Reason for Foster: Chronic Pyoderma & Eye concernsFoster Time Frame: 3+ Weeks Foster Care Plan: Cerberus requires a strict treatment plan, including eye medications three times daily and medicated baths twice a week. It's essential to follow the veterinarian's instructions closely to ensure the dog's health and recovery. Any adverse reactions should be reported immediately to the foster team. Huey is young and therefore has a lot of energy. He loves attention and to be kept busy. Huey is active, smart, and loves kids and other dogs. He sees every new face as a potential playmate. He would do best in a home with another play mate or an active family. At the facility he has staff and volunteers that have spent extra time with him in training, teaching commands and helping him take out all his pent-up energy. Huey is always ready for a walk, run, hike or a training session. Extremely treat motivated and very focused of what's being asked of him to do. Huey still needs more training, but he is an amazing dog. He loves to please his person and would love to have a job. His perfect home would be one with one or two people that are very active and super involved in his training or a family that has the time to take him on walks and keep his mind and body active. He won't do well in a house that wants a couch potato dog or calm dog. He needs stimulation to be calm afterwards. He was born in Jan 2020 and is located at the rescue. Included with adoption: Age-appropriate vaccinations, up to date heart-worm preventative, heart-worm test if over 6 months, microchip with registration, and spayed or neutered- if not already, a voucher is provided. Kow was born in 2014. He was returned to us in 2016 because his owners were mistreating him, and he became scared and reactive to some people. He has learned to trust people again and even though it might take some time to warm up he seems more comfortable. He is very spoiled by staff and volunteers. He loves the water and to run in the play yards. Kow would do best in a low traffic home, and he would love to go on walks with his owners. We do not recommend young children because of his past abuse.Included with adoption: Age-appropriate vaccinations, up to date heartworm preventative, heartworm test if over 6 months, microchip with registration, and spayed or neutered- if not already, a voucher is provided.

Having major surgery 10/9/2024, so hubby and I need to find him a furever home ASAP or we will have to send to shelter. 42 lbs. 18" tall. 22" long. Slight skin folds at head/neck with Labrador body & soft short coat. Spotted blue tongue. Unplanned rescue from a neglectful neighbor who got kicked out & abandoned him 8/19/2024. Constable wanted to take him to shelter, but we feared he would be put down so we took him in. In addition to providing him a home, stability, structure and training, we have had him microchipped, vaccinated, neutered, groomed. Professional trainer in use for his SharPei nature - reactivity (not dangerous - just loud and territorial), stubbornness, lack of human and dog socialization. Not for 1st time dog owners!! Completely housebroken. Crate-trained. Zero destruction. Self regulates his dog food and will leave dry food behind when full. Does not chew but loves pig ears and chasing balls. *Not for apartment living* 2 prepaid training sessions included ($400)
