Benjamin is looking for his forever home! This handsome boy was found matted roaming around Kankakee. Kankakee County Animal Control shaved him and he looked like a totally different pup! Our best guess is that he is a Shih Zhu. Benjamin, or Benji as his foster family calls him, is reportedly one of the best dogs ever. He is extremely calm and relaxed - you'd never guess his age. Benji also loves to play. He has done really well with the other dogs that he has met and also kids! Benji would be a great addition to any family. Coco is a sweet little 8 year-old, 13lb Shih Tzu who’s always ready for a walk or a snuggle.    Coco has come a long way since she arrived in rescue. She has most of her sight but does have dry eyes.  She’s really drawn to women. not so great with kids and slow to warm up to men but she does if allowed to have time. She’d do great in a quiet home where she could be spoiled, and she does well with the resident small breed dogs.   Coco will be perfect for an adult only home where she can spend lots of time getting love, walks, and attention from owners who cherish her. He is a very sweet and mellow dog that is great with other dogs. Henri is very affectionate and quiet (not a barker). He is house-trained and great in a car. Henri is scared of the leash, so his adopter should plan to continue to work with him on this. Henri has dry eye and will need eye meds the rest of his life. Danny is sweet and adorable and needs sponsors for his medical care. Danny was found as a stray and taken to a shelter. Both of his eyes were damaged so they were removed, he was neutered he got a dental, is up to date on shots, micro-chipped, heart-worm and fecal tested negative. He gets along fine being blind and is good with other dogs. He is about 15 years old, 13 lbs, a shih tzu, He is very comfortable in his foster home so we consider him a forever foster.
