Story
Meet Aggie, a 6-year-old, 34-pound Shar Pei with a soft heart hidden beneath those beautiful wrinkles. Aggie is naturally timid and unsure about new people, but if you sit quietly with her, she slowly begins to trust—offering gentle kisses and allowing pets. She’s a curious girl who likes to quietly follow her humans around the house, making her a sweet, silent shadow during daily activities. Aggie would thrive with a confident canine companion who can help show her that people are safe. She’s beginning to explore toys, and we think she’ll discover her playful side with a little more time.Aggie also has some classic “wrinkly dog” skin sensitivities and will need an owner who can help her care for her coat and keep her comfortable. This tender-hearted girl just needs patience, love, and stability to truly shine.Walk-ins are available from Tuesday to Friday from 1:00 PM - 6:00 PM. Saturday and Sundays have walk-in hours from noon to 4 PM. The best way to get in touch with us is by email: info@secondchancespca.org. Due to the volume of calls, only the most urgent calls will be returned. For information regarding the adoption process please visit our website or read the information below THANK YOU.ADOPTION PROCESS: If you are interested in adopting from Second ChanceSPCA, please come during open hours. Story
Scrappy, about 50 lbs About me: My wrinkles may be minimal, but my heart is huge. I'm playful, affectionate, and always down to make new dog friends or join a game in the yard. But my real love language? Finding the coziest heated blanket in the house and melting into it like the snuggle champion I am. I'll happily switch between playmate and professional cuddle buddy — whatever you need. My résumé: House trained ✅ Know sit, lay down, stay, and leave it ✅ Great with kids ✅ Self-appointed security guard — I take 'protect and serve' seriously and have been known to hop the child gate to greet visitors myself, especially new ones. (The gardeners are still on my watch list, sorry not sorry.) A few honest quirks, because I believe in full transparency on the first date: I pull a little on the leash (working on it). Car rides aren't my favorite — I'll whine the whole way, but I'm otherwise a good passenger. Thunderstorms make me nervous. Baths make me an Olympic sprinter, so we've switched to waterless ones. I can be crated, but I don't really enjoy it and tend to rub my nose. Lately I've just been hanging out loose on dog beds in the living room (and sneaking onto the big bed at night — don't tell). Looking for: Someone who'll keep a close eye on me (I'll be doing the same for you), doesn't mind a co-pilot who narrates every car ride, and has unlimited compliments about how handsome I am. Bonus points for belly rubs. Swipe right and fill out an adoption application if you're ready to be loved fiercely and guarded loyally.  Fostering in the greater Dallas areaAugust 19, 2026, 5:48 pm

Story
I’m the longest resident at the shelter, since February 2025. When I first arrived, I was underweighting and had a pretty bad skin infection. I’m now receiving treatment and an special diet to help me feel my very best and I’m currently in a foster home where I’m getting the love and care I deserve. I’m a very sweet, playful boy who’s ready to find a forever home that will love and take care of me.  I’m mostly indifferent just a little shy around cats. More than anything, I want a family who will give me the security, kindness, and fun I’ve been waiting so long for.” Mason is currently in a foster home please call the shelter at 972-744-4480 or email AskRichardsonAnimalServices@cor.gov to learn more and schedule a meet and greet with him!August 19, 2026, 3:11 pm

Story
DNA results are in for Tater and he is 61% Bulldog along with small percentages of 12 other breeds. Tater is a loyal, loving dog who’s happiest just being near his people. He is fantastic with kids and forms strong bonds with his people. Tater enjoys daily walks and does well on a leash. He’s potty trained, kennel trained, and has full run of his foster home because he’s respectful and non-destructive. He’s an easy dog to live with and loves a calm routine where he can relax and spend time with his humans. Tater would do best as the only pet, as he can be selective with other dogs. Tater is 5½ years old and weighs 55 lbs. If you are interested in adopting Tater, please submit an application at www.rescuerowinc.org *Please check your junk email folder if you do not receive a response from a Rescue Row member within 2-4 business days.*You must live within an hour of the DFW Metroplex because we do trial adoptions and require a homecheck*Our adoption fees are as follows (paid by cash or a check made out to Rescue Row):Dogs 12 weeks-6 months old: $300 adoption feeDogs 7 months and older: $275 adoption feeRescue Row is a 501(c)3 (non-profit) all volunteer dog rescue organization serving the DFW Metroplex. We are dedicated to rescuing dogs in shelters, dogs in abusive or neglectful situations, and dogs surrendered by their owners because of difficult circumstances. We place dogs in loving, responsible, committed permanent homes, following a comprehensive adoption process, which includes taking considerable care in finding good matches and educating prospective adopters about the responsibilities and costs of bringing a dog into their homes and lives. Dogs in our care are spayed or neutered, microchipped, receive all appropriate veterinary care and treatment, and placed in nurturing foster homes while they await placement in their permanent homes. We assist dogs in distress without regard to age, breed or ease of placement. Dogs in the greatest need take priority. Finally, we strive to work with shelters and other rescue and humane organizations to develop a network of supporters and volunteers in order to create a better world for homeless dogs. ##949210##

Story
Sadie's new BIO and some pics: Meet Sadie, a 1 year old, 70-pound bundle of joy who is ready to find her forever home! This gorgeous girl is the perfect mix of playful athlete and world-class snuggler. She is fully potty trained, kennel trained (she happily eats, sleeps, and waits for treats in her private suite), and is good on a leash. Sadie adores her people, wears her emotions on her sleeve, and will even "talk" to you when she has something important to share! Because she’s a big girl, she’d do best in a home with a yard (any size)to stretch her legs, older kids, or a playful friend who enjoys a good wrestling match. Sadie is an excellent watch-dog who only barks when there's a good reason, though she can be bashful around sudden, loud noises. If you’re looking for a loyal companion who will guard your heart and keep you laughing, Sadie is your girl!

Story
Harley is a smart, treat-motivated girl who enjoys learning and is always eager to please. She is potty trained and will let you know when she needs to go outside by barking and heading to the door. She has experience sleeping both in a kennel and outside of one at night and settles in well at home. This sweet girl loves walks, car rides, toys, and spending time with her people. She also enjoys playing with other dogs and would likely do best with a medium to large playful canine companion. Harley has a playful, mouthy play style and is continuing to work on her manners, so a home without children under 13 years of age would be best. Harley can be sensitive to noises at times, and shy when she first meets someone new, but she has gained confidence and improved significantly while in foster care. She has never shown aggression and continues to make great progress as she learns that the world is a safe place. Harley is a 4 year old Pit Bull Terrier/Bulldog/American Staffordshire Terrier mix who is ready to find her forever family. To apply to adopt Harley, please complete an adoption application at www.rescuerowinc.org Due to her breed makeup, no apartments please. *Please check your junk email folder if you do not receive a response from a Rescue Row member within 48 hours. *You must live within an hour of the DFW Metroplex because we do trial adoptions and require a homecheck *Our adoption fees are as follows (paid by cash or a check made out to Rescue Row): Dogs 12 weeks-6 months old: $300 adoption fee  Dogs 7 months and older: $275 adoption fee  Rescue Row is a 501(c)3 (non-profit) all volunteer dog rescue organization serving the DFW Metroplex.
