?? SPECIAL REQUEST: ? Please share Dawson’s story everywhere and help us find his forever family — it takes a village.??Dawson has been with us since September 18, 2024, and it’s time this sweet boy finally gets the happy ending he deserves. ??He’s a 4-year-old bundle of affection who’s crate trained, loves to roll in the grass, splash in the pool, and soak up every bit of love he can get. Dawson is also great with kids and the perfect size — not too big, not too small, just right for couch cuddles and backyard play! He’s good with cats and has done well with confident female dogs, but he’d thrive as the only dog in the home. He’s still working on potty training, but with patience and love, he’s coming along. We know his perfect person (or family!) is out there — we just need your help reaching them.?? Story
Meet Onyx, a 2-year-old Shar Pei with a heart as soft as her velvety wrinkles. This sweet girl may start out shy, but once she feels safe, she blossoms into the most loving companion. Her favorite way to say “I trust you” is with gentle, enthusiastic kisses — and once she starts, she doesn’t stop.   Onyx is the quiet, gentle soul who will follow you from room to room, curl up nearby, and nudge your hand for affection when she’s ready. She’s looking for a patient, loving home that will let her warm up at her own pace and celebrate every little step she takes.   If you’re searching for a loyal, tender-hearted companion, Onyx is ready to shower you with all the kisses she’s been saving.  She is fostering in the Dallas, TX area.    December 1, 2025, 3:01 pm

Story
Meet Aggie, a 6-year-old, 34-pound Shar Pei with a soft heart hidden beneath those beautiful wrinkles. Aggie is naturally timid and unsure about new people, but if you sit quietly with her, she slowly begins to trust—offering gentle kisses and allowing pets. She’s a curious girl who likes to quietly follow her humans around the house, making her a sweet, silent shadow during daily activities. Aggie would thrive with a confident canine companion who can help show her that people are safe. She’s beginning to explore toys, and we think she’ll discover her playful side with a little more time.Aggie also has some classic “wrinkly dog” skin sensitivities and will need an owner who can help her care for her coat and keep her comfortable. This tender-hearted girl just needs patience, love, and stability to truly shine.Walk-ins are available from Tuesday to Friday from 1:00 PM - 6:00 PM. Saturday and Sundays have walk-in hours from noon to 4 PM. The best way to get in touch with us is by email: info@secondchancespca.org. Story
Wren is a happy-go-lucky boxer. Loving pretty much everything and everyone this sweet girl loves cacoons and dens, hanging out with her buddies (people and dogs), and eating snacks (who doesn't?). She is constant need of attention, but much like the boxer she is, she is very independant.  Wren was in a home, the owner was no longer capable of giving Wren the love and attention she needed. When she arrived here she sprinted around the yard, so excited to run around. She goes out with one buddy at the moment but we expect she does well with most dogs. Previous owner said she does well with dogs, cats, and children. We have not seen her around cats, but we know she does well with little kids.  She is house trained, does well on leash, and is attentive to people. She would do well in homes where she can get attention and plenty of time to be mentally stimulated or room to run!   ##1666551##
