Huey is young and therefore has a lot of energy. He loves attention and to be kept busy. Huey is active, smart, and loves kids and other dogs. He sees every new face as a potential playmate. He would do best in a home with another play mate or an active family. At the facility he has staff and volunteers that have spent extra time with him in training, teaching commands and helping him take out all his pent-up energy. Huey is always ready for a walk, run, hike or a training session. Extremely treat motivated and very focused of what's being asked of him to do. Huey still needs more training, but he is an amazing dog. He loves to please his person and would love to have a job. His perfect home would be one with one or two people that are very active and super involved in his training or a family that has the time to take him on walks and keep his mind and body active. He won't do well in a house that wants a couch potato dog or calm dog. He needs stimulation to be calm afterwards. He was born in Jan 2020 and is located at the rescue. Elsa was born in November 2014. She loves to show off her smile! Elsa loves to play and go on walks. She weighs in at a muscular 74 lbs. and with age she has become somewhat protective and less trusting. While she loves being loved, she is also very protective of those she lives with making her an excellent guardian dog. There is a bump on the top of her head which has been there since birth and has had regular visits for shots/well checks every year. She generally sleeps on a dog bed but has no issue plopping down and taking a nap anywhere. Elsa's best home would be one where she is the only animal in the house and if kids, they should be older. She would love a low traffic household were she can get most of the attention. Kow was born in 2014. He was returned to us in 2016 because his owners were mistreating him, and he became scared and reactive to some people. He has learned to trust people again and even though it might take some time to warm up he seems more comfortable. He is very spoiled by staff and volunteers. He loves the water and to run in the play yards. Kow would do best in a low traffic home, and he would love to go on walks with his owners. I adopted Blanca 6 months ago. I was told that I would always be able to WFH so I felt comfortable taking her in. I live in an apartment so I thought I could spend a lot of time entertaining her while I was working from home. 1 month in I was called back into the office full-time. For the past 5 months, I tried to make it work by trying to give her outlets for her energy after work, but I feel like she could be so much happier. She's the sweetest, smartest, and most loving dog. She loves everyone and every dog. When I see her running around the dog park and playing with other dogs, I see how happy she can be. While I'm at work, she waits patiently at home for me. I would love to see her in a home with other dogs, an owner who is home often, and/or a large yard where she can play. She could RUN outside for hours. I will give you everything I own for her and all I ask is that you please give her a loving home and a great life.

Buddy just came in so he is a tad nervous but friendly he is super sweet housebroken and dog friendly. He is 3 years old. Previous owners had to move and couldn’t take him. His skin is a tad itchy but we have him an oatmeal medicated bath and he also got a bravecto for fleas and tick so should be nice and shiny in no time. He has had all his shots and he is hw negative and neutered and microchip adoption fee is $300

Check out Ralphie's blond and black coat, but you might find his most adorable features are the wrinkles on his forehead giving him the nickname Wrinkly Ralph. He's just passed his second birthday and the more you get to know him, you'll see how playful and sweet this Shar Pei mix can be. Ralphie will sit on command, which isn't too difficult since he wants to be sitting next to his person anyway. Of course, if there's time for play, he's ready for that, too. He loves chasing his ball and hooping it up with his toys, either with people or with other dogs. Based on his passion for play and his easy-going temperament, he'd be happy having another dog to be his playmate and friend. He hasn't interacted with kids or cats just yet, but a home with a yard and space to play will brighten his world. Ralphie is cool with walks on his leash. He's healed up nicely from an injury in his past, but he still limps a little, so walking rather than running is a better option for outings. When it's time to call it a day, he'll sleep soundly in his crate, but why spend time in there during the day when there are toys and fun to be had.May 30, 2023, 4:35 am
