Story
Meet Brawny, a bodacious bundle of blundering bliss! He loves to frolic, do zoomies with his dog friends, and then is ready to cuddle up on the couch for a movie night.   Brawny is a sensitive soul, and his ideal human is someone he can find leadership and consistency with. He thrives with routine and boundaries, and can’t wait to brave the world with a buddy he can trust. Once he bonds with someone, he’s ready to be a bro for life!  This guy loves spending time with his humans and a dog buddy after a proper introduction. In fact, he adores having a dog friend and other dogs give him so much more confidence with the world! His ideal canine playmate is confident, easy going, and sturdy who can handle his rough and tumble ways. Brawny likes to bumble about and will sometimes bowl into anyone in his path, so he would appreciate someone who can take a hit, get back up, and go for more!  Are you looking for a hiking buddy? Look no further! Brawny loves the quiet outdoors and can’t wait to discover a private oasis for just him and his favorite companions! He’s no city boy - only open fields and secluded hideaways for this humble lug!  Brawny would do best in a quiet home where he can anticipate relaxing and calm daily agendas. Too much activity or loud noises can be stressful for him and he deserves a peaceful place to rest his head after a hard day of play!  Brawny is crate trained, house trained, and has mastered all his basic cues. He’s super smart and eager to please, making training a pleasure! Brawny has spent some time around cats and just wanted to avoid them, so we think he would be ok in a home with kitties with proper introductions.  Brawny was born in December 2019, so he is 3 years old, and weighs around 70 pounds. He is a Pit Bull/German Shepherd mix and 100% good boy! If interested in adopting Brawny, please fill out an application at: https://www.forgottendogsrescue.com/adoption-application  Brawny’s adoption fee is $425 and he is neutered, up to date on vaccines, and is microchipped.  Per our rescue policy, unless specifically noted in a dog's bio, we will not consider adoption applications from families with children under 5 years old. See more pictures of Brawny on his Facebook album! https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.3513550098663762&type=3 ##986375##

Story
Harrison is a big brindle bundle of snuggles and fun who will make a loving addition to a lucky family! He is ALL about his people and, if for some reason he isn't able to physically be near them, he will collect some of their belongings and snuggle them as a substitute. SO CUTE! This guy is pretty low-key and one of his favorite activities is snuggling on the couch. He also has firm ideas about bedtime and puts himself to bed when it gets dark outside. Hysterical! He loves going on walks and casual strolls through a quiet neighborhood or field. He's been making great progress with loose leash walking and, while he can be reactive if he sees other animals, he's been learning to ignore. Harrison would be best as the only animal in his forever home and would prefer a house with a fenced yard. He does well with older children 10+ and is very gentle with them. He adores kids and will solicit attention and pets and takes treats politely. Harrison is comfortable in his crate and has been working with his foster family on other skills like sit, wait, down, and muzzle conditioning. He's a super smart pup, food motivated, and very eager to please! Health Information: Harrison has some skin allergies and takes daily apoquel to keep comfortable. Harrison is 7-8 years old and weighs 75lbs. He is a pit bull type dog who insists he is a lap dog, but if you disagree, he is willing to compromise and only put his legs in your lap! If you're looking for a handsome, snuggly and loving addition to your family, Harrison could be for you! Harrison's adoption fee is $425. He is neutered, up to date on vaccines, and is microchipped. Per our rescue policy, unless specifically noted in a dog's bio, we will not consider adoption applications from families with children under 5 years old.  Fill out an adoption application for Harrision at: https://www.forgottendogsrescue.com/adoption-application See more photos of Harrison on his Facebook album! https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.531973772305648&type=3 ##1588253##

