Meet Aggie, a 6-year-old, 34-pound Shar Pei with a soft heart hidden beneath those beautiful wrinkles. Aggie is naturally timid and unsure about new people, but if you sit quietly with her, she slowly begins to trust—offering gentle kisses and allowing pets.She’s a curious girl who likes to quietly follow her humans around the house, making her a sweet, silent shadow during daily activities. Aggie would thrive with a confident canine companion who can help show her that people are safe. She’s beginning to explore toys, and we think she’ll discover her playful side with a little more time.Aggie also has some classic “wrinkly dog” skin sensitivities and will need an owner who can help her care for her coat and keep her comfortable. This tender-hearted girl just needs patience, love, and stability to truly shine.Walk-ins are available from Tuesday to Friday from 1:00 PM - 6:00 PM. Adopters will visit with an adoption counselor and complete a short application. Adopters must live within the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex and be at least 21 years old. Renters must provide proof of pet deposit and/or written permission by landlord to have a pet.ADOPTION FEES: Includes spay/neuter, age appropriate vaccinations, microchip, fecal, and heartworm test (dogs) or FeLV/FIV test (cats). All cats and dogs are current on heartworm and flea preventative. $275 for puppies under 6 months of age and $225 for dogs older than 6 months. $175 for kittens under 6 months of age and $150 for cats older than 6 months.

At around 50 pounds, this lovable pup is still just a baby at heart – playful, social, and full of goofy charm. Turbo’s previous owner cared deeply about him and made the tough decision to surrender him so he could get the eye care he needs. He is neutered, fully vaccinated, microchipped, and more than ready to meet his forever family. &#226&#156&#168 Special Needs, Special Pup: Turbo has a condition called Corneal Endothelial Dystrophy, which causes cloudiness in the eyes as certain cells slowly die off over time. Tater has been doing very well in his foster home since being returned to our care after four years. Over the past couple of weeks, we’ve gotten to know him again, and one thing is clear—he is an incredibly sweet and loving dog. Tater is well-behaved, quiet, and laid-back. He was returned because he began guarding his adopters from the other dog in the home, whom he had lived with since puppyhood. We offered to send a trainer, but after learning they had moved to Ohio, it became clear that long-distance support wouldn’t be an option. Given how long this behavior has gone unaddressed, we believe Tater would do best as an only dog. That said, Tater enjoys going on walks, does well on a leash, and is not reactive to other dogs. He loves people, including children, and is both house trained and crate trained. Tater is a 4 1/2 year old English Bulldog/Pit Bull mix. We assist dogs in distress without regard to age, breed or ease of placement. Dogs in the greatest need take priority.
