Bear is an adorable male Shih Tzu/Lhasa Terrier mix with a DOB of approximately 12/17/25. This sweet boy had a rough start — he, his parents and his brother were sadly left behind when their owner moved away. Unfortunately, his brother passed away before being transported to our rescue. Thankfully, Bear's wonderful mama, Lola, has taken amazing care of him every step of the way. Now Bear is ready to find his very own forever family! He is a playful, curious little guy who loves exploring the world around him. Whether he’s investigating new toys or bouncing around during playtime, Bear brings joy wherever he goes. He survived being shot and hit by a car, and later required FHO (a surgical procedure that removes the head and neck of the femur of the dog with hip issues that limit their mobility, ultimately restoring mobility) surgery. He’s fully recovered and doing well Due to his past injuries, Cheeto may occasionally knuckle (knuckling, occurs when a paw curls under, forcing the dog to walk on the top of its paw rather than the pads) on one leg, usually when he’s trying to move too fast or run.
