Story
Meet River, a sweet and spirited Boxer mix who’s ready to leave her rough beginnings behind and start the next chapter of her life with a family to call her own. Born on Valentine’s Day 2025, River came into our rescue with her brother after being found in heartbreaking conditions—several of their siblings had already been given away far too young, and they were left behind without proper care. Thankfully, River is now safe in a loving foster home in Colorado, where she’s thriving and showing just how special she truly is.
River is full of puppy energy and curiosity. She loves to run, play, and wrestle with her brother, but just as much, she adores snuggling up with her humans and soaking in all the affection she can get. She’s sweet, affectionate, and always eager to be part of the action, whether that means chasing a toy or curling up in your lap.
She’s looking for a family who can provide her with the security and structure she never had in her early days. River will benefit from continued training, a consistent routine, and lots of positive reinforcement to help her grow into a confident, well-mannered companion. With her lovable nature and resilient spirit, she’s ready to bring joy, laughter, and endless cuddles into her forever home.
OUR DOGS ARE FOSTERED IN TEXAS, COLORADO, OR PENNSYLVANIA BUT AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION AND TRANSPORT OUT OF STATE. Read below for more information.All of our dogs are located in a foster home in Texas, Colorado, or Pennsylvania. Our dogs are transported to a predetermined location agreed upon by the rescue. The adoption contract and fee are finalized prior to transport. As a Mutts N Such direct adoption, the adoption interview/meet and greet occurs on video call (Skype, FB Messenger call, Facetime, etc).Our out of state adoption fee is $350 plus transport (varies by location). This fee includes all current vaccinations, deworming, a registered microchip, fecal analysis, spay/neuter for pets 6 months & older, and a heartworm test if over 6 months old. All dogs will be current on flea/heartworm prevention. A health exam will be completed and a certificate issued by a veterinarian within 10 days.
