a dog friend by his side, he does great being left home and settles in happily. Oso didn’t have an easy start to life. He spent his early days living chained up in a backyard, and when he was finally surrendered, he immediately needed entropion surgery to relieve the pain he’d been living with. Despite everything he’s been through, Oso is incredibly gentle, trusting, and full of love. His resilience is just as beautiful as his sweet heart. Oso is doing really well with cats, too. Occasionally he may show interest in chasing, but he responds well to a firm “no” and typically respects their space. He loves going on walks and enjoys exploring the world, though he can pull a bit at first. With a martingale collar, he does very well. He’s a sensitive boy who can be a little nervous when meeting new people, especially men, but he warms up more quickly to women and continues to build confidence with patience and kindness. Like many young dogs, he may nibble on unattended items (shoes beware!), but as long as the basics are picked up and he has a nylon bone and a dog buddy, he’s perfectly content. Oso is incredibly sweet, deeply affectionate, and a total heartbreaker. I promise—you will fall in love with him the moment you meet him. If you’re looking for a calm, affectionate companion with a teddy-bear soul, Osito might just be your perfect match You can email Info@lolasrescue.com anytime with questions pertaining to animals in our care.  ##2596152##

Story
Rango is a doll. He is an approximately three-year-old neutered male. He was abandoned when his former owners moved, and then ended up at the shelter on the euthanasia list. We got additional info on him from the people’s former neighbors, and they said that he’s lived with kids and has been good with small dogs too. He’s great in the car, good on leash. He is very easy going and has done really well with the other dogs he’s interacted with.   Apply online at www.lolasrescue.com/available-animals please note if you utilize an Iphone there are two scroll bars on the side of the screen to scroll down through available animals.   You can email Info@lolasrescue.com anytime with questions pertaining to animals in our care.  ##2644326##

Story
Meet my sweet girl — a Christmas miracle born on December 25, 2016! My family and I brought her home as an adorable 2-month-old puppy, and she’s been the light of our lives ever since. Now 9 years young, she’s still full of puppy energy: super playful, hyper, and incredibly active — she loves zoomies, chasing toys, and turning every walk into an adventure! 🐶✨ She’s the most affectionate, loyal companion you could ask for, always ready for cuddles after playtime and quick to make you smile with her goofy antics. And yes, she’s fully kennel/crate trained — she sees her crate as her cozy safe space for relaxing or when her humans are away, which makes life easier for everyone. Her one little quirk? She’s scared of just about everything 😂— new people, loud noises, even the occasional plastic bag — but with patience and a calm, loving approach, she warms up and shows her true sweet, trusting side. She just needs someone who understands that and gives her time to feel safe.