Story
Princess Boba Tea is looking for a quiet royal oasis! This sweet little royal is a low energy and mellow companion. If you are looking for the epitome of a couch potato to be your new best friend, Boba could be for you! When her people come home, Boba goes into full wiggle mode, curling her body into a C of joy! She also sits up and waves her front paws. Too cute! Princess Boba Tea can be fearful meeting new people, so introductions should be slow and she should be allowed to approach new people in her own time. Once you have won your way into her inner circle though, she makes YOU feel like royalty with her kisses and cuddling! Boba has done well with other dogs with proper intros and would do well with a calm, confident canine sibling in her forever home. She isn't big on playing and prefers to just hang out, a total couch potato! When cat tested, Boba was a bit nervous of kitties but wasn't fixated on them at all, so we think she would be ok in a home with cats with proper intros. Princess Boba would be happiest in a fairly calm home without lots of noise or activity. A quiet and comfy castle with a gentle canine co-ruler is ideal. Great in the car, Boba also enjoys being your copilot on scenic drives. Boba prefers walks in quiet areas, followed by couch time and snuggles! Surprises on a walk, like loud noises, a bike, or a person suddenly appearing, can cause Boba to bark and react. She's been gaining confidence in the outside world, and her adopters should be prepared to continue working with her. Because of her insecurity at times out on walks, Boba wouldn't be a good fit for an apartment or condo environment.  Boba Tea is 6 years old and weighs about 50 lbs. She is a pit bull type dog and is the perfect sized velvet hippo! She can't wait to find her forever nap partner and snuggle companion! Boba Tea's adoption fee is $425. She is spayed, up to date on vaccines and is microchipped. Per our rescue policy, unless specifically noted in a dog's bio, we will not consider adoption applications from families with children under 5 years old.  Fill out an adoption application for Princess Boba Tea at: https://www.forgottendogsrescue.com/adoption-application See more photos of Boba on her Facebook album: https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.523266453176380&type=3 ##1580551##

Story
Asha is a beautiful, laid back girl who has dubbed herself the Queen of Snuggles.  Seriously, if there was a town called Snuggleville, Asha would be ruling it! Give her the chance and an inch of space, and this girl will find a way to start a snuggle fest. She loves to be around her people!  Be it inside or outside, Asha is psyched to hang out, and if snacks are involved, even better! When not snuggling, her favorite activities include supervising yard work (sometimes from the comfort of a lawn chair), watching movies, and posing for photos!  Asha likes the quiet life. She would prefer a calm home without other dogs or cats, where she can reign supreme in the land of snuggles. A private yard where she can lounge in the sun or frolic with abandon is the key to her happiness. This stunning girl also has poise! Asha knows the cues for sit and down, and waits patiently for her dinner! Her house manners are on point! Out in the world, Asha is very unsure around other dogs and has some reactivity that will need continued work with adopters. She will thrive with someone who can give her structure and help her build her confidence. We estimate Asha to be around 7 years old and weighs about 50 lbs. She is a pit bull mix and has the silly, loveable, and snuggly personality to prove it! Asha was transferred to us with torn ACLs, which we were able to repair, and now she is good as new and ready to show you her favorite snuggle positions for maximum cuddle cuteness!  If interested in adopting Asha, please fill out an application at:  https://www.forgottendogsrescue.com/adoption-application Asha’s adoption fee is $425 and is spayed, up to date on vaccines, and microchipped. Per our rescue policy, unless specifically noted in a dog's bio, we will not consider adoption applications from families with children under 5 years old. **See more photos of Asha on her Facebook album!  https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?vanity=forgottendogsrescue&set=a.3679500495402054 ##986380##

