Meet Heimdall! Heimdall is an intelligent and loyal companion who came to SAS through no fault of his own. He loves children and has done well with children and teens of all ages. He has also done well meeting dogs off-leash, and has done well living with a cat. He is happy to spend time running or playing fetch at the park, but he is also content to lounge calmly around his home during the day.Pets are complex beings and prior to adoption, interested adopters will be counseled by a staff member to discuss the specific needs for each animal. Story
Say hello to Zorra! This gorgeous and loving young pup recently went to a foster home for a weekend. Here's what they had to say about her in their home: "She is a very sweet and loyal pup! She warmed up to me right away and was so good and patient with my resident dog. She respected his space and didn't mind that he didn't want to play with her much. She loves toys and anything she can chew on. She greeted everyone that we saw during our walks with tail wags and a big smile." Come meet Zorra today and fall in love just like we have!Pets are complex beings and prior to adoption, interested adopters will be counseled by a staff member to discuss the specific needs for each animal. Story
HISTORY: Rook is a very young German Shepherd puppy that was found running free on the streets Eastern Washington. UPDATE: Rook is high energy and definitely still acts like a young dog. He is super affectionate and would sometimes stop our walk just to come and get a cuddle from me. He’s working on his leash training. He is super curious. He’s a little startled with loud noises. When he gets nervous he presses up against me and acts really unsure if what he should do next, so I think he’ll need a good leader and someone who has a little more experience with shepherds. He is really friendly and sweet and I think would be a great dog for someone who’s active and also wants a big cuddlebug! ADOPTION INFO Dog adoption fees include: - All Basic Dog Vaccinations - Rabies - Bordetella - Flea & Tick Treatment - Spay (Up to $400) - Neuter (Up to 300) - Microchip & Registration All adoption fees go toward the care of all dogs and cats in our rescue. Story
Hazel is a 3.5 yrs old male German shepherd. He is with us since 2m old and has been a sweet and loyal family member with us since then. He is a handsome boy (got that comment from the vet), healthy, energetic, medium size (55lbs) plus a little shy with strangers and other dogs. Due to our busy schedule, we couldn't spend enough time to play with him. We'd like to find a loving family, experienced with dog, to have Hazel as a new family member, and be able to give him a better life than what we could offer. Giving out Hazel is a hard decision for us, and we'd like to know that he will be taken good care of in the new family.

Story
This is Kuzon. He a 12 year old shepherd mix. I have had him since he was 6 months old when I rescued him from a shelter. He is extremely sweet and loving. He is in great health for his age. He is older, but he definitely has several good years left. He is very loyal. When he grows attached to someone, he will never leave their side. He is house trained. He loves walks and treats. He doesn't need much "specialized" care, but he does require a lot of TLC. He just needs love and reassurance, and he is fine. He does experience some separation anxiety, but he is great with crates, and that helps a lot. He is a good fit for someone who has the time and energy to dote on him. I am looking to rehome him (after 12 years together) because of my job, I no longer have the time to give him the attention and care he needs. And my apartment doesn't give him the space he needs. I want to find a better place and better lifestyle for him.

Story
To meet Tuck, please email woof@thehausofdogs.com Tuck arrived at the adoption center after being picked up by animal control in the city of Sunnyside. When he first arrived at the adoption center he was a little unsure of the action, but as a new arrival and being located in the lobby who could blame the guy. Tuck has since come out of his shell and enjoys getting out of the kennel for some love. He went on a field trip with one of the employees and he did amazing in the car and was great to handle on the leash. Tuck is very treat motivated and does know his commands of "Off" and "Sit". He has met a few dogs at the adoption center and was a bit vocal, so a meet and greet with other animals in the home is recommended prior to adoption. Tuck is considered a large breed but he is only 62 pounds so he makes the perfect family or lap dog for any home. Tuck went to the SunDome for the March Muttness event and did amazing! He walked with both the staff and the public and loved the attention. Tuck had no issue being petted or approached by the crowd while kenneled and loved getting treats. He watched all the action from his kennel and was a big fan of all the attention.

Story
Meet Quazi! He is an 6 month old Malinois Mix and is approximately 50lbs. Quazi is a very sweet and cuddly boy that loves to play and be active. He is still in the puppy "maligator" phase where everything needs to be explored with our mouth. He knows sit, down, come, and leave it. We are working on stay and no. He is kennel trained and potty trained. We are workimg on sleeping through the night without a midnight potty break. He loves other dogs, but does not respect their boundaries and signals to leave them alone yet. He can live with cats, but will chase and is a little nippy and food possessive around cats. He would make a great dog for bite drive sports as his favorite thing to do is play tug. He has had his femoral head osteotomy to remove his femoral head and healing is going great! He has a small limp and probably will for life, but is getting around really well so far. He would benefit from continuing rehab exercises as well as glucosamine/fish pils for life. Quazi is being fostered in San Antonio Texas and is available for transport throughout the US and Canada.
