Hi I am Taquito,I am so happy to see you are reading my profile. I can’t wait until I have my forever family. I am a sweet little guy who loves nothing more than to play with other dogs. I am good and respectful of children too. I haven’t lived with cats, but I am curious about them, maybe they would be good to play with, but I am not sure.I love car rides and I don’t get sick or anything so I think I would make a great traveler. I have been to the beach, but swimming is not my thing. I like to run along the water and catch the waves. Maybe that is something we could do together.I haven’t had much of a chance to play with toys, but I am sure that if I had them, I would have fun with them. I am good to walk on a leash with you and get very excited when I see the leash come out. I will need some work on the basic commands like sit, come, and stay but I am smart so we could work on that together. I will let you know when I need to go out to do my business. If it sounds like we could be a family together then just fill out the application and we can meet on a Zoom call.Lots of love to give,Taquito To get more information go to https://hope4lapawz.org/adopt and click on the dog's photo. Hello, I am Truffles! The shelter volunteers say I'm a good boy and have been one of their favorites - I walk nicely on leash and will check in with you often while walking. Very attentive! I sure love treats and am happy to work for them and learn new tricks. (So far I've mastered 'sit'.) I'm a quiet guy with a chill, laidback vibe. I'm a mellow, sweet and curious boy who can't wait to explore the world - or just the neighborhood - with my new family!Pets are complex beings and prior to adoption, interested adopters will be counseled by a staff member to discuss the specific needs for each animal. Story
Here's a very handsome buddy who will cuddle with you all day if you let him, walk by your side and truly care about you! This is Spike, and he is an emotionally intelligent dog. He loves to sleep, smell the air and be a big, cute lover. He has a playful, come-along attitude and is always ready for an adventure. Spike is a dog who is quite comfortable in tight spaces, as his last owner lived from a van, so he would be a great buddy for someone who enjoys traveling or lives a van-life!One of Spike's best friend describes a visit with Spike: he is so excited to see me right off the bat! Happy to be outside. He knows there are always treats coming on these walks, so he is always zeroed in on that idea, but if I tell him "No More Treats" he will gladly move along to sniff around and just check his surroundings. If I get down to his level, he will approach to cuddle and smoosh his forehead into my body. He is very strong and will push me until I tip! Our walks have been largely undistracted and he doesn't get off track to bark or try to run. I'm not allowed to drop Spike's leash, but if I did, I know he wouldn't go anywhere. He's been well trained to stay next to you because he knows that's where he belongs. He will happily play tug of war with the shelter staff. Spike just wants to be a part of things, and is a great companion for walks!Spike comes from a "ruff" background but had a very loving former owner. He has been spoiled, buddied and cuddled his whole life and he just wants that good life back. Can you make it happen?Pets are complex beings and prior to adoption, interested adopters will be counseled by a staff member to discuss the specific needs for each animal. Story
Meet Biscuit – Darling girl! HISTORY: Biscuit came into rescue in March 2022. She is believed to have been born around March 2020. She is 65-lb pit bull looking to be the baby of her family. Loyal, sweetheart, goofball and loving. If these are qualities you are looking for in your next dog, then read on! FOSTER UPDATE: Biscuit is an active girl who loves daily exercise, long walks & hiking. She has loads of hugs and kisses for you! She is potty trained & has basic training. Biscuit's favorite activities include basking in the glow of her personal space heater, chasing her tail, cuddling with her people, playing with her rope, going on walks and going B-Y-E, B-Y-E in the C-A-R. for fun adventures. Biscuit is a wonderfully sweet dog who is shy when first meeting someone, and needs you to show that you are kind and trustworthy, But once her friend, always your friend! Due to Biscuit not realizing her own size (she thinks she's a 10-lb lapdog), she'd do best in a home with older children and NO small dogs. She wants all your attention and pets and you won't be able to refuse! She previously did live with a cat but it was not a good fit as Biscuit does have a prey drive. (She only chased the cat; she didn't try to harm him). DOG ADOPTION FEE INCULDES: All basic vaccines including rabies, flea/tick treatment, spay/neuter and microchip! If you're interested in ADOPTING or FOSTERING, please go to our Website and Click on the BIG RED BUTTON that says…DOG Adoption/Foster Application.https://www.redwagginrescue.org/adoptPlease don’t hesitate to contact us at ConnellPetRescue@gmail.com, if you have any questions or would like more information. ##1346034##

Bruce is absolutely adorable. He is a really good dog and it breaks my heart to have to give him away, but I'm getting divorced and neither of us can have him in the new places we are living. We got him from a pet store on Whidbey Island Critters and CO Pet Center and Rescue, a great place that had his whole litter. He was checked out by a vet to make sure he was in good shape and came from a good home. He is half lab half boxer. He needs a yard and would be a great addition to a family with kids, or for anyone who wants a sweet companion. He is super loving and wants to please. He hardly barks and is not hyper for a dog his age so I can image he will be a mellow dog as he gets older We got him in December, and he was born September 10, 2023.

Story
Welcome Salem to CCPAL Rescue. Salem is a 4.5-year-old beauty. She is a Boxer/Staffordshire Terrier that weighs about 60 pounds. She is a beautiful grey and tan coat that is shiny and she is not too big of a shedding dog. She is loyal and does get along with dogs. Her preference is smaller male dogs or smaller submissive females. She was adopted as a puppy and returned at 4 years old because she didn’t get along with the other female dog in the home. She loves people and loves kids. She is potty trained, good on a leash and good in a car. She is very affectionate and slept with her family in the bed at night. She was really nice to all the people she met today at the rescue. She loved cuddles and being petted. We could adopt her locally with other dogs and we can test the dogs out. If she goes outside the state of Texas she would make a great only dog. She would be a great companion dog for someone wanting an outdoor companion on your activities and a dog willing to cuddle when you want to chill and read a book. She is the best of both worlds. She is house trained and goes potty outside. They have worked with trainers so she is skilled as far as training goes and was following direction nicely at the Rescue. She could be adopted locally in Texas or we can work with one of the wonderful transporters to get this gorgeous dog to Washington, Portland (Oregon), Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. Her adoption fee is 300 and transport is 200. She if fully vetted, healthy and ready for her forever home. She can go with children. We like them to be 8 or older. Rhode Island and Massachusetts are not states we adopt to because of the regulations imposed by these states. Contact Marlene at 210-867-1769 or email ccpalinquiries@gmail.com if you have questions. Online applications at www.ccpalrescue.org/ See her cute video.