Story
Who’s here for the shorties?! We are! Meet Sheldon, the most adorable super mutt pup you’ll ever meet. Sheldon is a shy and silly little sweetheart looking for a quiet and patient household that will let him open up in his own time.  Sheldon ADORES being around other dogs! He is currently in a foster home with four other dogs of various sizes and LOVES playing with his foster siblings. Sheldon will be the happiest in an adoptive home that has at least one confident dog in it for him to bond with.  As a shy guy, Sheldon takes time to warm up to people and prefers it when humans ignore him and let him come to them when he’s ready. He is a little shadow, following you around the house, but prefers not to be the one followed! Even if you have a treat in hand, he will prefer his space. However, if you sit on the couch and ignore him, he may choose to become a ridiculous little cuddlebug! Slowly, but surely, he’s learning to welcome pets, cuddles and kisses! Sheldon’s ideal home is quiet and without lots of activity. He’s definitely a homebody and is not a fan of walks or new places, so needs a house with a securely fenced yard. He came to us from the Humane Society of Tacoma and Pierce County after he had been found as a stray and may have had a rough go of life, which is why he is so timid around new people and situations. Sheldon will need someone who is understanding and willing to go at his pace to build a relationship on his terms.  We estimate Sheldon was born around December 2021, so he is a little over a year old, and weighs about 30 pounds. He had a DNA test done and he really is a supermutt! He is a pit bull type dog mixed with Beagle, Basset Hound, Shih Tzu, & more! He’s quite the character! We know that with time, patience, and positivity, Sheldon will learn to be more confident in the world. If you are interested in adopting Sheldon, fill out an adoption application at https://www.forgottendogsrescue.com/adoption-application Sheldon’s adoption fee is $425 and he is neutered, up to date on vaccines, and microchipped.  Due to his sensitive nature, Sheldon would do best in a child-free environment. Story
Penny Lou is looking for her forever home! This girl is such a sweetheart and is the best snuggler around! In fact, she could teach a master class in napping and cuddling! She can’t get enough of sleeping in all her favorite cozy places, and will cram her adorable self into the tiniest spaces just to cuddle by your side. Penny enjoys going on short walks along familiar routes where there aren't loud or unexpected things to encounter. She absolutely loves getting her sniff-on, but can get anxious in unknown circumstances. Quiet on-leash parks and Sniff-Spots are a perfect outing option for her! This girl also LOVES car rides! She enjoys visiting familiar places, like her favorite pet store, or just going out for a drive- no destination needed! And while she may not be an eager adventure companion, she’ll love being your copilot! Penny Lou is a total lovebug, and her new family will need to understand that while she will dole out all the cuddles at home, she can be fearful and anxious in new situations, or when there’s too much activity going on. She does great meeting new people however, and loves treats and reassurance. Penny Lou is not very high energy, but she would love a home with a fenced yard where she can feel safe while doing her business and the occasional zoomie!! She would also be happiest in a fairly calm and quiet home, preferably with older kids with whom she can share her cuddling secrets! Presently, Penny Lou is enjoying the single-dog life and getting spoiled! She’ll return the spoils tenfold by demonstrating how seriously she takes snuggle time! With slow introductions and time to acclimate, it is possible she could do well with another laid back and chill dog.  We estimate that Penny Lou was born around 2017 and she weighs 55 pounds. If you are looking for a professional napping partner, Penny Lou is the pup for you!  Penny Lou’s adoption fee is $425 and she is spayed, up to date on vaccines, and microchipped. Per our rescue policy, unless specifically noted in a dog's bio, we will not consider adoption applications from families with children under 5 years old. Story
Cam is a 3 year old brindle Pitbull and 80lbs full of love, kisses, cuddles and affection. Current on vaccines, neutered, house broken and knows basic commands. He has spent the last 4 months in private and group training working on reactivity and mastering, sit, down, stay and focus without a leash. Cam may be the most social people loving dog you have ever met. He is so happy and excited to meet everyone he can be a little overwhelming to people or annoying to other dogs. Does not get along with unneutered dogs and has fear of motorcycles and bicycles. He needs to be in a home without children and the focus of attention on him. We currently need to rehome our sweet boy as he has become jealous of our daughter. We are looking for someone with experience with the Pitbull breed that can offer Cam the life he deserves.

