Story
Meet Lulu 🐾✨ We know. She’s ridiculously cute. 😍 But Lulu is more than just a pretty face—she’s a sweet, quirky, slightly hot-mess express who will need the right person to help her feel safe and confident. Lulu has some pretty big stranger danger and can become overwhelmed by the world around her. When things feel like too much, her preference is to hide, and she may submissively urinate when meeting new people. She isn’t going to walk into a new home and immediately be everyone’s best friend—earning her trust will take time, patience, and understanding. Once comfortable, there’s a fun, energetic girl underneath all those nerves! Lulu loves fetch, has enjoyed playing with other dogs—including a large Lab—and previously did well at dog parks. She is crate trained for up to about 5 hours but prefers a smaller, cozy crate, as larger ones make her nervous. She’ll also need regular grooming to keep that adorable exterior looking its best. Lulu needs someone who sees the whole dog behind that cute face and is willing to give her the time and security she needs to let her personality shine. ❤️ • Around 2 years old • Currently 10 lbs • Good with dogs and cats • Adoption fee: $400 This dog is in foster. Please email dogs@adoptapetfenton.com to schedule an appointment. Include information about your family and pets, what you are looking for in a canine companion, how you plan to exercise and train this dog, and why this specific dog seems like a good fit for your family. We offer same-day adoptions, do not place holds, and work on a first-come, first-served basis to ensure the best fit for both the dog and adopter. Adoption fees include spay/neuter, age-appropriate vaccines, deworming, preventatives, heartworm testing (if age-appropriate), microchip, and dental cleaning if needed. Future veterinary care will be the adopter’s responsibility.

Story
What a happy girl! Daisy is estimated to be about 6 years old and weighs 27 pounds. Meet Daisy, she has the waggiest tail and is so fun spirited! Sadly, her owner had to go into an assisted living facility, and Daisy found herself at the rescue. She came to us quite matted, but she looks just wonderful now after a nice trip to the groomer. Daisy is very social and likes to greet everyone with her friendly manner. This girl also loves her walks, she happily trots along and likes to use her nose too and smell everything. She is a little rotund at the moment though and could definitely lose a few pounds, so it would be great if her new family likes to walk and maybe play with her, she just loves toys. Daisy can't wait to be back in a home with someone to love her, she really is going to make such a nice little friend. She would love it if you came to meet her. She will need a home where any children are at least 13 years old as she lived in a quieter, low key type of home and that is what she is used to. If you are interested in Daisy and are at least 21 years old, please come to our kennel during business hours, make an appointment, or fill out an application at k9stray.com and an adoption counselor will be in touch. We look forward to helping you find your new best friend! *Please check your lease agreements for breed/weight restrictions prior to applying. We also do not do cat testing, so we do not know how a dog will do with cats. Not all dogs are available to go home on the same day you first meet.*

Story
Who is that cutie peeking at you with those teefers! Essie is estimated to be about 4 years old and weighs 13 pounds. Poor sweet Essie seems afraid of the world right now. As you can see from some of her before pictures, she came to us very matted and quite shut down. Every day she is getting a little braver and is opening up more and we are very proud of her. One of Essie's favorite things is if you sit on the floor, she likes to slowly come over and snuggle on your lap, one of our volunteers even got some kisses on her arm during snuggle time and it made her day! Essie is afraid of fast movements, so you really have to move slow with her, that is very important. She is starting to get used to a leash so that is nice for potty time. For her grooming appointment she was a bit anxious but settled after a little time. Essie was not too happy about having her feet done, but who can blame her, her feet and legs were a terrible, matted mess. She will need a patient adopter who will give her the time she needs to feel safe, help build her confidence and let her blossom. Essie will need a quiet, adult only, more predictable type home. We also want to keep Essie safe, and with her being so scared, we feel she is a flight risk and will need a fenced in yard. She would love it if you came to meet her, she can't wait for a family to love and who will care for her like she deserves. If you are interested in Essie and are at least 21 years old, please come to our kennel during business hours, make an appointment, or fill out an application at k9stray.com and an adoption counselor will be in touch. We look forward to helping you find your new best friend! *Please check your lease agreements for breed/weight restrictions prior to applying. Thank you for your interest in rescue. please fill out an application Blair’s Buddies Pet Rescue Adoption Application at: https://form.jotform.com/92997860676177 and a foster will contact you and answer any questions you may have. Thank you. Hi! Lola is 8 months old. Came from a breeder that didn’t end up breeding her. She is a good girl that loves attention. We are working on potty training. She does her morning business outside but throughout the day it’s hit or miss but over all good. Sleeps perfect in a crate at night. Loves kids! I am also fostering an 8 week old kitten she is curious but no prey drive. I also have big cats of my own she has no problem with. I have a female dog of my own 20lbs she gets along great with. I’m watching a 100lb male dog and she had no problems with him either. She actually try’s to play with him but he is 10 and has arthritis so he just stands there. lol

