However, Wyoming can be anxious and reactive when guests come over or when someone approaches the door, so he would do best in a calm home with minimal foot traffic and visitors. He’s not the right fit for a busy household, especially one with young kids — we have two under two, and while Wyoming has been patient, they’re too young to understand boundaries, and he gets uncomfortable when they’re in his space. Wyoming would thrive in a home with adults or older children who can respect his need for personal space. He could also benefit from some additional training to help build his confidence and comfort around new people. Wyoming has so much love to give and will be a wonderful companion in the right, understanding home

Barkley is an approximately 1 year old Shar Pei mix. He is neutered, up to date on all of his vaccines and testing! Barkley is eligible for foster-to-adopt or adoption. Barkley is OK with cats, and LOVES to play with other dogs! We believe he would do well in a home with either or both! When he wants something, he can nip lightly at your ankles, and he is working on stopping that behavior, but for that reason, we do not suggest he go to a home with young children. His foster mom describes his temperament as good natured. She says he working on crate training now; he doesn’t like being crated and makes a fuss for five minutes or so, then is quiet. He is smart and eager to please. He does well walking on the leash with minimal pulling. With time and consistency, Shar Pei puppy Barkley will be the perfect addition to any home!
