Cheeto is great with dogs, cats, and kids, and yes — he knows he’s good-looking. He’s hoping for a forever home with someone who’s home more often than not, because he truly thrives with companionship. Cheeto hasn’t had the easiest start in life. He survived being shot and hit by a car, and later required FHO (a surgical procedure that removes the head and neck of the femur of the dog with hip issues that limit their mobility, ultimately restoring mobility) surgery. The good news? He’s fully recovered and doing well Due to his past injuries, Cheeto may occasionally knuckle (knuckling, occurs when a paw curls under, forcing the dog to walk on the top of its paw rather than the pads) on one leg, usually when he’s trying to move too fast or run. He instantly corrects it. It doesn’t stop him from enjoying life — it’s just part of what makes him him. He would do best in a home with a fenced yard and not many stairs. Cheeto is resilient, loving, and ready to trade his rough past for a future full of comfort, laughs, and love. Dusty is an adorable 3-year-old special needs Shih Tzu. He was abandoned in our lobby by his owner, without saying a word. He was so confused as to what was going on, but he slowly began to trust. Dusty was so heavily matted we could barely see him, but when the veterinarians shaved his fur, they noticed his left eye had glaucoma. His eye was removed and he is recovering in his foster home. Missing one eye has not slowed him down. He is very inquisitive of everything around him. This poor guy needs a stable and patient home where he can learn that people are good and he’s going to be taken care of forever.

Bear is an adorable male Shih Tzu/Lhasa Terrier mix with a DOB of approximately 12/17/25. This sweet boy had a rough start — he, his parents and his brother were sadly left behind when their owner moved away. Unfortunately, his brother passed away before being transported to our rescue. Thankfully, Bear's wonderful mama, Lola, has taken amazing care of him every step of the way. Now Bear is ready to find his very own forever family! He is a playful, curious little guy who loves exploring the world around him. Whether he’s investigating new toys or bouncing around during playtime, Bear brings joy wherever he goes. He’s the perfect mix of fun and sweetness. Bear should be just the right small size when fully grown — his mama weighs around 8 lbs and his dad, Bobby, is 13.5 lbs. (And yes, his dad, Bobby, is also available for adoption! His mom Lola will be available for adoption in the near future.) If you’re looking for a small, loving, and playful companion to grow with your family, Bear might be your perfect match. Bear is up to date on vaccinations, dewormed, and microchipped. His spay/neuter procedure will be covered by the rescue at 6 months of age when completed through one of our approved veterinary clinics.