Unfortunately, at this time we are not currently adopting outside of the state of MI. We process applications ONLY - there is no guarantee that you will get a response to an inquiry. MEET HAZY:  Meet Hazy: The Sweetest, Snuggliest Introvert Looking for Her Quiet Forever Hello, my name is Hazy. I’m about 2 years and 7 months old, and my journey hasn’t been an easy one. I was found as a stray in Detroit, scared, confused, and covered in painful mats. I didn’t know kindness, and the world felt very big and loud. My time was almost up until my angels at Furever Tails Animal Rescue saved me. Now, I’m safe in a foster home, and I’m learning what love feels like. I’m ready to find my person—my true forever home. Here’s what you should know about me: My Personality:I am a certified introvert and a gentle soul. I’m not a social butterfly; I’m more of a "stay-at-home-and-snuggle" kind of girl. Loud noises, busy places, and lots of strangers are too much for my nervous heart. I dream of a calm, low-key home where the vibe is peaceful. My Friends: I can politely coexist with other calm, mellow dogs my size and with cats, as long as they respect my space (I’m not much for playdates). But I don’t need animal siblings—I would be perfectly happy as your one-and-only, soaking up all your attention. My Home Needs:Because I startle easily, I *must* have a securely fully fenced yard. I should never be left outside alone or tethered. Social walks are scary for me, so my outdoor time will be best in my own safe yard. My People: I am currently living with a wonderful, patient foster family with two women and two rescue-savvy teens. I do best with calm, predictable adults or older teens who understand shy dogs. A home without lots of visitors or chaotic energy is my ideal. The Most Important Thing: I am *not a "turn-key" dog*. I will need time, immense patience, and quiet consistency to learn to trust. I am not recommended for first-time dog owners. But I promise you this: once I know I am safe with you, my love is boundless. I will become your most loyal shadow, your bed-snuggling expert, and your quiet, devoted companion. I am looking for a hero—not someone who wants a party, but someone who offers a peaceful harbor. Someone who sees that a shy, timid dog has a huge capacity for love waiting to bloom. If you have a quiet heart and a quiet home, and you’re ready to commit to earning the trust of a sweet, sensitive soul… then I might be your girl. Could you be my safe place? Interested in giving Hazy her happily ever after? Please fill out an adoption application and we will get back to you shortly. Share to help Hazy find her perfect, patient match! Story
Meet Muffin and Chewy, two adorable Shih Tzu mixes who have spent years together and are hoping to find a loving home where they can stay side by side. They are in need of a new home because their elderly owner can no longer care for them. Muffin is a gentle 9-year-old sweetheart weighing about 10 pounds. She can be a little shy at first and prefers to take her time getting comfortable with new people and situations. When she feels safe, her playful side shines through! She loves playing fetch, exploring the outdoors, and showing off commands like sit and lay down. Muffin is happiest with patient, understanding people who will let her build trust at her own pace.Chewy is a 7-year-old bundle of personality weighing around 6 pounds. He absolutely loves treats, attention, and being close to his people. Cheerful and energetic, Chewy is always ready to make sure he gets his share of affection—and maybe a little extra! While he enjoys cuddles and pets, he prefers keeping all four paws on the ground and isn`t a fan of being carried.Together, Muffin and Chewy make the perfect pair. They clearly enjoy each other’s company and have formed a strong bond over the years. They provide comfort, companionship, and confidence to one another, and we would love to see them adopted together. Both dogs are pad-trained and have also done well going potty outside. They previously lived with an elderly owner and have adapted well to their routine. They are smart, loving dogs who have learned commands in the past and would likely continue to thrive with gentle guidance, patience, and plenty of positive reinforcement. They are both very sweet dogs and have been around children generally ages 8 and older. They have had limited interaction with other dogs and animals, so their reactions in those situations are somewhat unknown. They are good alert watch dogs and bark when people walk past the house or ring the doorbell, but they have never shown aggression toward people. We would like to find a great new home for them together with someone who will provide them with a more fulfilled life where they are loved and have more access to the outdoors.Estimated birthday~~6/15/17_____Standard and Special Breed adoption fees includes age-appropriate vaccinations, heartworm test, spay/neuter and microchip! Please click on the links for adoption application and more information:paawarren.org/adopt/adoption-application-f