Not good with cats,
Story
Brooke is a huge sweetheart. She is one of the cuddliest and most affectionate dogs you will ever meet. She's always crawling into your lap, pushing her whole bodyweight into you for a hug, or crawling under the covers with you to snuggle all night long. She likes to play tug and roll around in the grass at the park. Brooke is a smart dog who picks up training quickly and is eager to please. She knows sit, down, wait, leave it, and boop (touch hand with nose). She is potty trained if walked on schedule. She is not spayed. She acts very excited to interact with other dogs and will pull hard towards them while on the leash, but she has never shown any signs of aggression when approached. She lived with dogs in her previous home. She has separation anxiety when left alone. I am normally home all the time so she will need to adjust to being left alone. She is crate trained but you will need a strong crate to avoid her breaking out of it when left alone.

Story
Brooke was found in a city park and taken in by a park worker. She was cared for about 2 months before we took her. We've had her for about 8 months, but due to mental health issues we can't care for her any longer. She's a young care-free dog that loves being social. The antithesis to myself. Cuddles, people, and play are her favorite things. I have been training her and she walks well on a leash, knows many commands, and even a trick or 2. She needs a care taker that'll help her feel comfortable a lone, that lucky individual will have a life long shadow that'll be ready to go on any adventure!

Story
Hi! My name is Ahsoka! I was brought to RASKC by a good samaritan on 4/6/23. Now I`m ready to find my new home!I`m three years old but don`t let that fool you - I am a puppy at heart when it comes to my personality! I love to play, especially with stuffed toys. I love them so much, I usually like to carry one around with me when I go out. Outside I`m a bouncy, playful girl who wants to make you the center of my world! I love working with my human friends for toys or treats, and I`m a fast learner too. I know some basics already, like sit, down and off.My energy level is moderate to high and I`m pretty strong, so a home where walks, maybe even runs or hikes, are a regular occurance would be best for me. I like playing in the yard, but I could also use more targetted exercise to really satisfy my needs. I`m 57lbs, putting me on the `large side of medium.` Because of my energy level and strength, I do best with dog-savvy kids.My personality color is RED. I am a spirited dog with a fun-loving personality! I am still working on my manners, so I would do best with a family who is willing to work with me and help me become the best dog I can be!

Story
Hi! My name is Ruby, and I am available for adoption.I weigh 51.0 lbs and am considered a `medium breed` dog.I was originally brought to RASKC on December 1, 2021. I was then adopted and then transferred from another animal shelter back to here after my owner passed away. I am a smart girl who knows how to sit, shake paws, and follow new instructions. I am a medium sized dog who sleeps and lounges throughout the day. I would love to curl up next to you or in your lap. Ruby loves to play with her toys and likes fetching. My caregivers have observed that I seem to be dog selective. I have done well with other dogs my size with a more gentle playing style but I have also met other dogs that I do not get along with. I can get a little excited every now and then so I need a playmate who will be able to tell me when I am pushing their boundaries. When meeting dogs in a new home I would do best with a slow introduction.I cannot go to a home with children.I really enjoy people and just want to hug you or give me your paw so that you can hold it!I am food motivated, but have skin sensitivies so I need to be a special diet for my sensitivities. My personality color is RED. I am a spirited dog with a fun-loving personality! I am still working on my manners, so I would do best with a family who is willing to work with me and help me become the best dog I can be!

Hi! My name is Dave! I was brought to RASKC by a good samaritan on May 11th, 2023. Now I`m looking for my new home!I`m an easy going guy with simple interests: treats, toys and people. I`m very friendly! So friendly, in fact, that I even smile when I`m excited! I would love someone who wants to go for leisurely walks and play around with a ball or tug rope. I weigh about 60lbs and am considered a `large breed` dog. In the shelter, I`ve done well meeting with other large dogs. If you have other dogs at home, a slow introduction would be best for me. Because of my size and young, playful nature, I would probably be best suited to a home without very young children. My personality color is GREEN. I am an adaptable dog who loves to go with the flow! I am outgoing and carefree, and I just can`t wait to find my forever home!
